Savi Sarma tells the story of Jhanvi and Ashray in this book. Jhanvi is a social media influencer and is trying to live an ideal life in front of her followers. When we try to become too perfect, we will have to fake some things if we change radically without much preparation. This problem can make you lose your originality, especially if you try to follow the fake it till you make it principle. We can see this aspect of life through Jhanvi's character.

Ashray, on the other hand, had a difficult start in his life. He is working hard to fulfill his dreams. What will happen when these two people meet each other in their life? Love, disappointment, friendship, and many other topics are themes that the author tries to explore in this book. This book will give you a decent reading experience, especially if you liked the other books by the author.

Stories we Never tell is based on the same basic fundamental, Savi Mam often try to convey. To never loose Hope, to love , to have faith in people around you and the Universe. We do require much more friends like Rishi, Kavya, Ashray & Jhanvi. We need to encourage to each other to hope to Never Loose faith and keep Tackling the problems. Because time will change, the dark times will be brightened up with a purpose.

This book by Savi Sharma is something that I didn't really enjoy for the first time.
The topic discussed in the book is definitely is a much needed topic to talk or express but somehow the way it's told in the book didn't get my interest in it. It could have probably said in a little more better way. The story could have been little more strong and validating. Many could have loved or liked this book. I'm not here to blame anyone because may be after reading something like everyone has a story series I was expecting little more from the author I guess. I don't tell you to not pick this one because our opinions may vary and I'm actually waiting to see other perspectives from you guys after you read it.
So yeah, if possible read the book and feel free to put your views out. #happyreading

Sometimes we fall in love with people because we feel the time is moving too quickly, but that person may not be the right one.
______________

This is a story of Ashray, who had a rocky start in life with hard work and determination, he translated his dreams into reality. The way the author described relations of Ashray and his mother was really beautiful and emotional to read.
On other hands the story of Jhanvi, who is a budding social media influencer. She appears to have it all together, living her ideal life which everyone wishes for ourselves but her deep-seated insecurities come to life and changed her life that she never imagined.

This book is the for ones who, like Jhanvi, have lost themselves trying to be someone else and to know that you too will find your way back. After the storm and chaos, peace and happiness will return.
And out of the four-books, THIS IS NOT YOUR STORY is still my favourite book from the author Though I am expecting more from this book.

Its a story about hope, light and recovery...
The story revolves around 4 individuals
1. Jhanvi - she is a social influencer always engrossed in her phone!! Checking her instagram profile and cribbing over it
2. Ashray - well he is a orphan and he is really aimbitious and looking forward to his new professional life
3. Kavya - Jhanvi's close friend
4 . Rishi - Ashray's colleague, his friend, his brother
So the story begins with jhanvi who is always on her phone, willing to be accepted based upon her likes, her followers but in reality she is all alone... she was cheated twice and she found alcohol to cover her damage which led to have an 'addictive personality disorder' labeled by the psychiatrist... Ashray has hopes, dreams to change his life after he joins Business Forward as a marketing consultant and meets Rishi his profound friend... well circumstances made him meet a girl Sakshi whom he really loved but she made a choice and couldn't be together. Ashray was broke couldn't deal with it but however having his mother and Rishi beside him left him recover and finally he was able to fulfill one of his dream of getting a home but happiness was not long as his mother passed way... Ash couldn't handle he started having panic attacks... well he needed a psychiatrist... he was the same psychiatrist where Jhanvi was being seeing ... they met there ... and it was obvious it isn't unsual for a relationship to develop between patients , people in need tend to lean in each other the wounded often seeking out other wounded..
Jhanvi and Ashray combined two sligltly damged planks laid in opposite directions bore the weight of their illness . They leaned on each other when the pressure was too much for one to handle and they made through by finding the one thing that every human being needs... which is "LOVE "
and at the end Rishi and Kavya were kind and passionate being with them in this journey and proved to be the best examples of friendship .... the world needs more people like them..

"There are stories of loss, darkness and destruction. But then there are always stories of hope, light and recovery, waiting to be told."

This book is for those who is in search of hope. I think it looks more like non fiction than fiction. Apart from the story there is a lots of good advice in the book which is essential in everybody's life. Vocabulary is not much used so it is easy to read. If you are avid reader this book is major disappointment for you, because you know why.

Self help!

This book talks, mainly about two people, Jhanvi and Ashray.
Jhanvi is a moderately(as she calls it) famous, social media influencer. She has been raised in a well off family, and the environment in which she's been brought up always demanded her to be perfect. With social media comes the pressure! So as her professional life as well demanded her to be perfect all the time, she had a hard time dealing with it, also her love life was a mess, with she being cheated by two guys in a series.
With all these issues prevailing in her life, she gets into a fight with her best friend, Kavya. At this point in her life where she has isolated herself from everyone in her life, she gets into more trouble which leads to her social media numbers falling drastically and also she ends up seeing a psychiatrist.

On the other side Ashray, is a someone who doesn't choose to be alone but eventually due to several tragic circumstances, is left alone. He is an orphan, adopted by a woman who loves him unconditionally. He has been raised by her to be the ideal son, his mother gave him all the love in the world and he equally loved and respected her. But one day when they were about to start their new life, he lost her, forever. Because of this loss and also the loss of a failed relationship, Ashray eventually finds himself with a psychiatrist.

Coincidentally, the psychiatrist that Jhanvi and Ashray visit happens to be the same. So this is where their story begins, two souls who are deeply hurt, due to different reasons, try to fit into each others lives, being there for each other, understanding each other and helping each other fight the battle of their lives.

The world needs more people like Kavya, Rishi and Dr. Shyam.

Concluding, this book teaches us to accept our flaws and embrace them, that it's okay to be not okay sometimes, to earn people who will always be by our sides at difficult times, and lastly to love ourselves and live all the tiny moments in our lives to the fullest.

Sometimes we choose to live in darkness.
We blessed with all, good parents, siblings, career. But still we choose to live alone. Not because we love others less, because we dont know what to do at that moment.

We cant forget the past hunting memories, the baggage, no matter how hard we try.

But there is always peace after storm, Spring after winter 🌸

Story of two people Jhanvi and Ashray.

Jhanvi is an media influencer and her life just revolves around her online presence and statistics of her profile. She had bad experience in love three times in a row, because of which she throws herself more in work but that very much effect her relationships with her parents and friend Kavya (the best friend anyone could wish for). She becomes control freak. Then she had a near death experience and how after that her life changes.

Ashray is an orphan and that feeling of being unwanted always remain with him in the back of his mind, even though a beautiful and caring lady Akshita adopts him and shower all her love on him and provide every facility in her power to the boy and make him a good human being. Then he got job, and falls in love with a girl who later left him and he fell in the unwanted mode again, from which his mother and his friend Rishi (also one of the best friend anyone could think of) bring him out. And when everything seems to be fine a tragedy strike and his life goes haywire.

I liked the way Jhanvi and Ashray's paths crosses throughout the story. And how they become support for each other.

It's a story of hope, love, to value the people around you who genuinely care for you and self introspection.

Some quotes from book which I liked:

☘️ 'Sometimes we fall in love with people because we feel time is moving too quickly, but that person may not be the right one. Your life, your pain right now, is just the way to guide you back to the person you are meant to be with. She is one person, Ashray, not every person. You will find the right woman, I promise you.'

☘️ Life is fluid, ever-changing; a fleeting moment, as Maa used to say. Everyone who enters your life must leave it eventually. How you choose to spend your time with them is entirely up to you.

☘️ Choosing to obey her parents' wishes does not mean she rejected you. It just means that she made a choice for her life. A choice that possibly meant an incredible amount of sacrifice for her.

☘️ No one ever fully recovers. Recovery is a process, ongoing and always changing. The things that set you off before become irrelevant and other things become important; life will always have something else that it throws at you. Challenging you to rise or daring you to crumble. Resting is not a sin, hiding for a little while to recover, regroup and find the strength to move forward again is fine, but hiding forever? This isn't an option. That isn't a recovery, it is defeat, and defeat isn't an option when you love yourself.

☘️ A game played by fate in which some win and some lose, but no one loses forever; even the unluckiest player will throw a winning number once in a while.

☘️ ... they do not have control over the actions of others. That life is sometimes cruel and that the only thing we can control is how we react; how we pick ourselves up and take the step towards healing.

Life is fleeting, it is temporary, and it should be spent loving the people you choose to let into your life. Everyone who enters your life must leave it eventually. How you choose to spend your time with them is entirely up to you.

This is the fourth book of Savi Sharma that I am reading. Just like other books, she is focusing on the fact that whatever happens in your life never give up. At the end of the day everything is gonna be alright or may be better. All the people we meet in your life journey will definitely have something to do with us. Some may make you happy, sad, some may teach you a lesson, some may encourage you, some may do something crazy.

The main protagonists of the story are Ashray and Janvi. Ashray is into a co operate carrier and Janvi is into modelling, a social media infliencer. They are entirely different in career character and family backgrounds. How they met and supported each other in a tragic period of their lives is the story line. I can't relate with neither Ashray nor Janvi. My dreams and character are different from their's. But there are many like them around us, may be your friend, family, neighbor or anyone you used to know.

What I liked the most in this book is through the character Janvi, the author had tried to convey the worst things that can happen to those who are addicted to social media platforms. Also I loved the relationship between Ashray and his mother. This book is a slow moving and almost predictable one. But a fine read it was. The language used is simple and it is beginner friendly too. Even after reading four books of Savi Sharma, still This is not your story is my personal favourite.

It felt like a replica of validity, simple with no cliffhanger.
It reveals struggle and scenarios of our mundane life.
The storyline is plain, and good for one time read as I do not see myself turning back to this book anytime soon.
The author has focused more on individual life than their love life.

The books also urge us to keep hope and be positive. The book claims to be healing but for me, it was more like being aware of where I'm stepping as a content creator. The writing style could have been better and there were also few events where the story was no longer relatable and far from reality.

While reading do not expect much, and just go with the flow. It will be worthy of a one-time read.

Few extracts from the book.

"Sometimes we fall in love with people because we feel time is moving too quickly"

"Everyone who enters your life must leave it eventually. How you choose to spend your time with them is entirely up to you"

"A choice that possibly meant an incredible amount of sacrifice for her"

Character portrayal is fantastic

The book is an easy read. The kind that simply flows to the next page. The character portrayal is fantastic. Each of them have a dark richness to their lives that makes them so real, ao authentic...

Their struggles look real, their success looks real, their life looks real. The book talks of mental health and so many other important aspects of life... Thoroughly enjoyed reading it...

It's a good read.
Despite being very predictable, its the creative way of author's penning down the thoughts of despair, sacrifice, love and hope through the main characters Jhanvi and Ashray keeps the reader hooked. You have to be willing to accept when you read a book like this with an open mind instead of finding a breakthrough plot.
I would surely recommend this.

I’m amazed, the way author has sketched every character in words! This is one of the best book i read recently. It gave me confidence and strength to be able to hope and dream and be myself and take care of myself and others around me, irrespective of wherever my life would take me. More importantly, it gave me a realisation of why i need to love myself, unconditionally, not-with-standing my failures/tragedies/shattered dreams, for I can’t be truly happy, or content at heart, if I can’t love myself. And accepting myself is the first step towards loving myself. It helped me delve deeper on how to deal with fear of rejection, dealing with a feeling to prove yourself to others, handle relationships, being in the present, and why is it essential to acknowledge mental health issues openly :)

This book is good for those who have forgotten themselves in the hustle and bustle of life and unknowingly become victims of stress and depression. This book also tells us how when we are in stress, we cannot decide what is right or wrong. In this stress, we are hurting not only our family and friends but also ourselves. Even the right thing seems wrong. How different characters come out from the stress ,depression and anxiety and recognize the real meaning of life .

Yet another predictable story. What I liked is her writing style - it is definitely more polished now. The theme was a disturbed state of mental health, and certainly she has been successful in depicting it. The way social media has ruined lives and how people become someone else in order to impress was the character arc of Jhanvi. I read about her husband and his struggles with anxiety. I think she has in a way written their own story as a couple. Because Ashray deals with it too. Saying that because she herself wrote - (ASH) ray/ ish & Jhan/ Sa (Vi)
#ashvi was the hashtag she used. Anyway that's all I can say, again, I fell for the amazing marketing techniques and bought her book. One-time read!
