I really try to watch how much I spend on books, because I like them so much that I could spend all my extra money one them. So I try to read a book before I buy it (library, etc.) and only buy it if I know I will read it again.

That said I will be buying this book!

Ellarowan and Caylokan have had shock after shock, but nothing can be as terrifying as finding themselves trapped in Owen's world. Owen on the other hand, just wanted to see his sister again. But they'll all have to work together if they want to get everyone home safe.

Look this book was awesome. But I only just finished it and I'm so annoyed right now, because I wasn't aware that it is definitely not the end of the series. The end of the book teases book three and I'm so disappointed because now I have to wait. And I hate waiting. I would've delayed reading if I'd known. I mean it doesn't exactly end on a cliffhanger - but it also doesn't exactly wrap everything up either and waiting kills me. So there's a lot of answers in this book - but also a hell of a lot more questions.

I really enjoyed the back and forth between different characters and time periods. I enjoyed getting to find out what was going on with Leah from the Dusk Gate Chronicles. I liked Ella and Cay getting more comfortable with one another and trying to find their footing for their marriage. And I loved seeing Owen again. It was good but I'm too busy reeling over the fact that it just ended and there's no more.😞

Notes to remember for when the next book comes out.

At the end, Owen and his girlfriend Lexie, and Ella and Cay, are trying to go through the gate in Montana all together, with Owen's bag of stones that he had dug up at the Bristlecone gate years earlier. Owen and Lexie wind up in Ravensguild, Ella's home, while Ella and Cay wind up at the place where the gang used to wind up when they went through from Bristlecone.

Meanwhile, 15 years earlier, Ella's mother has been wandering around Philotheum, mostly invisible, trying to find maps and a stone so she can go through the gate to get back home. She had recently figured out that when Ella was born she was actually a twin, but the twin was taken away. Turns out she was taken by the bad guys who try to grab everything magic. Lyonet sees the baby, knows it's hers, and trades herself to the bad guys for the baby. The baby grows up to be named Panda.

Never explained is how Lyonet is writing in her magic journal in Philotheum, but it is found in Ella's bicycle basket in Ravensguild. How did it get back there? How did Ella's caretaker know there was a journal that was supposed to go to Ella? Who brought it to her? The sister?

Disappointing

I will begin by saying that I am a fan of this author. Her first 4 Dusk Gate series books were some of the best YA books I've read. However, this book was not on par with her usual smooth flow. It felt choppy, like she kept starting and stopping while writing it, the editing could have helped that but it didn't. She goes on ad nauseum about something that should be cute, or interesting, or at least advance the plot, ( the character's eyes, their reactions to a strange environment, their trust issues with each other and with Owen) but you loose interest because it's the same thing over and over. Ms. Puttroff should get better beta readers and hire an editor, her plots are good, her characters are usually well developed, but this book fell apart because of lack of control. I hope the next book is better, I don't want to give up on her. The spoiler sneak peak reads well, and much more like her normally high quality. I would suggest you read it just to stay current with the character's, but don't expect a lot.

Worlds Collide! Can’t believe the trip Ms. Puttroff’s new book Seeker brought us on. The author has managed to wrap us up again in her fantastic world and exceed all of our expectations. We meet up again with Ella, Cay and Owen when they have the experience of visiting Owen’s world where more surprises arise. Fan’s of Ms. Puttroff’s Dusk Gate Series will love this novel as it show’s us another view to some of the Action happening in those stories by giving us the additional story of Ella’s mother’s journey. Hopefully without giving too much away, the author is beautifully blending her two worlds and I for one can’t wait until the next book to see where the trip takes us. Another Must read!

This is the second book in the series. It is very well written and has characters that are fleshed out and seem real. The world-building is consistent, believable, and makes me think it would be a good place to visit. There are some connections to Putroff's Dusk Gate Chronicles (another excellent series) but this series is largely separate from that one.
I was drawn in immediately and did not want to put Seeker down - it's one of those wonderful books that bring you into it, and make you want more when it ends. Highly recommended!

Oh my gosh

Oh my gosh was all I could hear myself saying while reading. This answers so many questions. Amazing! Now I want to learn how the stones really work. Do they always take you to the same planet, can you pick which portal you come out of, so many questions. How am I going to be able to wait for the next book? At chapter 25 I had an epiphany about Leah and Panda. Wow!

Wonderful!

Book 3 better hurry up and get here! This book stopped at just the perfect time. I couldn't put it down and I couldn't read it fast enough. Ella, Cayloken and Owen make it just fine in Owen's world. He takes great care of them. Owen's friend Lexie comes into the story and ends up being apart the plot twist. I'm interested to see how she fits into the story as well. The Gatekeepers series is a result of more of the author's pure talent! I'm forever a fan.

Super sequel with some creative, surprising and fun twists

This sequel was fun, creative and surprising. The Breeana did a super job fleshing out each of the characters. The story line was interesting and easy to follow even though it bounced back and forth from past to present. I enjoyed reading this story and look forward to the next book.

I can’t wait for #3!

I totally enjoyed the Dusk Gate Chronicles and now this series. I can’t wait for additional books in either series o come out. Even with some of the things that really don’t fit or make sense, they are easy to overlook because the characters are so interesting.

A book full of mystery and intrigue. Owen was such an incredible little boy so it was really good seeing him as an adult. We also learn more about what happened to Lyonet. It’s funny to see Cay, Ella and even Fluffy navigate through a world that is not their own.

Arrgh! Is there anything worse than reading a book you expect to answer all your questions just to find that it ends with a cliffhanger and the next book in the series isn't even published yet!!!
Such books should come with a warning!

Another wonderful page turner.

I waited so long for this second book and the wait was worth it. Breeana, I hope that book 3 is in the works. The suspense is killing me!

I was excited to get another story by this author. It’s been so long since the last book, Traveler, that I didn’t remember what was going on at the beginning. It’s a good story, but some of it was repetitive. What I really didn’t like was how it ended. I’m worried it’ll be another 2 years before the next book is released and I want to finish this story ASAP. I hate big cliffhangers when absolutely nothing is resolved in the storyline. My advice, definitely read the series, but wait until she’s done with the whole thing to enjoy it fully.
