Has its strong points and weak points. Once again, there is no bibliography regarding the scientific information offered here. That would be really nice! But this book went further than Keto Basics in that it went into combining a ketogenic diet with intermittent fasting, which I had already decided to try on my own. This is loaded with information on that and other aspects of this eating plan, but when it came to recipes it sort of fell flat for me. Some of the instructions were bungled, many called for special ingredients I have no idea where to find, and most had lots of dairy. Still, I'm very happy with this book. And, in fact, after reading this and Keto Basics and then looking at some far inferior books that seemed to follow fads, food conspiracy theories, and just plain silliness in the writing styles, I'm going to raise my rating of both books to 4.5 stars rounded to 5. Highly recommended, for anyone interested in a ketogenic diet or lifestyle.

I wanted to read this to add to my keto research and make sure there was nothing I was missing. I did not find it as comprehensive as I had hoped but was a good reinforcement. The main message that I heard loud and clear was: DRINK WATER 🤪

Great book of the keto diet for beginners.

I found this book very informative. I also like the recipes included. I borrowed it from the library, but ended up buying a copy to have the information to refer back to, while I am following the keto diet.

I’ve been eating this way for years, but for the past year in a half not following as well. This was a great reminder of why I ate this way for so long. This book is great for those who don’t know a lot about Keto and the first steps to take!

Very informative. Since my doc suggested the diet for me, I chose this to help get me started. Lots of detail about the way the diet works, things to avoid, what to expect, etc.

This is not a book for dummies. No. I felt like a dummy trying to understand it. There are better, simpler keto books out there. Find one.

This book had everything I needed to start my keto journey. I thought I knew what Keto was about but I did not. This book was easy to read, interesting and went into detail about peer reviewed journal articles and scientific research studies. It is just the right level of information.

This was a good book to learn the basics of a Keto lifestyle. It provides a few recipes at the end in multiple categories so this is useful as a starting point.
