With Christmas just around the corner, Mattie and Peter open their hearts for the greatest gifts of the forgiveness and maybe even love.

Melting Hearts by Kathleen Fuller
This story starts out with Maddie and she's moved in with her uncle to help her aunt run the bakery.
It's around Christmas and she keeps busy with decorating the shop and baking and crocheting.
This I find fascinating as most just knitted that I've read about. Peter is due to also move in to help with improvements to the bakery.
The aunt is on bed rest now and she avoids Peter and he tries to avoid her also. Her freckles all over her face really get to him.
She's mad at him for something he did to Lizzie-a friend of Maddie's. She will learn the real story soon...
Love hearing of the craft/yarn store.
Very warm feeling when I hear of her teaching him how to wind yarn and the lessons she gives to the aunt...
Love that she also makes scarves for others in the winter for charity.
Love when she finds out for herself just how good of a friend Lizzie is to her. Her and Peter had a truce and are now friends.
Like the ending, didn't see it coming out this way.

Good Reading

This is one of your better stories you have written. But I enjoy reading all the books you write, they seem to bring right in the story and make me want to be an Amish person.

Melting Hearts is a truly inspirational story written by Kathleen Fuller in the An Amish Christmas Bakery. The author has done an excellent job choosing her characters. They are extremely likeable and draw you into the story. I loved the storyline as it moved along quickly keeping my interest.

Mattie is a very loving young Amish woman who despises Peter Kaufman. When she learns he will be spending time in Birch Creek helping her uncle build an addition she is very Leary about the outcome. Peter believes Mattie to be a sharp tongued woman. But as they learn what is behind their ill feelings for each other they can start to become friends. The arguments and drama will keep you wondering if this will ever happen. The author shows thru her story you can't always listen and believe others no matter how close a friend you believe them to be. This is an amazing story filled with forgiveness.

I was not given a complimentary copy of this book to read and review. I was not approached to post a favorable response. All opinions are my own. I have rated this story with five stars for meeting my expectations of a wonderful story that I can highly recommend.

Congratulations to Kathleen Fuller for writing an empowering story for her readers enjoyment.

Mattie has gone to help her aunt run her bakery after several of her helpers have left. Her Uncle Store is putting an addition in the bakery and hires Peter to help not knowing Mattie can't stand Peter. Sparks fly as Mattie pulls out all her complaints against Peter for breaking her best friend's heart but are the charges true? Peter, for his part, doesn't want to talk about his relationship with her friend, Lizzie, but is he doing her any favors? A sweet read.

This is such a sweet story I loved how they were both willing to help and how things turned out. A good lesson that sometimes things aren’t what they seem and that true forgiveness can be a great gift. A lovely Christmas story perfect for the holiday season. This is one of my favourite in the Amish Christmas Bakery series.
