Everyone knows. My secret is out. Saving them, I had to unmask who I am. Now that I've been outed, things keep spiraling out of control. The new threats lurk in places we can’t see. When an unknown enemy comes, I’m the only thing that can stop it. As Death, I have to learn my name doesn’t just mean dying. With my known generals at my side, I knew I had a circle I could trust. But… could I trust them all? What if betrayal sat closer than I thought? What would my heart do when the truth came out? It’s hard being a Horseman, but I’ll do whatever it takes to save the ones I love. Even if it means killing someone I love to save the others.

Ahhhhh, Raven is so awesome. I loved this book, it’s well thought out, supernatural, and so freaking hot! Check it out, but I recommend starting at the beginning with the 8th transgressors series!
Loved that ending. And can I just say I demolished Raven’s two books within a couple days. Now I do feel like these two books could have been one but I still loved them. And I cant’t wait to find out what happens next.
So I’m the beginning Raven and Gabe save the school, Letum sacrifices himself and Aric saves any students or shadowmen that were affected by the mist. Talk about a killer day. It takes Raven 8 days to recover and within that time students pretty much figure out who she is. And now their is some kind of ghostly thing giving Raven glimpses of who is behind everything. Even though us, as the reader, have probably already figured out its Jace.
But what we didn’t know for sure is that it was Rosie too. With Will to take the place of mastermind. And I totally guessed Will was the “bad guy” even though he was more like the gullible guy because he wanted power where he didn’t have any. Typical powerless kid situation. But Raven shows him a kindness he wasn’t expecting and helped him at least want to be on her side when it all calm down to it.
Rosie of course exhibited your typical I’m a jealous crazy bootch side and in the end it got her killed. I was kind of bummed Ravens dragon didn’t get to bite her head off though. That would have been perfect and oh so glorious. I also loved that we still got to see Octavia’s crazy side with the castrations and circumcisions she performed on the boys who raped Raven after she died.
Now something I didn’t expect at all was that Raven was a Soul Sucker. And to me that was a skill she could have been honing her whole life instead of being sheltered from it. But again Sevrin is an overprotective helicopter dad who needs several thousand chill pills.
And lastly, Letum stays!!! I was hoping but I wasn’t sure. You know it could have really gone either way. And had his brother’s not given him permission to stay I don’t think he would have. But all the same I’ve always liked his sneaky ways so I’m happy he is staying. Although I do kind of hope he F**** up at least once so I can see what Octavia will do to him. I know I know. It will be freaking awesome 👏!!!!! And totally worth it. At least on my part.

This is a continuation of Raven's story! So I personally had some idea of where part 2 woild lead us and I was dead wrong in the BEST way. Raven never loses her loving and strongwilled self. Her generals and mates are all perfect in their own way. If you think she ends up with a harem that mirrors her mother's, I suggest you get to reading so you see just how wrong you are. This duet was everything and I cannot WAIT for her sisters' stories!
I loved The Eighth Transgressor series. Was nervous if she could top it with the spinoffs. First off, this is nothing like Octavia’s story. The men are extremely different too. I loved seeing Ashley Amy be able to write such diverse people in all her books. The story is just as mysterious as her others. She leaves you trying to figure it out, but blows your mind. I absolutely loved this and cannot wait for the next daughter duet.
I really enjoyed this book, concluding Raven's arc. Character and plot development were on point, with some unexpected twists. Raven is a great female main character who I really liked for her protective side as well as the fierceness when that protectiveness comes to play.
I can honestly say that I went into this duet not thinking I would like it and fell in love. I normally hate reading spin off of series so I went into this with a lot of skepticism but it hooked me! I can’t wait to read the other sister books!!!
Whew! I was worried. I didn't know how this story would play out and therefore it took me a minute to delve in but so glad I did. Raven will always hold a tinge of mystery.
It was a great duet. It had several heartbreaking moments, hoping a future book can rectify a couple of those moments. Well, off to the next book in the series.
