I never had a thing for football players.
That is, until I met the three of them.

I normally don’t like college parties.
I only went that night to keep my roommate company.
Yet when the sexiest, most muscular man I’ve ever met started flirting with me?
Well, let’s just say I didn’t go back to my dorm room that night.

But the devilish rogue who took me home isn’t just another student.
He’s Danny Armstrong, the star quarterback of the football team.
And getting into my pants isn’t the only thing on his mind.

He and two of his teammates need a physical trainer for the season.
Someone to monitor their workouts and help them avoid injury.
And as a kinesiology student, I desperately need the work credits that come with the job.

Danny Armstrong, the clean all-American with a steel jawline and sexy blue gaze.
Lance Overmire, a goofball wide receiver with washboard abs and an “I just thought of a dirty joke” grin.
Fernando Martinez, the dark-and-handsome place kicker from Chile who pronounces my name like it’s an exotic meal.

I’ll be working with them every day for the fall semester.
Watching them lift weights in the morning, monitoring football practice in the afternoon.
And giving them far more specialized physical therapy in the evenings.
Can I be the physical trainer that helps them go to the playoffs?
Or will they end up falling for me along the way?

FULL CONTACT is a scorching, stand-alone reverse harem love story filled with humor, suspense, and excitement. HEA guaranteed!

Sometime's when i start a book, I hesitate solely because of my traumatic PBBS (post bad book syndrome). I won't name any names here, but I just recently finished a college romance that genuinely PISSED me off. I was so upset that I've been on an extended break from any athlete/college romances because of it.

Cassie Cole has restored my icy 'ole little heart. It's still frozen, but it's definitely a healthier shade of purple. One of the reasons i was nervous to start this book is because i wasn't sure how the whole harem thing was going to work out considering they're in college (cause HELLo drama). And your homegirl wasn't feeling too dramatic as of late.

I Know. Tragic right.

This book blew my socks off.
In what way?
Don't rush me i'm getting to that part.

First of all: The overall athletic descriptions and applications.
You like football? Good, because Cole clearly did her home work or grew up in a 'Sundays are for football' house. Anyone else out there who thoroughly enjoys football can also get an appreciation for how the game is described and gone through like a genuine play-by-play. I was also super impressed with all of the descriptions ESPECIALLY Roberta talking about her kinesiology work. Shoot, I felt like i could design my own frickin' workout plan after reading this book, it sounds That Good.

Second: Roberta.
Sassy? Check.
Hot? check.
Determined? check.
Not falling all over herself for the football 'gods'? check.
High heel-less and without a cocktail dress? Check and check.
An actual heroine that i really enjoyed? Absolutely.
Roberta was smart determined and didn't really care about the 'college scene' anymore (which your senior year of college, girl preach i felt that). Now here connection with the three studs? Explosive, cute, funny, romantic and awwwwesome.

Third: Danny, Lance, Fena.
They each had their own personalities; Danny was kinda shy and charming and gah i loved him, Lance was the goofball in shining armor and gah i loved him too, and Fena was the quiet sweet one and gah i loved him as well. GAH I LOVED THEM ALL. I seriously loved how the relationships with each of them built throughout the story, it wasn't just a okay your turn, your turn, now you kinda deal. They each had their friendship with Barbs grow and flow in completely different ways and i think it made things that more real and that much more special for each of the characters.

Finally: The frickin' hilarious banter. I laughed out loud a couple of times at some of the things Lance did. Example:
Me:Everything going well with your hamstring?
Lance: Actually, there is a problem.
Me: Oh? Is it tight again?
Lance: Worse. It's TOTALLY FUCKING SHREDDED.
Lance: My body is too ripped, Babs. Every time I see a mirror I stop to admire myself. It's becoming distracting."

Like, come on. As if i totally wasn't already in love with you Lance, but then you gotta go and be funny too. Man.

I realize now that i went to the wrong University...and missed my fated athlete harem...

Ahhh oh well such as life. At least i got to live it through the imagination and brilliance of Cassie Cole.
Bravo, girlfriend.
Don't be like me and put this book off because of past lousy reads in the genre. This books is a gem that hopefully you will enjoy just as much as i did (considering i finished it in 9 hours HOLLLA).

Side Not: There's even a Bonus Ending. And it's everything that hearts and rainbows and glitter and happiness are made of. Or so I've been told....

Terrific writing!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙🖤💜❤️
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘📔
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍🌎
Character development: 😟🤭☺️🥰😘

The heroine: Roberta - she is in her fifth year at Appleton State University and needs six credits of work experience for her master's degree in kinesiology. She was just turned down for a sports medicine job at the university and isn’t happy about it. She is also a bit of an introvert and was sick of the college party scene that younger college students seemed to love, though she goes to a party with her friend to try to get over the disappointment of losing the job she wanted.

The Heroes: Danny, Lance and Fernando - Danny is the handsome all American, star quarterback and captain for the football team. He has devoted himself to school and the game and rarely has a free minute for anything else. Lance is the wide receiver on the football team and has a reputation of taking a different girl home every night. He thrives on attention. Fernando (a.k.a. Feña), he is from Chili, and is the kicker on the Appleton University football team.

The Story: - Danny and Roberta hit it off at the party and end up hooking up for the night. The next day she is called into the coach’s office thinking she got another chance at the job she wanted but it turns out the coach is a bit of a misogynist and just want to ask her about some pictures she was tagged in with Danny, then offered her a secretarial position even though it wouldn’t help with the work credits she needs to graduate. Danny and his two friends offer her an alternative when they ask her to work with them for her credits.

This is the third reverse-harem from Cassie Cole that I have read in a row. I picked it up since the first two had such great stories and the intimate scenes were super-steamy, yet there weren’t too many of them to overpower the main storyline and put the book into the smut category. Also, with each book of Cassie’s that I have read so far, I have been very impressed by the number of details, it is obvious that she thoroughly researches things before writing about them, in this case it was sports medicine and kinesiology, in a previous book, Snowbound, it was the Whistler mountains and being a ski patrol. All the details add so much to the stories. I will definitely be reading more of her books!

Amazing!

This is the first book I have read from this author so I wasn't sure what to expect but let me tell you she blew me away with her writing! This book had it all and was on so good! The ending threw me a bit but it still turned out great! The storyline was fantastic and characters were flawless in my eyes! The research and knowledge that was put into writing this made this book what it was. Not sure about you but I hate reading a book where the author likes to think she knows what she writing about but you can tell it wasn't that on point. Well this book was not like that and I actually learned a lot of interesting things while reading this! Ugh I fell in love with these guys so hard I'm sad it's came to an end. I literally couldn't put this book down and didn't want to either! So so Amazing!

Read other books by this author in the future: yes

Full Contact is a reverse harem college romance. Main topic is Football, as the harem guys are football players and the FMC who wants to become a physical trainer and needs some credits or her major. There is really much talk about Football and physical therapy, how the ballers should eat and how to treat their muscular problems. The book felt sometimes really long. But it was an okay read and entertained me enough to finish this book.

2.5 stars and I might have round up but no condoms were used in this book, not even when she thought it was just a one night stand, which is an automatic deduction for me.

This was just not exactly what I wanted from this book. I never felt like I got to know the characters and even though this book is 400 pages long, I never felt like the relationship developed and then all the sudden they loved each other. I couldn't really tell you anything about the characters because it didn't seem like they had much personality. I thought the ending was just really unbelievable and a bit out of left field. There was just too much crammed in at the very end and it just seemed a little ridiculous. I also thought the sex scenes were completely meaningless. I'm fine with some sex scenes that are just fun in romances but none of those scenes advanced the relationships at all. And some of the writing during the sex scenes really made me cringe. There was also just some stuff written about race that I didn't love.

I just wanted to feel like the relationship was actually developing with all three of the guys but I really never felt that connection or got to know the characters. This was a quick read but I ended up feeling unsatisfied with the story.

I started reading this on a whim with literally NO CLUE what this was about other than the fact that it’s a RH sports romance. My friend said she was reading it, I was in between books and was looking for something light so I said cool let’s read it together.

Boy oh boy I’m not even gonna lie the first few chapters I was cringed out a bit because things start so freaking fast and it just felt like sensory overload. Somehow though the author managed to steady out the pace of the book and I really got to know our characters a bit.

All 3 of the boys definitely were different in their own way and they all complimented the relationship they had with Roberta. I loved every minute of it RH is my favorite type of romance and not everyone can nail that.

I will say though the story was more plot based which I enjoyed. It was also pretty hilarious so it’s definitely a romcom in my book & there was DEFINITELY steam. While I enjoy dark & emotional books this one was exactly what I was looking for. While I can appreciate authors who will use 50+ words to describe how deep ones love is I can also appreciate authors who do not.

I’m a reader who rates books based on how they make me feel and not how well an author can write a sonnet professing undying love. If the book does the job that I needed it to do then I’m content, this book did exactly that.

I’m so glad I found this author all she writes are RH, I’m in heaven!

I’ll be honest lads, I liked that very, very much. I’ve never read a *bad* Cassie Cole book, but this one really blew the others out the water. I was charmed by the entire cast and had a smile on the face the whole time. Especially whenever Lance was around. Oh my goodness, what a bloody goofy, golden retriever, himbo of a man, I really loved him with all my heart and wish we saw more leading men like him.

I’d say my only real complaint about this was our main protagonist Roberta. Don’t get me wrong, I really liked her and how much passion she had for what she loved. My issue came with the fact that she was a bit of an NLOG (not-like-other-girls). There was quite a bit of internalised misogyny in this one. Other women aren’t bitches just because they like to dress up and sleep with the same men you also want to sleep with. It didn’t help how much the other characters enabled her to be that way, saying how much they liked her because she wasn’t like the rest of the girls.

Despite that, I still enjoyed this book very much and am incredibly pleased that I decided to pick it up.

I loved that the book included so many sections of terminology showing Roberta's knowledge of kinesiology and sports (mostly football). Roberta's relationships with Danny, Lance, and Fena grew over time, showing the special connection she had for each of them. Such a fun read with just the right amount of Steaminess.

Roberta is a kinesiology student. She needs 6 credit hours of practice for her master's degree, but she can't find a job opening anywhere near her. However, when her one-night stand offers to help her by becoming her client, Roberta accepts. And when his two housemates become her clients too, Roberta is in for a lot of work as the three of them are the leading stars of her college football team.

I really enjoyed reading this story, however, I need to say that I was left disappointed with the ending, so for me this is more of a 3.5 star review.

I get it, the author did their research. Jeez it was like getting beat over the head with details. I do not need a literal pay by play of the workouts, training sessions, football games, classes etc. It took me out of the story waisted words. 🙄🙄🙄. Hated it

A bit heavy on the ‘she’s not like other girls’ trope, and generally speaking not as good as Cassie Cole’s newer books, but still a very solid read. It has a nice balance of romance and actual plot, complete with realistic setbacks that matter. Also a whole lot of American football talk that went right over my head, as someone who is not from the USA or a sports fan. Still, I can appreciate expert rambling, even if it’s not about something I understand or care about. If someone as far removed from American college football culture can appreciate this story, I’m sure someone that understands it will love the book.

Probably the bit that bothered me the most was the handling of Fernando, but I’m actually willing to give Cole a pass on it because the book is ‘old’ and it’s not the worst handling of a Hispanic character I’ve read. The taco comment was unnecessary, even if the narration acknowledges it was racist. Other bits ended up being funny because the characters themselves talk about how people in the US know more about the cultural differences from European countries than South American ones, yet the author uses expressions such as “his Chilean expression” and “handsome Chilean face” which prove she is also guilty of the same cultural… let’s call it naiveté.

On a more personal note, I was disappointed Feña never commented on the American use of “Football”, especially when his background came up. If he had been born in the US, or been there since early childhood, I would have been okay with it. But he had enough of a background as a ‘soccer’ (how I hate that word) player back in Chile that it became part of the plot, but the cultural difference is never touched upon. But like all his descriptors having ‘Chilean’ added in, it’s just another way to remark this was written by someone with little to no experience with the culture of the character she is writing about.

Narration was fine… except for the fact Bordeaux cannot pronounce Feña at all. I had to get the ebook to figure out wtf she was calling him, since she pronounces it ‘Fenya’. I don’t expect narrators to be bilingual, and was even happy to give her very Anglo pronunciation of ‘Chile’ a pass. But goddamn, given all the times she has to pronounce it, you’d think she or Cole would have consulted anyone on the pronunciation of a main characters’ name.

Still had fun with the book and would rec it to anyone that wants a lot of sports talk mixed in with romance, though.

DNF at 68%. Ugh! I had such high hopes for this book! I don’t DNF books. I’m 39 and only did that to 1 book before this one, and I’ve been reading since I was 14. Here is my issue with this one.
The author spent way too much time going into detail on their training sessions, parts of the body, and nutrition when it needed to have more interaction between the characters than just that. I needed more connection and the in-depth stuff with what I mentioned had my mind wandering and wishing I could skip it, but I can’t skip or skim. I just couldn’t do it anymore. I’ve read plenty of sports romances with trainers and coaches to know that all those in-depth details don’t make the book. And that seemed to be what this book was full of. The time the characters spent together was always doing training or studying and it was school and training they were talking about. I NEEDED MORE! So much more! It was just too much and too boring to force myself to keep going. I had pushed myself to read that far. I HATE not finishing a book, but this one I just couldn’t get past. Sorry. It took days to get to where I did, and I even stopped to read and finish another book. Tried again. It just wasn’t for me. When you have a RH you really have to focus on the relationship building since there are so many characters. So, I’m sad to say this was a huge letdown and I don’t know if I want to chance her other books now since this was my 1st one. Not saying I won’t pick up another one, but this didn’t set a good example 😩😭

3.75-4⭐️’s - i loved this different take on a typically standard trope. Especially given the author gave a lot of background and inner thoughts behind each characters and made them all very distinguishable. I like how they all banded together (even before the h entered) to support and be there for each other.

Granted, the plot, in an overall perspective (at 10,000 ft, so to speak) was VERY stereotypical, there didn’t seem to be the average storyline behind it. It was a lighter read for me, emotionally speaking, in comparison to some of the other books I get into, but it still had a good emotional tug when times got tough and at that point I was emotionally invested in the characters and their relationships at that point.

It’s a delicate balance between TMI, psychosis, emotional baggage slinging, complacency, aloofness and being your own person when depicting a character that this author did flawlessly. Everything between the characters felt organic and had me invested as reader. Well done!!

I was pleasantly surprised with this book and I’m happy I read it!

First book I read by this author, and I have to start stating that I’m not an American football fan. In the beginning, I skimmed over some of the practice scenes and the ones she was talking too extensively about kinesiology because they didn’t interest me.

I couldn’t put the book down, though. When we got to the game against San Antonio, I was ready to become an NFL fan. Holy crap the tension!

One of the things I loved the most was that the guys were all cinnamon rolls, contrary to most RH I’ve read so far. I only wish we could’ve seen more of Feña though.

Speaking of him… I couldn’t get over the whole “I didn’t learn much of European history in Chile” thing. Because… for real 😅

Other than that, there were very few things that bothered me in this book. I’m ready to read more from the author!

Roberta meets a hot, sweet guy at a party and let's just say the sparks fly that night. But, she's got a lot on her mind, like her major - kinesiology, and worrying about getting all the requirements in for her Master's, which she needs a job to complete, and her future. Which, isn't a problem because Danny too has to worry about other things than a relationship - like football.

Then she meets Lance, one of Danny's teammates and roommate. And oh God, he's a big goofy sweetheart who's just as sexy as Danny. And let's not forget their other teammate, Feña, another sweetheart with an accent (and a body) to die for. When these three sweet guys find out she loses out on a job with the athletics department, they figure out a way to help her fulfill her requirements, by becoming their personal trainer. Voila!

But, can Roberta and the guys keep everything on a professional level? Of course not...

Reverse harems can be really iffy. Usually I've found they're little more than smut, but I happily discovered that not to be the case here. Full Contact has an actual story, a pretty great one at that, and all 4 characters are fully realized and stand out individually. And when they get together?! WHEW! So if you like reverse harems, or even just college sports romances, I highly recommend you 1-click this one today.

More than a college romance

There is more to this book than it being a college sports romance. Because it is. It’s not only about 3 guys competing for the job/sporting spot of their careers but about the woman who is striving for that too. But it being so much harder on her to do in male dominated industry.

She finds not only 1 guy to help her gain her dream but 3. The ensuing love story is truly amazing to read. The build up and growth of their individual relationships is really well written. Enjoyed every moment

Not bad, but was short of a goal

Well written, entertaining, thoroughly researched, spicy, and minor drama…but I felt it was lacking.

We start off with Roberta, affectionately Babs, who is a kinesiology major - wanting to work with athletes. Due to college politics and minor sexism from the coach, she is denied the position needed to complete her required credits on time for her degree. Insert three football players: Danny, Lance and Fenya who agree to let her train and monitor them in private. Obviously being so close gets a little physical and steamy between our girl Babs and the three men she is looking out for.

My issues with the book, and might not bother others, but I found kind of dragged for me and I felt bored on and off. There was a lot of explaining not only Babs’ degree in question, but while that was broken down to easily understand, some of the medical jargon was not. Being a previous hospital worker myself, I was able to pick up on, but I feel some might skip over those parts for lack of need of them. Secondly was the football stuff, I’ve read plenty of sports romances, and they do a nice job of mentioning some thing, explaining others, but it’s always as a background to the relationship at the forefront. With this book, I felt I learned more about football, and got to brush up on medical I haven’t used in a while more than any smut scenes. Which for myself, was kind of disappointing. If I wanted to learn about those things, I’d learn them, I grab books like this for mild new things, lots of drama/relations and the sex.

Again, the book was very well written, minor errors if any, and even in a genre I generally like…I forced myself to finish and didn’t generally regret, but I definitely won’t read anything else by this author. Only a quarter of the book contained anything physically between characters, close to half was relations between all characters mentioned in the book, the other half was split between her training them and then football itself. Also, don’t hate that those were included, just wish they weren’t as forefront. I would have liked to see more drama between the rival teams, more in your face stuff between Nicky and the guys. Hell, even delving more into Lance, Danny and Fenya’s lives and background. The only thing I learned about them, was that Danny and Lance are only children, Lance’s grandmothers name, that Fenya is from Chile and might have sisters, and who Roberta’s best friend and roommate is. I know Brett is useless, Nicky is a douche and the coach could use a slap from a strong woman. Majority of this all learned within the first few chapters….I guess I barely connected with the characters and felt more connected to the scores from their games….

Overall? 3
Spice? 2
Plot? 2.5
Triggers? Mild - general mention of date rape drug given, and suggested “bad” time, honestly sounded more written like a man….but just in case that might bother you, it’s danced around and no real technical wording is used to describe event.

Feña nodded past me. “We are being hunted.”

I glanced over my shoulder. A cluster of sorority girls in matching tight leather pants had come outside and were lingering a safe distance away, carefully pretending not to be staring at us. One of them made eye contact with me, and grinned widely. I turned back around. “We need to stand closer together. Like a pack of zebras on the nature channel. Harder to pick us off that way.”

“Our numbers aren’t strong enough,” Danny said behind his beer cup.

This story managed to keep my interest despite the fact that I’ve been DNF-ing a lot of books lately. Whilst it was a mostly enjoyable read, I did have a few issues.

The author didn’t show the same care when it came to breaking down male and female gender stereotypes. She uses her MMCs to fight against toxic masculinity, but then turns around and depicts every girl who isn’t Roberta as a sorority girl stereotype.

I‘m left to assume that either a) STDs don’t exist in this fictional world, b) unplanned pregnancies are impossible in this fictional world, or c) the main characters are irresponsible when it comes to safe-sex. This is because there is zero mention of condoms, birth control, or testing throughout the book. There’s not even an off-hand comment that they discussed safe-sex off page like, “the guys were relieved to find out I was on birth control after we forgot a condom last week.” There are open-door sex scenes that have them going straight from foreplay to penetration, which excludes the possibility that the author chose to skip over describing them putting a condom on because there wasn’t any time for them to do so.

There were at least three grammatical errors, such as: incorrect verb form, use of an unnecessary word, and incorrect word order

“He took my hand in his, and all the while his gaze remained focus on me.”

“I would have been if I had not have retreated to the library to avoid Roberta.”

“It changed the entire complexion of the game and kept St. Edwards it in the entire time.”
