While the premise of the storyline was interesting, this book would have been so much more enjoyable without all of the gangster slang. The characters were well developed but once they opened their mouths the trash talk took away everything that they could have been. Unfortunately what could have been great totally missed it.

LIKE I UNDERSTAND NOT TRUSTING SOMEONE WORDS BUT THAT MAN MEECH WAS ALL ABOUT THAT ACTION AND SHE ALMOST LOST OUT BEING CHILDISH😔
I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT MEECH. I WANTED TO DO WHATEVER WAS NEEDED TO RELIEVE DECEMBER OF SOME OF NOT ALL OF THE STRESS IN HER LIFE. SHE WASN’T THE KIND OF WOMAN THAT HE USUALLY WENT FOR, BUT HE LIKED THE FACT THAT SHE WASN’T THROWING HERSELF AT HIM, LOVED AND HUSTLED HARD TO MAKE SURE THAT HER AND HER SIBLINGS DIDN’T GET SEPARATED EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD TO GO WITHOUT AT TIMES. Great Read
I applaud December for her strength and resilience. After the death of her mother at such a young age. She chose to take on responsibility for her two younger siblings. Struggling, dealing with bullying, and barely making ends meet. She kept her head held high although at one point she was at a breaking point. Meech was heaven sent. True enough he was attracted to and smitten with December. However his genuine heart and need to help her and her siblings came first. It wasn't easy getting December to accept it help because of her pride and she felt nothing was given for free. December had to learn that there are still genuine people out there. When I saw that Carlita was Meech cousin. I knew December was going to her chance to hit Carlita silly ass in the mouth from all the s**t she talked and tried to bully her in school. Meech father was wrong for blurting out how she one that raffle for that house.

Meech and December
This was a good Christmas read. Meech is the man. From the jump he did nothing but want better for December and her siblings without her feeling like a charity case. It was working till his dad opened his big mouth about the contest for the less fortunate. I'm glad he was man enough to apologize to December and try to repair the relationship with his son. I'm glad December gave Meech a second chance even though he had to crack a skull😂😂😂. I love Meech's mother Dawn.💌💌

It’s really 3.5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ for me
The 3.5 rating is because of December’s pridefulness. Technically if you’re getting social security for 2 kids, and you’re working and you’re obviously not spending any money on shoes for anyone then why is your lights being turned off? Make it make sense. Anyway, even with all of that you’re praying to GOD for a blessing then when he sends the blessing you let your pride get in the way? Again, make it make sense. On a different note, I love MREACH and the kids. They were all sweethearts.

Sometimes when life knocks you down, you stay down feeling like there’s no way out! December’s resilience showed just how much STRENGTH she has even when she’s prideful! It took a strong person to knock down those Fort Knox walls that she built. I love me some GINA baby she’s the definition of a true friend one who not gonna tell you what you want to hear but give it to you straight and raw! She’s a true Ryder!!

Loved Meech he was just genuine and want the best for December and her siblings. Mrs. Dawn and Gina were real ones and I love it. I was so annoyed when December just couldn't get a break but Big Meech handle that, lol when she finally two pieced Carlita. I hope we get an update on them.

Great Holiday Romance!!
After reading second book from this NTMA, I’m hooked!! Love how there just the right amount of ratchetness but doesn’t go overboard. December was a great woman, daughter and sister, but almost let her pride make her miss out on her blessing. Loved how Meech broke down her pride to get to their happiness.

So how you bump a person with your car and they fall for you? That should be the question. December definitely has walls built around her heart. But Marquis aka Meech does all he can to knock that wall down. The way he goes about it is priceless. This is a good read!

Great read I love how December took care of her siblings. I love how although they struggled they all stuck together and had a great supportive friend Gina. Mr man came along and stole her fears and showed her what happens when you meat real one. I need a book 2 because the ending was left with answers I need lol

I loved everything about this book! The characters were really enjoyable to read and I can't wait to read another book by this author. This was my first time reading one by her and I didn't know what to expect but it it exceeded my expectations. December is such a relatable character and I enjoyed seeing her get everything that she deserved in life.

This was a cute yet heartfelt story. December didn’t have it easy at all. Meech was definitely her hero! I love the dynamics of things that transpired in such a small timeframe. The plot was straight to the point!

My only complaint is that I wish it was longer. For those saying she was too prideful, I disagree. She accepted his help from the beginning but the house and how she found out was messed up. I think she handled everything the way I would’ve 🤷🏾♀️😂

Unrealistic
December was really unrealistic in her stubbornness in regards to not accepting help. I just don't think a person that has gone though as nuch financial hardship as her would be as willing to turn down help. Otherwise it was a decent read
