This book is composed of three Christmas novellas featuring 3 different, yet interconnected women: "Holly" Michelle, Cora & Jessica. Each novella is wonderfully festive and simultaneously great reads. That can often be difficult to achieve, but Ms May makes it look easy. (In fact, everything I've read by Alison May has been wonderful!) I highly recommend this collection to anyone looking for light romantic Holiday stories. The perfect balance is achieved between humor, holiday, and romance. They can be read alone, but once completing all three, you get a bigger picture. Each is unique and brings us to the heart of a woman facing difficult circumstances around the holidays. It's hard for me to pick a favorite, but I'd say maybe Cora's Christmas Kiss just because their romance was so different. Very highly recommended!!
**Many thanks to NetGalley and Choc-Lit publishers for a review copy!**
(Note: There is one, maybe 2 very small steamy parts)
If you’re looking to get into the holiday spirit, I can recommend a lovely group of Christmas novellas in one book, Christmas Kisses. Here you’ll find three women who don’t have the best history or luck around the Christmas holiday. They each need a bit of magic, faith and the right love to cross their path to make this year a Christmas to remember forever. Each story (novella) has been released before over the years, yet in this edition you’ll get all of the Christmas Kiss stories in one place. It really will warm your heart, bring out some forgotten magic and bring in the holidays with a touch of love and hope for a better future.
I’ve read each of these stories before – and it was a delight to once again meet up with these lovely ladies and watch the magic of Christmas change their lives. If like most of us your time in the coming holiday season is tighter than Scrooge’s money bag, then this is a perfect way to relax for a short time with a really good story.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this novel. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this story.*
Christmas Kisses is a collection of three short stories revolving round three women, Holly, Cora and Jessica who have not had the best of years and are not looking forward to Christmas - so a bit of Christmas magic is definitely required to turn around their fortunes.
A lovely warm hearted book with the three different stories - good characters and definitely the Christmas charm - I hadn't read any of them before when they were released as separate novellas so really good to read them one after the other and get that Christmassy feel!
Книгата е пълна с грешки от всякаво естество, което е грешка на издателя при редакцията и отпечатването и дразни по време на цялото четене. Иначе историите са интересни и увлекателни.
Very sweet Christmas book made up of 3 novellas about 3 women who are linked. I think this was a free download I never got around to as it didn’t look all that good. As part of my Xmas reading, and due to the fact I’ve clamped down on downloading stuff I’m not really interested in, this was one of the few unread Xmas stories left. Though I was very unenthusiastic, this actually drew me right in. Yes, it’s totally unlikely and most of the relationships move unrealistically quickly, but the writing style was very good and the characters were fleshed out well with interesting stories and I did actually find I cared whet happened to them, even though the endings were pretty obvious. The getting there was well done and kept me reading just a few more pages. Probably my favourite was Cora’s story, followed by Jess’s. I would recommend this one for a sugary Xmas story with a few hardships along the way. I could see it making a good Xmas chick flick.
My first pick for Christmas themed reading of 2019 started out magnificently with Christmas Kisses by new to me author Alison May. Three individual stories focusing on a different character who have all lost the Christmas spirit. The main thing I enjoyed is that even though each story is individual, they are all connected and I really enjoyed all of them. I found the character’s engaging and their experiences intriguing and interesting and I had a difficult time putting the book down. Thinking back, I’ve tried to pick a favorite of the three, but it’s nearly impossible. I had empathy for each character and their situation and was invested in their situation from the beginning.
My Final Verdict: Readers looking for a wonderful story to bring out the Christmas cheer and the spirit of the holiday should definitely start here. Though this was my first read by Alison May and the publisher, I hope it won’t be my last.
Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of Christmas Kisses from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
This was a collection of three Christmas romances that captured my attention very quickly. Even when one story ended, I found myself starting the next and read this in one sitting. I wouldn't say they're the best Christmas romances I've ever read but I did mostly enjoy myself. I do wish that Jessica's story had been longer because it felt glossed over.
Overall, if you like Christmas romances, I think this is a pretty enjoyable read.
Every December I read a Christmas book to get me in the festive spirit. I picked this one up, not know the author but the cover caught my eye. The book kept my attention through, it is 3 stories about 3 different women but all the stories interlink in different ways. I loved it, it was full of surprises and would certainly recommend it to anyone looking an easy read Christmas book.
Different to what I usually read, but I decided to branch out this Christmas and get into the Christmas spirit with some feel good romance novels. This one was made up of 3 different stories that interlink. I love it when stories do this, as I get to see my favourite characters progress without the story being focused on them. It also means I get 3 shorter stories for the price of one. I found myself getting into the Christmas spirit and the stories made me feel happy and hopeful.
Трите истории са преплетени изкусно. Грешки, тежки избори, но Коледа прави всичко възможно. Българското издание обаче е пълно с правописни грешки - потресаващо е.
Thank you to Netgalley, Chick Lit and Alison May for the opportunity to read this book for an honest review.
I love the book that Chick Lit publish. I always know that I am in for a good heartwarming sweet read when I pick up one of their books and this is simply no exception.
This is a lovely warm hearted book. Which tells three different stories of three very different women. Who are all joined together as they have all had a terrible year. None of them are looking forward to Christmas and they are all in desperate need to some Christmas magic.
These books were all released previously as standalone books but have been put into one collection as they are lovely short stories. I think reading them all in one go helps to spread that Christmas magic and helps you feel all Christmassy.
Holly - holly hates Christmas with a passion but can't escape it. I guess with a name of Holly you would end up either really loving Christmas or hating it. Every year around Christmas time. Something bad always happens to Holly. Holly just wants to escape this year on a lovely holiday. But when the plane is cancelled for that special once in a life time holiday. Holly thinks that she is going to be celebrating on her own. That is until she meet the lovely Sean Munro. Can a chance encounter turn Hollys life around? Can Sean change Holly's mind about the festive season? And is there love on the cards for these two?
Cora - Cora has had a really bad year. So come to that has Liam. Their circumstances both lead them to working in Goldings department store and dressing up as Santa and his Reindeer. Their shared embarrassment and bleak situations see them having massive heart to hearts. But is this new friendship just for Christmas? Or is it a fledgling romance? Could they turn each other's lives around for the better? And make Christmas special after all?
Jessica - Jessica thinks that real Christmas miracles only happen in the movies and not in real life. But when Jessica finds out her husband has been having an affair and divorce is on the cards. She is really hoping for a miracle to come along and make things. Better. Jessica is harbouring a secret. When she was fifteen she shared an unbelievable first kiss with a mystery boy. That kiss was perfect and Jessica had found herself thinking about that kiss in her dark times as it makes her feel happy. But what if the boy couldn't stop thinking about Jessica too? What is a chance encounter was to bring these two together? Could Jessica have a perfect Christmas after all.
Each of these ladies is in desperate need of some Christmas magic. This book has it in bucket loads and I guarantee that when you read this book it will work its magic on you as well.
This was a sweet holiday treat, three interconnected Christmas romance stories make Christmas Kisses magical. Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers ChocLit for granting me access to this book.
The first romance is with Holly Michelle Jolly, who hates Christmas. She only goes by the name Michelle. Hard and fiercely independent Michelle is at first not interested in the always spirited and happy to help Sean. But then there is romance and falling in love. And it just a pleasure to read. The second story is about Cora who is briefly introduced in Michelle's and Sean's romance. Cora is rebuilding her life after a long and painful year. Then the final story is of Jessica who is Michelle's best friend. I thoroughly enjoyed how each story was divided between the main heroine's perspective and the man pursuing her. Of the three love stories the one I enjoyed the most was Cora's Kiss and her relationship with Liam. If you enjoy contemporary romance then these stories are perfect for the holidays.
Christmas Kisses by Alison May is three short romantic stories with a festive feel. Each one can be read as a standalone or all three as a complete longer story, as they are all linked by the characters involved and moves onto the next story on a continuous timeline.
I really enjoyed each story, which although have the Christmas feel, does not drip with too much sentimentality. It has just that right amount to get you in the mood for Christmas, but not enough to make you feel as if your own celebrations will be lacking in some way.
I thought the main characters were well drawn and likable, particularly when you started to learn more about their story and see them from a different perspective. A great read that can be enjoyed anytime of the year.

I loved this book, its actually three books in one. We get Holly’s Christmas Kiss….Cora’s Christmas Kiss and Jessica’s Christmas Kiss all of which are individual Christmas stories. Each story will get you in the festive spirit I can guarantee it, so get in the loft, grab your tree and decorate it.Who cares that its only October. Thank you so much to the publishers and netgalley for this wonderful book xx
Three beautifully entwined festive novellas all in one enjoyable bundle - what's not to like?! The three female protagonists were very different characters and I had a real 'aaah' moment at the end when they had all found love. This book will definitely get you in the Christmas spirit ......I've just added mince pies to my supermarket order as a result of reading it!
A cute trio of inteconnected romances featuring a Holly, her friend Jess and the "other" woman, Cora. The stories all revolve around the holidays and how the three women's paths cross.
I loved this book and definitely recommend it as a Christmas read. It's three novella's, each with a connection to the other. Full of love and romance, with a wonderful Christmas theme.
