Numero 6 relives an unforgettable and historic year for Liverpool Football Club. A year of inexorable hope, unprecedented success and European adventure; where domestic disappointment was swiftly followed by incredible, dramatic triumphs on the highest club stage of them all - the Champions League.
As they have been since 2011, The Anfield Wrap was there every step of the way. Now, in Numero 6, they are giving readers opportunity to relive the exhilaration and exhaustion of the last 12 months, in which The Reds gave us more extraordinary tales to tell and made us fall in love with football all over again.
This book left me unsure of what to think. It was great to reminisce on what is my favourite ever season watching Liverpool but being a subscriber of the Anfield Wrap at the time, all the articles put into the book I read on their site at the time. If you don't know the Anfield Wrap this will be enjoyable but to me it felt a bit lazy, it was still enjoyable though. Good read.
I really enjoyed this. Liverpool are on to another season, but last season was possibly the most fun one could have as a sports fan. The Anfield Wrap are a group of Scousers (Liverpudlians) that go to the match home and away and record podcasts and write articles about their experiences following the club. Living on the other side of the world, obsessive about such a silly thing like a soccer team, somehow I feel connected with these people. I've met all of them before and they're all great. If you are a Liverpool fan looking to relive the year we won it 6 times, absolutely pick this one up.
