Reread...just as good as the first time~!~
This is really a good menage/mmf story!
First review
Josh, young, gorgeous and sweet and Nick, dark, domineering and somewhat a man of mystery, are celebrating their 10th anniversary at a posh resort in Marbella…… photo download_zpsdc4f7f98.jpg
“Here’s to us.” Nick clinked his glass against mine and gave a seductive smile, one that promised a night of sex hotter than the Costa del Sol’s midday sun. “To us,” I said, tapping the rim of my champagne flute against his, “and surviving against the odds.” photo images_zps66e74af5.jpg“Ten years since tying the knot,” Nick said, knocking back a slug of champagne. “And man, it’s been pretty up and down.”

And then Nick brings up a subject that will changes things in their relationship forever.

“Do you still think of Her?” he asked suddenly. His dark gaze captured mine, and his expression fell serious.
“Her?” I knew full well who he was talking about. Her, She, was fictitious, and stemmed from a drunken conversation we’d had several years ago.

“I’m sorry, Josh.” He covered my hand with his. “I shouldn't have brought it up.”
“No, it’s fine.” He rubbed his thumb over my knuckles and stared, unblinking at his caressing movements. “Seriously, forget it.” I sucked in a deep breath. I couldn't ignore the question, not now he’d asked it.

Because the truth was I did still think of Her. In quiet moments She was conspicuous by her absence. I’d suspected I was gay in my mid-teens, but it wasn't until I’d met Nick and fallen for him that I’d handed my body over to another person— Nick was still my one and only lover.
“You know you’re the most important thing in the world to me, Nick, the pivotal focus of my every waking moment,” I said and then paused, my tongue stalling with words that might hurt. “But yes, I do sometimes still think of being with a woman.” Nick pulled his eyebrows low and studied my face. “It’s different for you,” I went on. “You had Cheryl before we met, Cheryl and others. For me there has only ever been you.”

Gnawing on his bottom lip, Nick shook his head. “The past is the past, but because of circumstances and our age difference, I would hate to stop you experiencing something you feel you should—“

Do you know the dangerous path you are taking Nick?????........

“No, it’s not like that, it’s not because I feel I should, it’s just…” I struggled to put my feelings
“Besides, you keep me more than satisfied, in every department.” “I’m glad to hear it,” he said, draining the last of his champagne and giving me the lopsided grin I adored, the one that dimpled his left cheek, right in the center and made him look so damn sexy.

“But just so we’re clear, and I’ve said this before, we may be committed to one another, but if the opportunity arises for you to lose your virginity in the conventional sense, then you have my blessing. It might be tomorrow, it might be years from now, but I’m there for you when it does, one hundred percent.”

Okay, I get that the two have a fabulous and strong marriage but wow, is Nick being kind and understanding and really believes that nothing is going to change in their marriage? He’s taking a HUGE leap of faith here, I thought.
“Thank you, but the chance of Her existing are pretty remote.”

Not that remote, Josh!!!!!!! Destiny, fate…call it what you want….has a way of making an appearance here!!!!!

“She could be in Marbella right now, you never know, Josh.”

And, Nick, you are SO RIGHT!!! SHE is in Marbella, right now. And SHE is going to “blow” into your and Josh’s lives …hopefully in a good way!!!!
SHE….is Laura, photo 16611026-attractive-young-woman-taking-pictures-on-the-beach_zpsc991f9f8.jpg a fun, strong-willed and hard-working photographer, going thru a bit of a “lean” time, is trying to earn some money from the photographs she’s taking in Marbella. She’s has a history of “bum” relationships but when she “locks” eyes with the beautiful Adonis walking up to her on the beach, she’s a goner!!!![image error] Too bad he’s sporting a wedding ring!!! Seems all the gorgeous ones are taken and not by her!!!!!

But hey, as the saying goes….fate has something for her and Josh and Nick….
So, she’s not going to say no to join Josh and his husband to dinner that night…and the offer to spend a night with Josh ….even though it means just one night.

“But all was not as it seemed, and when Josh needed a woman to sort out a ‘delicate predicament’ I was the one for the job – heck, what did I have to lose? Certainly not as much as him, literally.”

But things in life often don’t work out as we planned.
photo images22_zpsbc3fbe31.jpg So totally understandable that the night would be unforgettable for both. I so loved the gentle and caring way that Laura handled Josh’s first time with a woman…totally remarkable.

Emotions have a way of creeping in. Memories flood your head, you feel torn between people you love and want, you long for something, for someone…..growing larger day by day that soon you are consumed by something you can no longer control.

The chemistry and the conflict between the three were written really well. Nick’s distrust, insecurities, jealousy and even the hatred he felt towards Laura was totally believable. Josh was such an endearing character that I wanted him as my friend. Laura’s feeling of being the so called “intruder” in a happy marriage and how she dealt with the situation was truly amazing. She showed great sensitivity, courage, open-heartness and understanding and I felt she brought something special into their relationship.

And the amazing, sizzling, hot and inventive sexy scenes – MM, MF, MMF, MFM….scorching heat and definitely fabulous.[image error]
Great writing – filled with wit and emotion, good characterization that I felt I knew them; I wanted them to overcome all the obstacles they faced and have a happy life together. All of this made a rather unbelievable story and characters totally believable and real to me. That’s the gift of storytelling. Pulls you in and never lets you go. Love the settings in the story, especially the Cotswold area in England.

This is truly a sweet, enthralling, sexy and lovely book. It has a great story-line, with characters that I feel instantly in love with. It left such warmth in my heart.
And the epilogue and seeing it from Nick’s POV (the story, apart from the Prologue, is told in Laura’s POV) – I ABSOLUTELY ADORED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can we get some more of Josh, Nick & Laura & &……. photo tumblr_lrf9mngc651qku1djo1_500_zps7a18b6ff.gif

Nick and Josh are celebrating their 10th anniversary at Marbella. Josh expresses his desires to have sex with a woman because he feels he is missing out. Nick says their relationship is strong enough and gives him permission, if the possibility occurs, to do it.

But first, to make their anniversary perfect, they have sex, and based on how they are verbalizing their satisfaction it must have been pretty good.

But I didn’t feel it.

Laura is staying at the same hotel as Nick and Josh are, and she sees Josh at the beach next day. She is immediately attracted to this “perfect specimen of manhood”, but to her disappointment she notices his wedding ring. As if that would be the only obstacle to have a chance with him. Too bad, because “his smile is enough to cause her bikini briefs to spontaneously combust.”

But Josh buys her a drink and invites her to have dinner with him and his husband.

She accepts the invitation and the evening is wonderful. Both men are “devastatingly attractive” and Laura is apparently Josh’s dream come true (in less than a day).
“Laura, I’ve never been with a woman, never really, truly wanted to. Until now.”

After this, you get a sex scene with sex-education from Laura and porn-like dialogues.

The rest of story is also totally unrealistic and overdone. I expected much more.

This book is true form of ménage . Where no one is left out there all equals. Its a relationship process , a slow process we get to see how their relationship developes into something more. In other books that I have read it lacks the emotional part and the slow- process of a developed relationship. In other books its smut and erotic only .

My view of the 3

Laura, Nick & Josh

Josh & Nick Kendal are celebrating their 10 yr anniversary. Josh has only ever been with Nick, but he's been wondering what it would be like to be with a woman. He & Nick have an understanding that if he ever finds a woman he connects with, he can have one encounter with her. Josh just happens to find that woman, Laura.

Laura is on a working vacation when she sees Josh coming out of the ocean in what she refers to as a "Daniel Craig" moment. Only hotter. She's very disappointed when she sees his wedding ring & finds out he's not just married, but to another man. Then Josh invites her to dinner with him & Nick and she finds out Nick is also hot. And Nick has given permission for her & Josh to have a one-night stand.

She goes back to her real life after that night, but she can't get Josh out of her mind. And when he asks her to come visit with them in order to take a portrait of him for Nick's birthday, she accepts. When she gets there she finds out that Nick is not really ok with her being there or having been with Josh, but he loves Josh & wanted him to have that one night. She tells Nick she won't do anything to come between them - that she's only there to work.

When Josh is hurt firefighting & not recovering from the accident, Nick comes to her & asks her to come back in order to help Josh. She does & Nick tells her that he only wants Josh's happiness & if that means she's a part of Josh's life then he is ok with it. Then Nick joins in while she & Josh are having sex.

(...)

I liked the characters. When I read a story, I always try to see if I can relate with their personalities and their choices. And of course, if the decision taken in the story is one I would have done, the character becomes more lovable to me.

The story was credible and sometimes it was not.

(...)

So this story was credible: two guys meet a girl and one of them has a one night fling. No big deal so far. But when the two guys are gay, celebrating their 10 years anniversary and during a conversation one of them express his urge to loose his virginity with a woman. I was not convinced. But hey! sometimes we do not pick the place to talk about certain subject. It comes as it comes.

So the guy who had this urge find a girl. And of course, he falls in love with her and at his return to real life, his partner get pissed off about it because he broke the deal of the one-night-only-fling and move on. I believed the part of “I love him and because I love him, I will accept his need to discover sex with a woman”. It was selfishness and I admire someone that is able to do that for his/her partner.

(...)

So, yes. I understood the story and the reasons pretty well. I think I have the reverse reaction of most readers who preferred the second part of the story when the third fell in love with the heroine.

It was logical and I cannot say it was badly developed. It was fine but maybe I wanted a bit more conflict and it was then that I found a couple of inconsistencies too.

(...)

However, I liked the epilogue. It was sweet. Lily Harlem is definitely an author I enjoy reading (read my review about http://marymenage.wordpress.com/2012/07/24/shared-by-lily-harlem/Shared)

So for many reason, I liked the story and I recommend this story.

HOLY COW! The Glass Knot is one HOT HOT HOT read! Yes, it deserves three HOTS!

Laura is on vacation when she meets this REALLY hot guy, and then she meets his equally hot husband. Damn! Gotta hate it when that happens.

Josh has never been with a woman. He’s thought about it, but never done it. His husband, Nick, was married to a woman before he married Josh. So, Nick, loving Josh as much as he does, gives him a pass for the night. Josh and Laura spend an amazing night together.

Problems arise when Josh still wants Laura and Laura still wants Josh.

This was a great story. It’s full of emotion and passion. It was not a straightforward story. Nick was jealous and fearful of losing Josh. He didn’t want Laura around. Laura understood this and didn't want to come between Josh and Nick.

We had the full range of emotions, jealousy, anger, and love. The resolution didn’t come easy. They had to fight for what they want and end up almost losing each other to find out what was important.

The passion between these three was off the charts. They were enthralled with each other and couldn’t get enough other. It was hot and their passion burned bright. I loved how they fought so hard for each other, not just in the bedroom but out of it. Their willingness to fight for each other, made their bedroom passion that much hotter. It was amazing.

I’m really looking forward to reading more books from Lily Harlem!

I had the Glass Knot by Lily Harlem on my TBR list for a while so when I saw it on sale, I picked it up. I love ménage books, with MMF relationships being my favorite to read so I was excited to read this one.

The set up for The Glass Knot is a little different than other ménage stories I have read. Nick and Josh have been happily married for ten years. Nick is a bit older and was previously married to a woman before he met and fell in love with Josh. Nick was Josh’s first love and his first sexual experience ever. He was a virgin when he met Nick and never had sex with anyone else. Although very happy in his marriage with Nick, the idea of being with a woman sexually offers a certain appeal.

… the thought of sex with a woman appealed to me, even though I loved Nick and loved having sex with him, I often imagined being inside a soft, sweet feminine body. And, like a small crack above a door frame, over the years of that door opening and shutting— each time I fantasized about being with a woman— it just got bigger. Now it was so big, that crack, it was starting to spit little chunks of plaster onto the foundations of our relationship. Nick had been right to bring it up— it was time to face facts. I wasn’t as gay as I thought I was.

While on vacation celebrating their anniversary, Josh meets Laura on the beach and invites her to dinner. Nick, realizing that Josh has questions about what sex with a woman would be like, encourages him to check that off his to do list by seducing Laura. Nick basically gives Josh a pass to have sex with Laura. One night and that’s it. Unfortunately, what seems so reasonable and harmless in theory has potentially far reaching repercussions for all involved. The Glass Knot is the story of what happens to a relationship when one night of discovery leads to deeper feelings, jealousy, and betrayal.

While reading the first half of The Glass Knot, I thought this would be a three star book for me. There wasn’t anything wrong with the book, I just didn’t enjoy the story line as much as I hoped I would. One issue may have been that I didn’t really care for Laura in the beginning of the book. I held nothing against her for her one night with Josh. Nick certainly approved Josh sleeping with her and to each their own. It was her handling of other situations that left me feeling like she was a bit of a home wrecker. When Josh invites her to come to the cottage and she realizes upon arriving that she’s not wanted there by Nick, she should have left immediately.

Maybe I should just go home. Cut my losses. Who wanted to be an unwanted guest?

But why should I?

Josh asked me to come and stay. I’d driven all that way in my clunky car, spent money on petrol and was hoping for some much-needed work. No, I was here and I was staying— at least until I saw Josh.

It was that kind of thought process that rubbed me the wrong way initially. With Josh and Nick being married, I felt like it was her responsibility to back off once she realized Nick wasn’t comfortable with her being there. The fact that Nick didn’t like her, didn’t like sharing his husband, and was worried about how she was affecting his marriage seemed very reasonable to me. I put myself in Nick’s shoes and my heart hurt for him a little.

“I’ve spent the last ten years trying to make everything perfect for Josh. He’s the love of my life, my everything. This home, supporting him through the beginning of his career, the extravagant holidays, placating his damn homophobic father, I’ve done it all to make life perfect for Josh, and then…” He gritted his teeth and squeezed his eyes shut; his long, black lashes meshed together and the small crinkles on the outer edge of his sockets deepened. “And then you, in just one night, make everything perfect.”

Somewhere around the half-way mark though the story came together a bit for me and became more enjoyable. I think the change in dynamics that occurs between all the characters helped make the story more enjoyable for me. It also became easier to like Laura as a character and to stop feeling bad for Nick.

The Glass Knot is an erotic romance and the steam level was what I expected, HOT!

“Is he in your ass?” Josh asked.

My mouth wouldn’t form words, even one word, so I nodded and bore my hips down for more, more filling, more sensation. My need to climax had turned me hotter than the fire at my side, and I was feverish with desperation. I wanted to cry out in ecstasy but it was as though my body was not my own. Nick had claimed it, he was in control.

“Oh, yeah, take him, take him in your ass. It’s so good when he does that, isn’t it?” Josh said excitedly.

The book is listed as 270 pages but it is a quick read. I wish it would have been longer. I think the bones of the story were good but could have been improved by spending some time exploring the dynamics and feelings of the characters as the relationship develops. There were a few editing issues, missed punctuation, a few words where it looks like a letter was left off, etc. Nothing that distracted me from the story, just something I noticed here and there.

My rating is 3.50 but I am rounding up to FOUR STARS. Overall, I enjoyed the book and would recommend to others that like to read MMF ménage story lines or erotic romances. I would definitely read this author again in the future.

I received this book as a review copy in return for an honest review.
This was a great book by Lily Harlem!
This book is about two men(Nick and Josh)who went Marbella for their 10th anniversary.
Nick had been married before Josh and didn't realize he was gay until he met Josh and ended his marriage. Josh had never been with another person only Nick. Nick asked Josh if he ever thought about being with a woman. "But yes, I do sometimes still think of being with a woman."
Josh feels guilty about his admissions. Nick had given Josh a free pass for one night to be with a woman.
Laura had maxed out her cards to make this trip to Marbella. She is a photographer barely making it thru life by selling her photographs. She is relaxing on the beach one day taking pictures of her surrounding till she sees "a buff beach God strolling out of the water."
They made eye contact and then she noticed the wedding ring and he walked on bye.
Laura was so turned on by this man. She had taken a year off from dating due to a string of disastrous relationships. All of a sudden she looks up and there he was with a drink in his hand for her. She asks where his wife is and he said he didn't have one, he had a partner named Nick. He then introduces himself as Josh and asked her to join him for dinner.
Dinner was an interesting event. They all talked while the men were sizing her up. Nick approved and let them be alone for a while. Josh asked her to dance and he held her close and in doing so he was getting turned on and so was she. Josh told her the situation about a one night fling and she went along with it. Turned out to be a hot memorable night for the both of them.
They went on their way and Josh was all she could really think about.
Josh had invited her to come vist him and Nick to take his pictures for Nick birthday.
Josh was not at home when she showed up but Nick was and he wasn't to happy with her being there.
Laura had feelings for Josh and Josh had feelings for Laura.
They ended up sneaking around behind Nicks back and regreting it so Josh told Nick what they had done. Laura ended up sneaking out of the house and headed home ingnoring any phone contact with Josh.
Nick showed up one day to talk to Laura because Josh had been hurt and he needed her help.
She went back to their house with Josh and thats when everything started to change for the three of them. Nick and Laura decided they would do what ever to keep Josh in their lives. Little did they know they would end up falling for each other also.

I don't want to give it all away.
Please take the time to read this juicy story.
Its worth the time!

I'm always very wary and skeptical of books written in first person. Unfortunately writing in first person makes it much too easy for authors to write weak characters who do a lot of navel gazing. Thankfully me and Ms Harlem have a pretty good track-record, so I wasn't too worried diving into one of her books.

The book I was reading felt like it was going nowhere fast, so I needed something completely different to dive into. Lily Harlem seemed like a safe bet, so I scrolled through my Kindle and started reading the first book by Ms Harlem that I came across.

The prologue is pretty intense. This is where we meet Nick and Josh who are celebrating their 10 year marriage anniversary, and it's in the voice of Josh. As soon as you turn the page to chapter one, the story is in the voice of Laura. Laura doesn't have the easiest life, but she's proud and she hates to beg for help. Even from those who love her.

While Nick was married to a woman before he met Josh, Josh has never been with a woman. This is something that is on Josh's mind a lot, and the guys make a deal that he will get to 'lose his virginity' to a woman when the time is right. Enter Laura. Josh quickly loses his heart to her, and that scares the crap out of Nick.

The book is in Laura's voice until we get to the epilogue, where we get to hear how Nick feels about the whole thing. Usually when a book is written first person, multiple points of view, it's in alternate chapters. Something that can quickly become a mess. The way Ms Harlem solved this, is by putting alternate voices at the beginning of the book and the end. I loved that!

The story is very intense, and somewhat dark in parts. The characters have doubts and fears, and communication breaks down. It gives the story a very genuine feel as it isn't all roses and pink clouds all the time. And best of all, I love that this is a MM, MMF, MFM and MF book. Lily Harlem has once again delivered, and is quickly becoming my go-to author.

I liked this story, but the beginning was a little hard for me to get pulled into. It felt a little forced and unbelievable, and certain things seemed to happen too quickly for my comfort, especially in the fact that there seemed an insensitivity to one of the MCs.

There were some minor edits that bugged me here and there, also, but after the first 2/3s of the story, I finally was pulled in. I enjoyed the scenes with all 3 parties more so than with just two, but all the sex scenes were written pretty well. The little bit of angst put in here and there did help the story seem a bit more realistic as far as what the various parties might feel about the situation, but I can't help feeling that Josh was a little too self-involved for my comfort.

The epilogue does help in making the reader believe there is an HEA, which helped me get rid of the 'squick' in the beginning that felt that there was infidelity, which is a big turn off for me. A decent read, and I will be looking at more books by this author.

Married guy, Nick, mets the love of his life, Josh - divorces wife and marries Josh.

10 years later - Josh is curious - he wants to know what it is like with a woman and Nick agrees he should try it - once.

Whilst on holiday in Marbella Laura sees the most perfect specimen of malehood - Josh and he notices her too.

Fantastic chemistry between all 3 characters - plenty of sizzling sex scenes too - mm, m/f and mmf.

I read this book after reading the silk tie and I thought the book was fantastic. It was an edge of the seat kind of read with you not knowing what was going to happen the three main characters Josh, Nick & Laura. Lily (the author) keeps you waiting to see what happens and I for one, was not disappointed in the story. If you have read The Silk Tie then you will not want to miss this book. Excellent read!!

Interesting premise. Two bisexual men on vacation, one of them never having been with a woman. Josh meets Laura and there are sparks, though Laura knows Josh is married to Nick. But Nick gives Josh permission to have a one-night thing with Laura and it's kind of magical for them both. But they part ways and go home. And then Josh tracks Laura down back at home and invites her to spend some time with him and Nick. And Nick's not exactly thrilled with this idea, but he loves Josh and wants to see him happy. Of course, things can't go smoothly, but eventually everything gets worked out and everyone is happy. Definitely a steamy one with three people involved with each other.

Note: I received this review copy of The Silk Tie for free from the author in return for an honest review. The opinions and thoughts I share in this review are my own.

Please also note that this book is an erotic threesome (containing MMF/MFM/MM/MF) romance book and is not (in my opinion) suitable for under 18’s. Adults, please use your discretion to make your own decision.

The Glass Knot is the third book I have read by the British author Lily Harlem and I am more in love with her work after reading this story than ever.

On a working holiday in Marbella, photographer Laura is taken with a very handsome man she sees coming out of the water and up the sand towards her. Her hopes are shattered however after noticing his wedding ring. After buying her a drink and striking up a conversation, Josh tells Laura that there is no wife waiting for him but a husband instead and they are on holiday celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary. Shocked and disappointed that this hunk is taken, Laura is surprised to be invited to dine with them that evening but she agrees.

At dinner, Laura meets Nick, Josh’s very attractive husband. Leaving early, Nick tells Josh to take his time; with Nick’s permission, Josh – who has never been with anyone else but Nick and wanting to know what it is like to be with a woman – and Laura spend one night together and make their separate ways back to England, positive that they won’t see one another again.

One day though, a delivery of flowers brings an invitation from Josh for Laura to come to his and Nick’s house in the Cotswolds. Unsure of her decision but wanting to see him again, Laura agrees. With Josh away from home when she arrives, she finds Nick to be aloof and cold. Knowing though that it was Nick’s choice for his husband to have a night with her, Laura shrugs it off and explores their home. Finally, after a confrontation by Nick, Laura understands how his relationship has changed with his husband and how Josh now can’t get Laura out of his head. Promising to leave, Laura is stopped by Josh and she ends up staying. It takes another mistake and a confrontation to see how she is harming this marriage though and Laura quickly leaves.

Unfortunately, it takes a major accident for Nick to realise where his priorities really lie and for Laura, Josh and Nick to come to terms with what they really want and what they have to fight for.
As with other Lily Harlem books (though not all of them I hasten to add) this is a threesome erotic romance. There is male/male romance as well – for goodness sake, Josh and Nick have been happily married for 10 years! – along with male/female scenes. If you don’t like love and sex, don’t bother reading it.

I mentioned before, the word romance. There is heaps of it. So far all the books I have read by Lily have been filled with love and romance and these are the ones which hit at the heart and make you feel all warm and mushy. There are always hindrances and questioning and those moments when you think the whole thing is over but this marvellous author carries straight through them all and gives you a massive hug and a sloppy wet kiss with her writing. The story explores many difficult parts of relationships; attraction to somebody outside the relationship, loving someone besides your partner and trying to come to terms with the whole thing in a way which doesn’t hurt anyone.

With emotions aplenty and enough love, romance and sex to fill a (very big something) this is the perfect weekend read and one I am privileged to have had the chance to read. Thank you!

I really love this author. This is the second book I have read by her and in both books, I have noticed that she has a way of writing about settings in Europe without using a lot of British slang that can make books confusing for the reader. I love books set in the UK, but when I have to look up a word on every page (i.e., The Silver Chain) it's just not a lot of fun to read and interrupts my reading flow. This one has great settings, from the coast in Marabella to the dregs of London to the English countryside. Excellent description and the descriptions of the food that they ate somehow added to the sexy nature of this story...I can't really explain it. Then...you have the story. The title is extremely appropriate. Josh and Nick are happily married...MORE than happily married, but Nick knows that Josh, being a virgin to the ladies, wants to know what it's like to be with a woman. THE NEXT DAY, he meets Laura and in one night, without her meaning to or even knowing that she did it, she shatters the glass knot that ties Nick and Josh together. The rest of the story deals with the relationships that recover and build A.L. (After Laura) between Laura and Josh and their undeniable attraction and pull, Josh and Nick and how they deal with how this has affected their marriage, and then, at long last, Nick finally giving in to the fact that he understands Laura's pull on Josh and admitting that he feels it too. I'm really lucky that I have gotten to read so many great true menage stories in the last few months...this one is definitely at the top of the list and is a must-read for any MMF fans. This author is quickly rising to the top as one of my favorites.

Happily married to Nick for 10 years, Josh knows that he's found his forever love; but Nick is older, more experienced, and Josh can't help but wonder what it would be like to make love to a woman. They've even talked about it, and Nick has made it clear that he's open to Josh exploring that side of his sexuality. The problem is that Josh isn't interested in sleeping with just any woman; it would need to be someone he felt a connection to... someone special.

Laura has given up on men. After experiencing nothing but loser boyfriends who have given her nothing but heartache, she's spent the last year focusing on her photography business. She'd like to believe that her trusty vibrator is all that she needs to satisfy her, but when Josh Kendal walks out of the water and into her camera's viewfinder, she can't help but dream of what it would be like to spend the night in his sexy embrace.

Josh is equally fascinated by the beautiful woman he caught eyeing him that day, and when their attraction leads to a night of passion, it's more perfect than he ever imagined it could be.

Nick, Josh and Laura quickly learn that you should be careful what you wish for, because that one night changed everything...

THE GLASS KNOT is a passionately written and captivating story that balances explosive sensuality and touching emotions into an entertaining romance that felt like a grown up version of the fairytales of my childhood. I would recommend this well paced and delightful book to readers who are looking to experience a unique story with emotional characters and unexpected plot lines.

I could not put this book down. First book from this author. It was a beautifully written story about Nick, Josh, & Laura. A little different take on the ménage storyline since Nick had been married to a woman previously before marrying Josh. Josh had only been with Nick but was attracted to females while never acting on those feelings. Laura only had a few male lovers & was immediately attracted to Josh. Josh & Nick were on their 10th wedding anniversary holiday at the beginning of this book & you could tell they were happily married even though they had several conversations of Josh experiencing a romantic encounter with a woman just once. Josh and Laura had a "spark" from their first meeting on the beach when he replenished her drink after Laura had noticed him walking out of the ocean from a swim. This story had relationship twists & turns between Josh & Laura, Nick & Josh, and Nick & Laura. Thoroughly enjoyed this book & the authors style of writing. And yes, I got my HEA which I adore.

Now I will start of by saying that this was definitely a sexy read, as you and I know all of Lily's books tend to be. She is always so spot on with the chemistry between her characters, but I found that although I liked this book, I regretfully didn't love it as much as I had anticipated. I think that is mostly because so much was focused on the two relationships between Josh and Laura or Nick and Josh, that I didn't couldn't feel the connection at all between Nick and Laura and it felt forced. It was like three distinct relationships going on, and I wanted for it to all somehow melt together into one steamy hot three way relationship between them all. I just think that would have been more believable to me, because I can still see jealousy playing in this relationship in the future the way things played out. But like I said, it was hot and I really liked the chemistry between Nick and Josh and Josh and Laura. :)

One of the most erotic, sexy, hot books I have ever read with a great story line and so very well written.
This is the story of Nick and Josh who are in a relationship and have been for 10 years. Where as Nick was once married, Josh has only ever been with Nick, and has never experienced a relationship with a woman. Although their relationship is solid and they are very much in love, Josh has a secret desire to "be" with a woman for just the one night, to feel and experience what he has never had.
When they are on holiday Josh bumps into Laura who is away for a weekend break, he takes a liking to her and with Nicks blessing gets to spend that one night he has always wanted with a woman.
But as you might expect things get complicated and this book tells their story, and what a story it is.
A wonderful romantic story with lots and lots of hot, passionate sex !!! But it is so much more than just the sex as you will see. A brilliant book to read and I can't praise it enough !!

Let's face it, when you read a Lily Harlem book, you just know you're in for some sexy times and those sexy times are good. That said, what keeps me going back to Lily's book is not how hot they are but the fact that she writes a great story and she creates wonderful characters. The Glass Knot is no different. I was slightly apprehensive getting into this book because it was slightly outside of my comfort zone, however, once I got over my initial shock (alright, I admit, I can be a bit of a prude!) I really, really enjoyed it. I loved the story for itself, the changing dynamics of two of the main characters as a third is entered into the mix. I kept reading because I wanted to see how the relationship would resolve itself as it got to the happily ever after. All in all, another excellent read by Lily.

3.5/4 Stars
I found the plot of this m/m/f story extremely unbelievable; which is why I gave it a 3.5 stars. However, the chemistry and the dynamic of the three-way relationship was so well written, I'm giving that part 4 stars. And the sex....definitely worthy of 5 stars (IMO)! I love how the author the jealousy issue. She gave a very realistic view of how it could be in this type of relationship and how Nick had to come to terms with the new addition of Laura into his marriage with Josh. I completely loved this aspect of the story. I feel it was believable and well written. All in all, if you enjoy m/m/f menage stories, you should love this one.

Another excellent book by Lily Harlem. The characters felt very real to me. I wanted to see that they reached for their HEA. Some of the scenes were very intense for me especially the one where Nick and Josh are in the kitchen after Josh was with Laura. I loved that Laura could not pull herself away from that scene just as much as I couldn't stop reading it. Lily did a wonderful job with the M/M, M/F and M/M/F scenes. She got to the emotional heart of their story. Her books are always a pleasure to read. Can't wait for the next one.
