Science buff and not-so-secret party girl, Jess, is leaving behind the small town of Harroldsworth where she grew up and setting her sights on a prestigious University in Scotland - as far from her snobbish parents as they would allow. Looking for a fresh start, somewhere that she is not known as one of The Adamson Twins or Katherine and David`s daughter, Jess hopes to leave all of the drama from her time attending Braecastle Academy in the past where it belongs. New room-mate, Scarlett, sets her up with a whole new social life whilst drummer, Fred, keeps her entertained in all the ways a hot drummer in a band should but an unexpected meeting with an old friend at a party changes her view on how she wants to spend her time away from home and forces her to analyse some past mistakes. "Jess is an exciting though slightly risky read when compared to the other girls` stories. Her first-person point of view is both honest and intriguing. A brilliant conclusion to the Braecastle Trilogy."
Great ending to the Trilogy. More mature than the previous books but it worked. Definitely worth a read if you like YA books with a little more to them than soppy romance. (Few sex and drug references) Introduced a couple of new characters who were quite fun. Recommend.
