What if you were trapped under a building with a vampire?

For Agent Nick Reynolds, visiting the morgue is routine. That is until he has to take a Special Agent Dylan Torrence down to investigate two men who are missing their hearts.

After they get trapped inside, Agent Reynolds must survive after the hungry vampire that hides under Dylan Torrence's skin wakes up.

"The Collapse" is a short story that takes place after the events of The Fall of Witchcraft, the third book of the North American Vampire Secret Agency series.

An introduction to Special Agent Nick Reynolds. When Special Agent Dylan Torrence is sent to investigate the two corpses in the morgue with their hearts removed, a bomb collapses the portion of the hospital where he and Nick are. He quickly learns that Dylan is a vampire who will likely lose control and attack him. Events play out well as should be expected. Interesting enough to read regardless of whether you plan to read the series.

Easy-to-read. Entertaining. Great world building. Scary. Tragic. Twisted. Unpredictable. Wonderful characters.

I read this book out of order. It’s book 3.5. It didn’t matter, it works well as a standalone. I liked the characters so now I have to read the entire series. It’s a 3 day holiday weekend and I have a great series to read!

I love a book that holds my attention and never let it go and this book does not fail. I kept my eyes pinned to every word and my mind on the visualized scene of two guys tramped after the structure beneath their feet has collapsed. It is there where Silva creates the most imaginable scene that makes you, the reader, talk to yourself, saying what you would do in such a situation. And trust me, I did. "Uh, uh...no way...I would, it's time, and so on." This short story quickly puts you in the moment. The first of Silva's books I've read, but not the last. She is a storyteller. Glad to be a new lifetime fan. Join the party, because Author Claudia Silva's knows how to entertain.
