He’s an ex-military man working through his demons. She’s a high-powered lawyer looking to shake things up. Sometimes the very answer you’ve been searching for can be found right where you started…
Kendra lives a high-powered life in New York City but something is missing. She visits home to shake things up, and that’s when she notices her brother’s best friend, Wyatt. The hot man in front of her is nothing like she remembered at all.
Wyatt is back from Afghanistan and whoring his way through woman after woman in an attempt to forget his time overseas. One look at Kendra though, and he falls hard and fast for the out-of-town beauty.
Will this unlikely couple even stand a chance at a happily ever after? Especially once Wyatt’s best friend, who is also Kendra’s brother, finds out what they’ve been up to?
WYATT is a sweet and steamy, stand-alone, military romance. It is not appropriate for readers under 18 due to sizzling HAWT love scenes!
Kendra goes home for a visit when she realizes something is missing from her life in New York City. Wyatt is back from Afghanistan trying to forget his time there. When she sees her friend’s brother sparks fly. Will they discover what is missing in their lives is each other? Fast-paced sweet read with plenty of drama and steamy chemistry. I really liked it.
Such a sweet story. Wyatt had the damaged playboy veteran thing down pack, and I fell head over heels the first time Kendra walked in on him shirtless. Kendra was the idiot in this story, but she righted her wrongs and came to her senses. These two didnt expect this but they went at it with passion and openess. I would recommend. Happy reading! I honestly did even mean to get this book, but it capture my attention so quickly and tightly that before I knew it I was sucked in.
It started off as me just browsing while I waited for my Review from a previous book to upload. To finding this book and reading the summary. Then to me deciding to read the sample and before I knew it I got the entire book and was already on chapter 8.
This book literally sucked me in, and was so worth it. That little taste of how Wyatt and Kendra meet in the bar, was not enough for me to just keep it moving. I needed to find out what was Wyatt story of being a man whore. And what was Kendra deal for up and leaving the big city, and her dream to return home.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and I was extremely happy when the two didn't just jump right into bed with one another. They ended up spending time with each other, before going deep under covers.
I was wondering how Wyatt best friend/ Kendra older brother was going to react to this. And I left me want a little more from him. Yes he had something to say about it, but I wish Coco Miller had added a little more between the two on it. Rather then summarizing it up explaining that even though he said what he said earlier. He wasn't going to take the news laying down. A little more confrontation would've been nice.
But even without it I like the book, you can really see the change in Wyatt and Kendra. From the instant argument with one another to finally finding some ground to stand on and make a path for each out.
I do wish there was a little more drama in the sense of conflict. For example Wyatt was afraid that some of the woman he was with would tell her horrible things about him. ( Though he already told her, and it was already made clear to her in the beginning that he sleeps around and don't do relationships).
I EXPECTED at least someone coming up and trying to give her a hard time. But it was brought up and then glazed over to only people glancing and whispering. It was like it was him being all nervous for nothing since no one even said anything. And by what was describe earlier in the book you would AT LEAST expect someone to come up and say something.
But sadly this isn't the case. The most conflict that you have is between the two main characters on if they trust one another or not, and to give each other a chance.
Which doesn't make it a bad book, and Like I said earlier in my review I really enjoy this book. Just wish for a little more conflict. I do plan on reading the other Over watch Division books, hopefully it capture my attention like this one.
Wyatt is the kind of book that draws you in and won't let you go. He is the playboy veteran trying to subdue his ghosts by changing his women as often as he changes his clothes but it isn't really helping. She is the high powered attorney that knows something is missing in her life but she isn't sure what She heads back to her home town in an effort to get her head on the right way and there she meets Wyatt someone from her past He isn't the boy she remembers and the spark between them is instant have they both finally found what they have been looking for You will have to read to see if they get a HEA
This is a small-town romance that has two people returning home and running into each other. Wyatt has returned home and wants to forget his time in the way and does so via alcohol and a stream of on-night stands. Kendra is a success lawyer but feels she is missing something in her life. Wyatt is Kendra’s brother’s best friend and so the two should not get together. They feel chemistry between them and a pull. But big brother is not going to be happy. It’s a good story and well written with characters that are easy to like once you get to know them.

Wyatt is damaged from his overseas tour, to try to stop his demons he goes through woman after woman just to forget! Kendra is a lawyer trying to find what is missing in her life. So she heads back home. This is where these two meet again after several years. He falls head over heels when he meets her again. He has changed and not at all like she remembers him. Will these two actually come together? Will they help each other to find what they are both searching for?

Oh the excitement I felt when reading this book! It is FANTASTIC! It is fast pace, sweet, emotionally deep, and very interesting. The chemistry between Wyatt and Kendra is off the charts and the sex scenes are OMG out of this world and well described. Quite the page turner, easily read in one sitting, it will draw you in from the first page and never let go until the end. I finished the story wanting more. Strongly recommended!

This is my first time reading this author's work and this story just didn't mesh well for me. I love stories that involve the main characters knowing each other when they were younger and reconnecting with each other. This story between Wyatt and Kendra fell flat in that aspect. The chemistry between the two didn't really click, and the dialogue was cheesy and had no feelings behind them, which in turn made the chemistry between the two just a standard run of the mill story....nothing special. I will try another story...hopefully it will be better
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book via booksprout Wow I loved this book, it was very well written and the storyline was perfect. The characters were so different but together they were just perfect. Wyatt with a difficult childhood, lived live freely and with out regret until he meets Kendra. Then every thing changes for the both of them. It was so good to be able to watch them both grow together, Kendra and Wyatt just fit together so great when they started being honest with each other. Great book, so well written, another great book by Coco Miller. Highly recommend
I thought Wyatt and Kendra could have been deeper. I felt like something was missing from their characters. Kendra needed girlfriends to confide in. Wyatt needed to give more details about his military experiences and why it made him jaded. Wyatt was more defined by his broken home than his military experience.
It was a quick read. Very few errors. I would recommend it to my reading friends so we even could discuss our differences.
This was an amazing romance novel Coco Miller!! The people you encounter goes unnoticed until the right time to be noticed. I never understood that saying until I read stories like these. Kendra and Wyatt knew each other as kids but didn't pay attention to the details of each other. It was heartfelt and magical when they did finally take notice. I will be recommending this book to everyone I know!!!!
A overall great read. The characters are enjoyable, great chemistry between them. The story was good but a little flat in some areas, but otherwise a great read. The story is a sweet and steamy, stand-alone, military romance.

I love stories that involve military guys, not to mention on top of everything else this story is also a brother's best friend romance, which is another plus. Wyatt is broken from all the tours he did overseas but once he sees Kendra he is hooked, although he has been sleeping around until her.

This is a cute romance between a woman and her brother's best friend. It has some steamy scenes and just a little drama. But a happily ever after is guaranteed!

Couldn't get enough of Kendra & Wyatt's story. Great characters. With sizzling chemistry. I'm voluntarily leaving an honest review for a free copy of the book via booksprout.
Kendra is feeling burned out from her stressful career as an attorney. She takes a vacation to the resort owned by her family. While at a bar she sees Wyatt, her older brother's friend, but he's not the boy she remembers. He's the love 'em and leave 'em type and has done so with almost everyone woman in town. Kendra decides a romp with him is what she needs to break out of her funk. When she's too drunk to consent Wyatt takes her home to care for her. She assumes he took advantage of her but when she realizes the truth apologizes. They spend time together and despite being a man whore Wyatt realizes he wants more for the first time in his life. He not only rocks her world but they also spend time getting to k ow each other. Kendra is fine with Wyatt's slutty past until her brother (yes Wyatt's friend) tells her Wyatt is incapable of love. She seizes on a career opportunity as an excuse to run away, leaving them both heartbroken. The time apart allows Kendra to realize what they have is real. She returns and asks for a chance for forgiveness. Wyatt's never had a relationship before but also knows they have something special and takes her back. Kendra takes responsibility for running away instead of talking things out but I really hope the brother gets his for telling Wyatt he was okay with the relationship then tells his sister the opposite.
Didn't really like Kendra, too keen to make assumptions and run at the first sign of trouble. Her brother literally had a paragraph in the whole book and those few words were enough to show he was a prick. Why say one thing to your supposed best friend then completely trash him to your sister? And Wyatt opened up to Kendra about his fears and why he was the way he was and she still left!
2 stars for Wyatt he deserved better friends and a better love interest.

Some classic mistakes that do not make sense at all, but i love the plot, love interest as well as the light humour! Wyatt has lots more to over come i feel, and would of loved that to be explored more.. Kendra"s biological clock is running down fast so she needs to start living rather than watch the time fly past at an alarming rate! Whilst Wyatt is stuck in a rut being a man whore struggling to make sense of his life! How they start to live is what they find with each other.
Wyatt and Kendra have great chemistry together. I enjoyed reading this one. This story is a quick read with a lot of passion. It is a stand a lone too. It has some amazing HOT🔥 Steamy sex scenes.
I liked this book. If had a pretty simple storyline. Wyatt is a man with abandonment issues. And Kendra is a workaholic looking to break up the boring life that she lives. They meet at a bar, and become a couple eventually. No big revelations, suspenseful plot here.
Even though I loved everything about this story and it was definitely a page turner, I felt as though it could've been so much more added. I did not want it to end and I definitely have to get the epilog to find out how their relationship ended. Overall, I loved it!!
This book is relatable and whisks you away from the hustle and bustle of your own life to sweep you into a steamy love affair with a man labeled as the town's whore! Juicy!
It was a cute and quick read...but not a military romance. Just because a guy is a veteran does not make it a military romance. But it was a cute and light read.
I really enjoyed the story. My only complaint is that it would have been even better if the characters were developed more. In other words it was to short.
