Royal St. James got her name when she was born. Not because her mother loved her royally, but because Royal was a giant pain in the ass. She’s spent her entire life fighting to live, and the last thing she needs is to deal with some pretty-boy police officer who wouldn’t know a hardship if it came up and bit him in the…you know.

Justice Rector wasn’t born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He was raised to work hard and always fight for what he believed in. His father was a cop, and ever since he could remember, he wanted to be one, too.

It was a complete coincidence that he ends up going undercover and meeting Royal St. James. It was just one day, a single moment in time. All routine.

Just do the buy, make the bust, and get out.

But Royal St. James, aptly named, screws everything up. Royally.

All of a sudden, he has a decision to make: blow his cover and save the girl, or save himself.

Of course, he does the most stupid thing possible.

By saving the girl who most assuredly did not want to be saved.

I'm in love with how easy it is to get completely absorbed by a Lani Lynn Vale book. I've been suffering through one heck of a book slump. I'll enjoy a story and as soon as it's done, I'm desperately trying to hold onto that feel-good feeling. I never have to worry about that when it comes to LLV. She's one of my go-tos when I'm stuck and I was beyond thrilled with the story she gave me about Royal and Justice!

Royal was a bag full of trouble and fiercely loyal. She wasn't afraid to speak her mind or stand up against injustice. So when her brother is beaten up for no reason, she's determined to find out who would even dare. Her determination and overall nosiness catches the eye of a deadly foe and interferes with Justice's investigation. He's the only one who can protect her and what was a 'keep the citizen safe' mission quickly turns into the love of a lifetime.
He growled and pulled back, slamming back inside.
And that was literally all it took.
One second, I was normal Royal, and the next I was a completely changed Royal. One that knew the magic of Justice Rector's magnificent, life-changing penis.

I don't even want to speak too much on what was really happening in this book. There was so much good ish that I have no intention of ruining the experience for you. Just know that you'll probably fall in love with these characters as easily as I did. Royal has had it rough and yet still holds onto her positivity, honesty, and integral goodness. Justice is such an amazingly solid man and the perfect man for her. As always, there was a wealth of incredible side characters and I can't wait to read more about Royal's brother, Jimmy.

Royal has a way about her that makes things more complicated than they should be sometimes and her path crossing with Justice wasn’t the exception to that.

I love how she shook up his life and made it so that he was able to move forward. Justice had the makings of a great LLV alpha hero and his family was just what was needed to make it the full package.

The plot was interesting but the focus was more on the development of the couple. Another great addition to the series. Can’t wait for more.

Y’all know I’m addicted to the Alpha men and sassy women Lani Lynn Vale writes, as much as I love them I didn’t think Lani could top some of the original characters when she started writing their kids stories well let me assure you Justice and Royal are some of her best characters yet!
Royal has a tough life, she has a horrible father and a step-mother that makes Cinderella’s step-mother look tame. Royal feels like no matter what she does she isn’t enough or she screws something up. In spite of growing up the way she did, she maintains a kindness and spirit that makes you fall in love with her. Justice, he grew up with the love, guidance and awesomeness of Loki and Channing, you will fall in love with Justice within minutes!

The one person in her family that Royal loves is her brother Jimmy, when Jimmy gets put in the hospital by the neighborhood bad guy Royal decides to find out all she can about the bad guy…which lands her in a world of trouble. Justice works on the same street as Royal and he felt something the first time he ever saw her. When Justice warns Royal about not interfering with what happened to her brother she ignored him, with sass and all. Once Royal is on the bad guy’s radar Justice steps in to protect her and neither can fight the intense chemistry they have even though it may cost one or both of them their lives.

MAKE ME is a hilarious, sweet and fast moving romance. I laughed at the back and forth between Royal and Justice, one of the funniest moments involves Pop-Tarts and had me in tears. Loki and Justice had quite a few LOL moments as did Channing, Loki, Justice and Royal, this cast of characters were amazing together! AND….the KDP hooker boots and uniform are mentioned again which always causes laughter.

MAKE ME is a new favorite LLV book and I have a feeling it will be a new favorite for LLV fans!

5 ‘I Kept Counting’ Stars

O.M.G! Could Make Me be any more beautifully crafted?! NO, it could not! Justice and Royal’s love story checked every single one of my Romance boxes! Lani Lynn Vale keeps on blowing me away with every single book of this, that is now, my all time LLV series! Outstanding!

Ah, prepare yourself for the upcoming raving, which I’ll keep as spoiler free as possible, but my world, these two are now one of my top OTP, so I can't gush enough about them!

See, Royal St. James was a royal fuck-up. A royal pain in the ass. A royal nothing.

I felt sadness deep in the pit of my belly and wondered what it would feel like to never be sad. Would that ever be possible? I wasn’t sure that it would be.

Ms. Vale always creates the most realistic and relatable heroines, so it was no surprise how much I identified myself with Royal, but her depth and inward suffering, her pain, just made more perfect in my eyes. The rawness of her emotions, the insecurity of her feelings, and her passionate manner specially considering her past, made her irresistible and so darn captivating to me. And of course, to our contemporary ‘knight in shinning armor’ Justice.

I was moving through life while only half living it…and then there was you.”

“I thought that you thought I was trouble,” she whispered.
“You are.”

“I want to go to battle for you, Royal,” he said suddenly. “I want to fight these invisible ghosts.

Seriously, this man… Capital Alpha swoonfest all around! They may have had a rocky start, due to his undercover job and circumstances, but the instant attraction and connection was right there even in that first meeting. So when they gave in and embraced Fate, and his chief, lol, demands of proximity at all times, there was no way they could resist that atomic deep chemistry. And once Justice saw through her invisible barriers – which he almost immediately identified – and decided to prove to her just how real and how meant to be they were, oh my heart, he was the very definition of best book boyfriend!

I didn’t try to argue.
I didn’t want to argue.
What the hell was wrong with me?
Arguing was a fun past time to me.
Justice was obviously a Royal tamer.

“That, my boy, isn’t ‘almost.’ You’re full-blown gone for her,”

She was mine. Forever.

As per Lani Lynn Vale’s usual – and winning formula! – she gave us everything we could have wished for in this story: LOL humor, emotional depth, an taunting suspense, steam inducing sexy times, all wrapped up in a epic style LOVE STORY! Oh, and let’s not forget the awesomeness that was to see again our beloved OG LLV couple, Loki and Channing, they were perfectly integrated in his son’s story. Even more satisfying than the parents as secondary characters, I want to stand out the teasingly deliciousness that was Lock, and that hint of who he’s being paired with! I can’t wait! NEED. IT. NOW!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

“I love you.”
The three simple words wiped the laughter right off of her face.
“It’s okay,” I told her when fear replaced the amusement. “I’m not going to stop loving you because you can’t say it back.”

“I love you,” I repeated the words.
One day she’d say them back.
But for now, I’d settle for the looks.

And yes, I kept counting.
Because every ‘I love you’ that came from Royal’s mouth was special.
Every. Single. One of them.

Make Me was another Lani Lynn Vale piece of gold. It was funny and full of the randomness that we can always appreciate. Justice was a piece of epic deliciousness and could only be matched by a woman that had sass in spades. Welcome: Royal St. James. I loved these two together and how well matched they were. There was no end to the amazing banter (this author is known for) between them and their chemistry was HOT. This was another win in the KPD Motorcycle Patrol series!

I loved this story so much because it was as funny as it was sexy and random. Sometimes I feel like anything is game when it comes to this author's stories and anything can come right out of her character's mouths. It usually does. That's what I love the most. Justice was as protective as he was loving and the way he was with Royal was spectacular. All in all, this was a great read and I can't wait for Sinners are Winners. 5 stars! ~Ratula

I am happy to say that I loved this book. The blurb obviously sounded awesome, which is what made me want to read it to begin with, but I haven't had the best luck with this authors most recent books so I was also nervous going into this one. Especially since the last 2 books I read before starting this one were duds.  I was a little afraid I was in a book funk.  But this book was absolutely perfect.

I think this is the 1st time I will have ever said this about the hero of a book, but I swear to god Justice was based on me.  There were so many times that I saw myself in him, that it was unbelievable. I could definitely relate to him being sick with the plague. Every description was straight out of my life. Been there, done that, had the million meds while I felt like death.

I also really like Royal.  My heart just broke for her every time she interacted with her dad. He was horrible. As much as I wouldn't want Justice and Royal to move away from their town, at the same time I really wanted them closer to his parents because they were so great to her that she deserved to have that around her all the time.

There was definitely some amazing chemistry between Justice and Royal. I loved watching them get to know each other, and seeing Justice give up his undercover operation to keep her safe.

I'm really curious about Royal's brother and if he'll get a book.

Final opinion: this book is definitely worth reading!

Romance perfection…

This author is all about family, love and the topsy-turvy reality of daily life. Her characters are sarcastic, grumpy, funny, loving, and irresistible. I even love to dislike the evil ones! The KPD series has been all about that and I can’t get enough….

Royal never had it easy and I ached for the complicated family she had to deal with. She loved them (most of them anyway) so she went above and beyond to make sure they had what they needed. Even if she got the short end of the straw. Despite the hard knocks, she was funny and loyal, and always up for the latest challenge….

Justice was a great character too but in an entirely different way. He was the grumpy part of this duet but deliciously handsome in those KPD uniforms – and absolutely wonderful with Royal. He was going to watch out for her, no negotiations, and he would go above and beyond. For her… The chemistry between was hot and real, making me smile and laugh through it all.

I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED their story and couldn’t wait to finish it so I could start a re-read right away! Keep these stories coming please, keep them coming…

5 SMOOCHES!

I am absolutely loving Lani Lynn Vale’s KPD Motorcycle Patrol series! It’s quickly rising to one of my top favorite series from her. The KPD Motorcycle Patrol series is a next generation series based upon the stories of the children of the lead couples from some of Vale’s early series, like KPD SWAT and Heroes of the Dixie Wardens MC. I’m enjoying catching up with those original characters while getting to know the children from those relationships. For me, sitting down each month with a Lani Lynn Vale book is like catching up with a group of old friends. I’ve been reading her books and these characters’ stories on a monthly basis for so many years now that I’m totally and completely invested in them and this world.

Make Me brings us the story of Justice Rector and Royal St. James. Justice is the son of Loki and Channing from Keys To My Cuffs, the fourth book in the Heroes of the Dixie Wardens MC series. Royal St. James is the estranged daughter of a judge, and she’s a pint-sized, fearless heroine, working as a welder in a shop on the wrong side of the tracks. Justice followed his father’s footsteps into law enforcement, and he was working an undercover operation when Royal, with her fiery red hair and a personality to match, captured his attention.

The natural chemistry between Justice and Royal was instantaneous, and it didn’t take long before they gave in to it. Royal has had a fairly lonely existence, and aside from her relationship with her brother and his mother, she hasn’t had a family to fall back on either. Justice, on the other hand, comes from a tight-knit, loving family, and I loved seeing them interact with each other. Royal is used to being on her own, and she’s fiercely protective of her brother, and it’s precisely that overzealous protective streak that lands her in hot water—and under Justice’s protection. Lani always includes a suspenseful element to her stories, and she didn’t spare the creativity in Make Me with an interesting storyline with some twists and turns.

A fantastic blend of the past and the future, Vale packed the heat, heart and humor into this sweet, sexy and suspenseful romance. Make Me by Lani Lynn Vale gets five smooches from me!

Where there's a hot alpha, there just has to be a sassy sweet heroine. It's just how it should be.

Royal is .. well a royal pain in the ass really. She's fiercely protective with the ones she loves and that right there is what gets her in trouble every.damn.time.

Justice is all about getting justice. It makes sense really because of his job. So just imagine being nose deep undercover and stumbling across Royal whos kneck deep in a shitstorm because she just can't stay clear of trouble..

Saving the girl ment more than just saving her.

These two!!! Gah I can't even with them. This is what I love about Lani's writing.

A love story in the most unconventional circumstances with two people so very opposite it shouldn't work and yet somehow it does. Love, laughter and a whole lota action it's safe to say this story has a little of EVERYTHING. superb characters that are relatable and easy to love. A story that hooks you from the start and takes you on an emotional rollercoaster featuring hilarious shenanigans, super sexy goodness and some real raw feels. AND!!! of course we get to see old faces!!!!. Loki and Channing are life and I'm so happy we get to see them all grown still loving eachother just as hard as was in their story.

Another fabulous addition to her ever growing empire of fiction greatness. Lani nails it ever damn time.

Royal St. James has a rotten life and family. She’s never really been loved by anyone except her brother Jimmy and she’s always blamed for everything. She constantly sacrifices to make others happy and never takes anything for herself. But, she’s a fighter.

Justice Rector was raised to work hard and to fight for the underdog. Following in his father’s footsteps as a cop, Justice is undercover. But, he blows the entire operation in order to save Royal’s life. While he was attracted to her from the start, once he actually met and got to know her, it was way too easy for him to need her in his life forever.

Make Me was a phenomenal love story. It’s high on suspense, family drama and feel good romance. The plot is fast moving and I loved not only watching this couple fall in love, but also seeing the bad guy go down and Royal’s POS father get what’s coming to him as well.

This was a feel good story. While Royal is delightfully Sassy, Justice is all alpha and an absolute champion when it comes to loving and protecting Royal . . . no matter what the cost. Make Me will leave you feeling good and believing in romance! 5 stars!

Justice just loves surprisimg his woman, "apparently, based solely on the look of wonder on her face, it was a good choice. “I. Love. Food. Trucks,”she declared breathily. My lips twitched." Royal is quite unfiltered and I loved it, “so are you a boob man, or an *** man?” I found myself asking..." I loved this book, I adored Rebel and Justice.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SERIES! Royal had a difficult childhood but is living life on her own terms. Through those terms, she ends up in a situation with Justice, who is actually undercover. As the pair keep accidentally meeting, it then puts her in danger and he has to choose her or the job. Acting on the attraction the pair have, they are forced together out of protection and get to know each other where the feelings develop and grow. But when Justice’s undercover job continues to threaten Royal’s life, the pair have decisions to make that hopefully will keep each other alive and together. I honestly love the character of Royal! My heart breaks for her past as well as her relationship with her father, but her devotion to her brother just adds to her character. I also love her personality – she’s definitely scrappy and headstrong, which is really what gets her into the position she gets into. I think that her and Justice are the perfect pair and compliment each other personality-wise. The fact that Justice hates Royal’s father without even meeting him just based on what he’s done to his daughter makes me love him even more. On top of that, the ending of this book was GOLD! I went back and forth from hysterically laughing to queasy all in one epilogue! Per usual, can’t get enough of Lani Lynn Vale’s books and I can’t wait for the next one in this series!!

I’m completely in love with Justice. Shut up and stop judging me for saying I’m in love with every hero Lani Lynn Vale writes. I can’t help it. It’s out my my hands. Really, you should blame her for making such irresistible men. Make Me is one of those books that puts you through the wringer. Not in the nonstop ugly cry way, but in that hit you in the feels over and over in myriad of different emotions kind of way. I’m not exaggerating when I say I laughed, I raged, I swooned and I teared up. I did all that and more while reading Royal and Justice’s story.
First of all Royal is amazeballs. She’s got that signature sass that I love from Lani’s heroines but on top of that she’s also one heck of a strong woman with a big heart. To say her family life and past has been heartbreaking is an understatement. Thy doesn’t stop her from being an genuine loving person for even a second though. Then Justice. Sweet, sexy, steal my heart in 2.5 seconds Justice. Coming in and showing Royal exactly what it is to be loved I swear I had hearts in my eyes constantly because of that man.

When you are the "screw up" child of a prominent man, you know that you are to lay low. No one needs to know you are there. No one needs to hear you speak. Just stay unnoticed. Royal has a really hard time being the quiet girl in the corner when she knows that something isn't right.

After her brother is attacked by a local drug dealer, Royal continuously sticks her nose where it doesn't necessarily belong. She is warned off of the trail by the hot mechanic down the street but she is a woman that does what she wants, when she wants. Imagine her surprise when the mechanic is not just a mechanic.

"Fuck. My. Life. The man I had the hots for was a cop. I had the hots for a cop!"

I LOVED this book. Royal has her flaws for sure but she is one tough woman and seeing her come into her own with Justice was awesome! Another hit from LLV!!

I'm never gonna get enough of Lani Lynn Vale's books! Every book I read just makes me fall more in love with her books.
This book was no different. Royall was another badass heroine that you will so want to be BFF's with. And her and Justice together, LOL... You will love it.
Justice is undercover and then this girl comes out of nowhere, what should he do, ignore her or blow his cover. And what do you think happened from there... I mean he is a 'Lani' hero...

You will love everything about this story. The awesome back and forth banter, the angst, the suttle suspense, everything you would expect from a Lani Lynn Vale book. If you have never read any of her books, start at the beginning you wont be sorry!

I just knew that any kid with Loki and Channing as parents would turn out to be an incredible human being. Justice is the perfect blend of his parents, fierce, loyal, protective and with a heart of gold. Royal is not at all a blend of her parents, which only makes her stronger, even in times when she feels weak. Polar opposite childhoods for this couple, Justice has parents who love him...Royal does not and Justice plans to make sure that she never has to wonder if she is loved again. Drama, love, and steamy sex scenes are just a few of my favorite things that LLV gives me along with all the alpha and insta love that I crave from her characters, and Justice and Royal are no exception.

I love Lani Lynn Vale books and this one is really fun story.
Royal is fun loving girl, a very loyal girl. Justice is a harder worker who always fights for what is right.
This was a fast paced tale and full of fun. Justice and Royal had great chemistry and the sexual attraction was of the charts. Royal was a terrific gal but is was shame her terrible father couldn’t treat her with a bit a respect that she was due. Justice was a wonderful character, very reliable.....I would have loved to have seen him in his tight uniform trousers, they sounded very HOT.
A nice story, great writing. I highly recommend this book!

5 Royal Pain Stars

Royal St. James may be a pain in the a$$, but I absolutely adored her. Feisty, loyal, and too nosy for her own good, her mouth tends to keep her in trouble constantly. When her nosiness gets her noticed by the wrong man, Justice Rector has to break his cover to save her. I loved these two together. Their chemistry and banter is something all couples should strive to have. Throw in the steaminess of their sexy times, the laugh out loud moments that are a given from LLV, and that touch of suspense makes Make Me another fantastic read in the KPD series.

Make me🤩

Book four in the KPD motorcycle patrol series is here and features Justice and Royal😍 Royal is a welder and works in a bad part of town, but she has the day off and checks in on her brother Jimmy, who’s paralysed from the waist down. Royal bumps into Justice a few times in the bad part of town and eventually Justice reveals who he is and what he’s doing in that part of town❣️

Loved this story and I hope we eventually find out more about Jimmy and the girl from the diner😁 Looking forward to Lock’s story next💕

This book had to grow on me. I was ambivalent about both Royal and Justice for a while. It was only as Royal opened up about how she was treated that I really started to like her. I loved that she could be so open and nice despite of what happened, but the best thing was how Justice reacted, not once, not twice, but all the time by words and actions he showed he had her back, something Royal sorely needed in her life.

Make Me was a great story. And I loved the fact that there was no "family comes together at the end" cliché with heroine's father.
But there was also a final twist that confused the hell out of me. I'm not exaggerating here. I still really don't understand what happened, how that happened and why some people were there and some weren't and who was who and... I think you get what I am getting at. *snort, snort*
