Designed for students taking their first course in the law of federal income taxation, this book shows the development of American tax concepts in an uncomplicated factual setting. Updates the first edition which was published in 1990.
I read this book when I was attending Ohio Northen University, Pettit College of Law, and in Professor Haight's class. He was a fantastic professor, had a great, wry sense of humor. This book was the beginning of my love for taxes--not necessarily paying them, but really loving the gestalt, the whole concept and its functioning. The book is easily read and understandable, but in an enlightening way.
