I have four boyfriends. Four official boyfriends. Go me.

I may be a bit of a chicken when it comes to emotional stuff, but I finally laid it all on the line and told my men what I wanted. That I wanted them.

Now that things are going so well in my personal life, I'm hoping to spend the semester at Griffin Academy enjoying my last bit of time with the guys before they graduate.

So... why the hell does the universe always seem to have different plans for me?

Threat is the fourth book in the Academy of Unpredictable Magic series, a medium-burn reverse harem story intended for ages 18+, featuring a badass chick and the four sexy men who fall in love with her.

This was another great book in this series. Elliot and her guys head back to school and they get comfortable when nothing out of the ordinary happens... but that obviously doesn't last. Random stones are showing up and the other magical groups think that the unpredictables are making mass weapons. It's the unpredictables against everyone else. I enjoyed this book because it was a little bit more laid back. Yes some action happens but I feel like we got to know our characters a lot better. We finally learn what Roman's secret is... and it's a doozy. I liked seeing all the relationships grow.. not just with Elliot but between the guys too.

Book: Academy of unpredictable Magic Book 4 Threat
Author: Sadie Moss
Recommend: Yes
Spice: 🌶️ 🌶️
Age recommendation: 16-30+ Years

Plot:
Elliot continues on her relationship with the boys, but finds more things in the way. This time its some strange towers being made out of rocks that turns up on the grounds. They notice it when they are out for a run, The teachers rally some students and try to destroy the towers but it doesn’t work. With how close Elliot is becoming with Roman, Roman thinks its time for them to be open with the school about their relationship. So they tell the dean and everyone else slowly sees it to. Elliots after turns up to the school to investigate the towers after social media claimed that they were building towers to destroy the magic community. She hasn’t seen him for 13 years. The boys all come up to her when he is leaving and tell him off for his terrible father skills. In the end they end up going into a battle with witches and demons that come out of the towers to attack them all after the school is evacuated, Roman uses his third magical ability to kill someone who is attacking Elliot. The book finishes with Roman and Elliot saying I love you and Dmitri being told he has to get married to the girl that summer.

My feelings:

“Reckless.” Roman pulls away, just enough that our lips still brush as he speaks, his voice low and smooth. “I love you too. So very much.” I couldn’t stop my smile if I tried.

I didnt love this book as much as the others, but I did still really enjoy it. I loved how Roman secret finally came out, and that Elliot finally told one of them she loved them! I mean it was clear form book 2 but im glad it was finally said. I wanna see more of there dad, and more of that crazy Bully in the next book. I feel like she has something up her sleeve.
I also cannot wait to see if Dmitri gets married or not! I hope not!
“I have three powers, just like you,” he continues. “Necromancy is the first one. That’s how I can talk to the dead. The second is demon summoning.” “Like you did against Raul.” “Yes.” Roman hesitates for a beat, then looks me dead in the eye. “The third power is the death touch. I can touch someone—and they just die. I drain their life force.” I nod. “But you can control it.” “Now I can. When I was a child… I couldn’t.”

Again, another good mystery story within the overarching plot. It was nice to see more of Roman's powers and also having him open up a bit more. I've decided that Demitri is definitely my favourite. Eliot was again totally kickass and I really enjoyed the fight scenes. Can't wait to find out who the idiot behind all these attacks is.

I love the easy flow and clean writing of this author's work, and have really enjoyed this new adult reverse harem (RH) series that is set in a magical academy. "Threat" is book four (they must be read in order) and it had a little less action-packed story than some of the others, but I liked (and was infuriated by!) the continuing plot thread of the prejudice against Unpredictable magic in their society and the ominous vibe of the circumstance providing this book's title. The RH romance continues to provide steamy heat that is appropriate to the context of the book instead of taking over, and I like the various family components for each of the characters and how different they are. As usual, I'm looking forward to the next book, and more of my faves Roman and Dmitri!

Tension, Romance, Steam & Fighting Prejudice!!💘🔥🚫 4.5 Stars 🌟
(Read using Kindle Unlimited)

An unmissable read as this books journey, for the characters & the storyline, is huge!👍 The romance between Elle & her 4 men solidifies & wow does the steam rise too.🔥😍🔥 This is a massive step for the group & it's putting a lot on the line for a couple of them, more than just their hearts!!😳 The prejudice towards 'Unpredictables' is being shown more openly, often with hatred & ridiculous lies.😔😢 There's a huge shock in store for Elle during an oversight visit when the School is accused is terrorism!😱😡🙈

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The tension simmers throughout but ratchets up in places, especially near the end! I loved how the relationships all grew, that includes the new friendships.💘👍 The 'big bad' who's hidden is driving me nuts, every time I think I know who it is I'm proved wrong!🙈 Roll on Book #5 🌟

Threat by Sadie Moss is a medium-burn paranormal academy reverse harem romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Sarah Puckett. This is the fourth book in the Academy of Unpredictable Magic series.

This is the third series of Sadie's that I have read and it definitely won't be my last. She does an amazing job pulling me into the story. I can't help but binge them in one sitting. I really enjoy that each book has new challenge they have to get through during their school year.

I am loving the relationship between Elliot, Cam, Asher, Roman, and Dimitri. They are each strong and independent characters. But, they all have doubts and need the support of the family they are building.

The book ends on a great cliffhanger. I can't wait to dive into the next book in the series Hunt so I can get more of Elliot and her men's story.

Sarah did an amazing job on the narration! I love that she uses different voices/tones for each character. She really knows how to bring a story to life.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves paranormal romances, academy romances, or reverse harems.

Wow this series loves to keep you on your toes. It has a good mix of ups and downs and as much as you know something bad is bound to happen it’s not always how you expect. That cliff hanger at the end though.. it has me all kinds of worked up. I can’t wait to finish the series and see how it all will end.

Still loving this series.

I’m still really enjoying this series, but this one didn’t have quite the same punch as the previous three. I’m really liking some of the relationship things that happen during the course of this story, but would have liked more depth or interaction to Elliot and her dad, but maybe that’s coming in one of the later books? And this is the first one where I really felt the cliffhanger ending and can’t wait now to start the next one.

Great!

I really liked this one, but it’s kinda weird, cause not much happens. But it has this ominous vibe, that really captures the interest. It has a nice build, and you get to know the guys even better. And the steaminess, it’s hot!!

Holy crap!

I did not see that one coming! It just makes me need book 5 to be released asap! I love the storylines that have progressed throughout each book in this series and they just keep getting better and better. It a huge lead up to the big series ending and I can't wait to see what happens. I feel like I've been entranced by these books since the very beginning. I want to know what happens but I also don't want them to end either. It's such a struggle. Haha! All in all this has been one of the best series' I've ever read. So very well written and definitely worth more than 5 stars.

Things are getting tense for the unpredictables with having to deal with bigotry outside of the school for having powers they had no choice over.

Inside the school, the threat that has been working away since Elliott's first year is finally being acknowledged by The Circuit and ramps up in a big way. I'm still convinced her dad is part of it but that's not a spoiler because there isn't any proof of who is behind it all yet!

As always, the writing is great with plenty of twists and turns on the way.

What happens next???

I loved loved loved this story!!!! Elliot and her guys are some of my most favorite characters. I'm glad that we got a little more of a certain man opening up (cough cough Roman cough). The only thing I didn't like about this book was that it came to end so soon. Also the cliffhanger left me counting down the days till the next one comes out. I need to know what happens with Dmitri ASAP.

This one begins with Elliot happy with her choice, she believes things are working out even if her guys are about to graduate. However, when some people come to the school to try to say Unpredictables are dangerous and shouldn't be around, things get more complicated.

I enjoyed this one a lot, but I still think Dmitri is a coward and the end of this one totally proved that. I hope I don't end up hating him in the next book.

So no new answers just yet but the relationships have gotten stronger and it is a huge relief Ellie's finally made up her mind. Its the guys last year so the next book will be interesting. It feels like the calm before the storm with a not so subtle attack this time around and the fear/hatred for the unpredictables is growing. Some good sex scenes and fluffy moments.

It's not a typical series

There was almost a semester where life was normal for Elliott and her men. Besides the social issues going on anyways. What I don't get out of this series is why Unpredictables are so discriminated against. Usually in stories the strongest are in power but not so in this world. It's an interesting idea anyways.

Witches/RH MMM/Academy

SYNOPSIS (of all 6 Books): This series is set in a world where there are witches but the humans do not know about them. The FC (Elliott) has been supporting her younger sister since their mother died and their father deserted them. She discovers that she has “unpredictable magic” which means she must go to an academy to learn how to control it. In the magic world unpredictable magic is looked down on as some kind of abomination and those with it are treated as lesser. Whilst each Book has its own specific sub-story the main story arc covers all 5 books and relates to an attack on predicable magic and those that practice it. There are obligatory mean girls and ultimately a HEA.

The books are well written and the editing is not bad although there are a few errors but not enough to really impact the readers enjoyment. For me, however, I found the story to be lacking in originality - FC who thought she had no magic but does, turns out to be an amazing witch and saves the world while having an adoring harem that follows her around like puppies. I could live with that as very few of this kind of book are original if the series was well written or had depth. I found this series to be lacking both.

Each book (until Book 5 with the climax) seems to follow the same pattern. There is some kind of mystery, the FC is the only one who can solve it and save the day and she does. This is despite the fact that there are stronger witches around. Apparently the FC is the only one clever enough and strong enough to be the hero. This is despite the fact that the FC’s powers are not particularly strong (until the end) or that she knows how to use them. The MCs are more for window dressing that actual action.

There are the required mean girls but the story line for them makes little sense. Why they suddenly decide to pick on Elliott is lame to begin with but why they then, despite Elliott having nothing to do with them, continue to harass her makes no sense. It’s as if the author decided that this element was required to add drama but it doesn’t’ as it has no real context or rationale to it.

There are disjoints in the story, like the mean girls, where things are introduced seemingly just to add drama but again, with no real context and are then dropped. By example, the FC’s father ran out on them when she was young. He suddenly pops up in Book 4. The FC, who is supposed to be strong and kick ass says nothing about his prior behaviour or anything. She just sucks it up, hugs him and says nothing. That goes completely against her character. Other than this meeting there is only one other very brief meeting with the FC’ father. He plays no real role and it makes you question why he was even introduced into the story. There’s no explanation as to why he ran out on his family or what he has been doing or anything. Another drama tactic was the whole engagement/wedding storyline which seems to have been introduced just to provide a cliffhanger. It comes out of nowhere and then just disappears. Again, not integral to the story just a mechanism to try and introduce drama.

The background for Roman makes little sense as well except as a lame attempt to show Roman as “damaged” and “angsty”. Whilst you can understand an accident where one of his family die it is hard to construct a situation where they all stand around and wait for him to touch them and drain them. The author doesn’t bother to explain how this is supposed to have happened or why Roman was not locked up as a consequence.

There’s a decent amount of heat in the sex scenes and they are not too plentiful. The main problem for me was the lack of world and character building and the superficiality of the plot. It could have been better.

Unpredictable Awesomeness Continues! Fantastic Narration🎧📚🎧

Threat
Academy of Unpredictable Magic, Book 4
By: Sadie Moss
Narrated by: Sarah Puckett

I am loving this “Academy of Unpredictable Magic” series, each book is just as amazing as the next. Sadie Moss is a gift author and I love the fascinating and imaginative characters and world she created, a world where magic is real as are those who possess it. Tremendous world building and character growth as we get further into the series the more you learn, the more the characters are learning and not just in education either in real life experience. Elliot is getting more comfortable with her boys/men, Dmitri, Cam, Asher and Roman as they are with her. It is the start of a new semester, the boys last year. There is still turmoil in the magical community, while some are supportive of those with unpredictable magic there seems to be more against them. Things are quiet and as should be at the Academy, but Elliot and Cam stumble upon something odd while running in the woods, after reporting it to the Dean they find out something is amiss. Once again there is someone or something out to ruin the Griffin Academy and when the threat to the students looks imminent the students are told to leave, but Elliot has other plans and her boys have her back. This book is cleverly plotted and there is never a dull moment, there is plenty of drama, action, angst, mystery, thrilling and suspenseful moments and some hot romance. Thank you for anther amazing story, I am looking forward to what comes next is this awesome series.

I listened to the Audible edition, Sarah Puckett is a fantastic narrator and voice artist. She continues to bring the characters to life, humanizing them giving them their personality, their emotions which is reflected into her performance. Her portrayal of the characters is spot on, they sound as I picture them to sound, she does great with both the female and male voices, giving each their own distinct sound so it is easy to follow them. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧

I love this series so much, I don't want it to end!! In this installment of the Academy of Unpredictable, we get to see Elliott come face to face with someone she hasn't seen in a very long time, Elliott officially take on 4 boyfriends (yayyyyyy it took long enough 😂😂😂), and the group face one fo the toughest battles yet. This story really brought the bad guy closer to his reveal and really set the stage for the future confrontation People are turning on unpredictables, just because they are different. Dimitri has some family issues that make you want to punch his mother and father in the face haha. I loved that Sadie kept up the steam and made Elliott and all her men grow closer to one another. It broke my heart to learn some things about Roman (duuuude he is insanely powerful and I can't wait to see what Sadie does with that). Ok, that's all I will say about the story! It wasn't my favorite out of the 4 books at this point, but a 4.5/5 stars isn't bad ❤️❤️❤️

Narration is stellar as always. I think the reveal with Roman and Elliott was the best depiction Sarah has done so far in this series. That and how the men stood up for Elliott with her stranger who isn't a stranger. That made me smile with pride (yes, I know these are fictional characters but I am totally invested!!). Fantastic job, nothing bad to say about Sarah's rendition of Threat!!

Go get this series, you won't be disappointed. Its an incredible story, but the audiobook series is one of my favorites of all time!

Audiobook Review:

I feel like not only does this series just keep getting better and more intense with each new book, but the endings keep throwing me for more of a loop.

This time we had Elliot returning to school after the demon interaction. Things are still tense because they don’t know who the big bad is only that there’s one main person behind everything that’s been happening. And three of her men are starting their last semester of school which means they won’t be with her nearly as much after they graduate while she still has a full year to go. But that ended up being the least of their problems when even more strange things started happening. The threat of the school closing seems even more likely. And a blast from Elliot’s pasts makes a reappearance. The relationship aspect of this series between Elliot and her men grew a little with a reveal of a huge secret from one member of the group. It was pretty crazy to be honest, but in a great way. There weren’t any boring moments or anything I felt was just a filler scene. Everything flowed well and just felt like it had a good pace.

I was once again really pleased with Sarah Puckett’s performance. She really feels like such a good choice for Elliot and has excellent tones for the men and the secondary characters as well.

I cannot wait for the next book and hope the issue that this book ended with is resolved quickly in the next one.

Alright. So, I was hoping this series would slowly improve over time and more books. Unfortunately, I feel like this book was a downfall in my opinion after the last book.

First, this book had a very slow start just like the other books so far in the series. Which in my opinion the reader has had enough of introductory stuff. When your four books in the series you should be jumping straight to the point and action scenes. Not telling me a background of what I’ve previously read in all the books.

Second, the whole stone idea was kind of dumb. I wanted to see more action and intrigue. I was not very interested with stones that appear on a tower. Then, the stones do absolutely nothing until the end of the book and it was just towers the guy was using to spread the attack out.

Thirdly, you find out about Romans powers but I feel like it wasn’t even that big of a secret. As a good reader your job is to read between the lines. I just feel like it didn’t really add anything to the ending and so far the endings have been the best part of the whole series.

I feel like there were so many improvements that could have been made in this book to make it better as a whole. Also, i saw a good number of grammar mistakes. I feel like it might be getting worse with editing too. I can only give this a 3.1

This novel actually had some real conversations between the characters. So some improvement on the romantic and character development. Still a lot of graphic sex that is completely gratuitous, doing nothing to advance the plot. The time spent on those scenes would have been better spent developing the mystery of the towers. It's unthinkable to me that Elliot hasn't mentioned that she's actually SEEN the face of the ultimate villain. She could be looking at photos to determine who he might be. But no, this is not a crime drama, and so no real effort is made to develop that part of the storyline. It's like someone says, "oops, we're all in danger" but then everyone just sits and stares at each other until Elliot is the only one who stands up to do anything. she might make jokes about being the center of drama every semester, but she hasn't developed any logical approach to investigating these things. you'd think she would have figured out some protocol, but no. And why didn't she use her spiderman talent to walk up the tower as opposed to climbing the spiral stairs? seems like a no brainer to me. all in all, i'm giving this novel 3 stars instead of 2 because of the improvement in the depth of the relationships and a compelling ending.

Mixed emotions on this one. I am reading these books consecutively, so everything from the prior books is fresh in my mind.

The good:
- Continued relationship building between Elliot and the guys
- Learning more about Dmitri and Roman
- The romantic interactions / spice is decent

The challenge:
- Some of the recap of prior books, while there’s not a lot, still feels repetitive and could be woven into the story better
- The primary concern that arises during this book is not very interesting, and there’s a lot of build up without much consequence. When something finally happens, it seems like it’s over way too quickly. The learning that comes out about one of the characters as a result is really important and the only part of it that was good.
- There is an interaction with Elliot and a family member that just seems awkward. I assume it’s foreshadowing to something later, but as a result, it just feels awkward and out of place in this book (rather than feeling mysterious or intriguing or even ominous).

I have enjoyed this series enough so far, but this is the first one that has ended and I haven’t been excited to jump right into the next book. Thus, 2 ⭐️.

this one did an INCREDIBLE job at building multiple of these relationships in such a healthy and beautiful way. like i was genuinely moved during some of these scenes where certain characters grew and improved and let themselves be vulnerable and became very emotionally available. it was so wonderful and satisfying to see that all go down. it was done SO FUCKING WELL.

oh my goddd. roman’s past. i TOTALLY called it!!! but it was still so compelling and heartbreaking to learn about!!

the action at the end was a little bit flat in this one but it’s also very clear that this one is more so setting up the bigger sequences in the next 2 books and acting more as a transition, so it works and feels fine. it’s clearly intentional and is leading us somewhere

i am SO anxious to know who this mastermind guy is!!! my guess is likely not it anymore, but it’s still possible and i am so excited to know regardless!!! onto book 5!!

This book had it all! I was so proud of Elliot to stand up for herself and for her guys to stand up with her; not matter how much it put them out there. But there is heartbreak in this book, too. Ms. Moss takes you from one great high to one great low. I enjoy her writing style and her ability to slowly build each of the unique characters and keep the reader riveted.

I cannot say enough about Ms. Puckett. Her consistency with characters is spot-on. Her ability to convey emotion, action, and setting are amazing. Ms. Puckett’s narration has quickly become one of the draws for me to new authors, series, and books. I never thought that I would recognize a narrator as much as I do a beloved author, but Ms. Puckett has quickly managed that in my book.

I was provided with a free copy of this audio book for my honest review. The views expressed here are entirely my own.

Just wow!

So many surprises in this one! I don't like to give spoilers away, but I knew at some point that one character would show up. The way that was handled was great! I'm curious to see if there will be more with that person later on. As far as the main threat, as before, I had no idea how it was going to play out until the action began. I love how unpredictable this story is. Big reveals for a couple characters at the end of the book are both satisfying and have me on the edge of my seat at the same time. It's a good thing this series is complete, because this tiny cliffhanger has me ready to start the next book right away. On the the second to last book I go!

5 stars for Threat by Sadie Moss. This is book 4 in the Academy of Unpredictable Magic Series. This picks up right after book 3 ended. “This isn’t just about me. All Unpredictables are under attack.” Elliot is in the forefront of this book. She is learning how to use and control her powers. For me this book felt different than the rest. It is about more than just Elliot. It is about fighting for yourself along with others. Fighting for who you are and what you believe in. “That’s exactly what this feels like-comedy that turned into a scary movie.” I feel like if I say something it could spoil something, so I am going to leave it at that. Now I am starting book 5 .
