Matt Drake #22

Four Sacred Treasures

Rate this book
When the ultra-powerful heir of an ancient line of shinobi warriors sees her dynasty crumbling, she turns to a renowned myth in an effort to change her fortunes. The Sacred Treasures of Japan are more than relics to its people; they are the Imperial Regalia and have achieved a legendary divine status.

But the treasures on display in the museums are fakes; the real ones long lost.

In Hawaii, Matt Drake and his team are attacked by covert shinobi fighters. Afterward, with friends abducted, the team have only one option: Travel to Japan and unravel the mysteries that veil the Three Sacred Treasures and a secret, mythical fourth.

The team must infiltrate Mai’s old clan, the vicious and deadly Tsugarai ninjas, in a desperate effort to save the lives of their friends and embark on a perilous quest to locate the treasures in such notorious places as the Devil’s Sea – a Japanese Bermuda Triangle – and The Land of the Dead.

In their deadliest confrontation yet, Drake and his team face shinobi warriors, the shadow royals of Japan, and an ancient line of Samurai in an epic quest to acquire the Three Sacred Treasures whilst solving clues that lead to a fourth—the unique source of some of the greatest myths of East and West that have baffled relic hunters for centuries.

Another marvellous episode for the Strike Force team. This time ninja's have abducted several members of the team, so Drake and his buddies are off to Japan to rescue them. They find themselves caught up in the race to find the four sacred treasures of Japan, not easy when you find yourselves not only up against the ninjas, but mercenaries and samurai as well. This time the team really have their work cut out for them and it all comes to a head in a raging battle not only against countless enemies, but the terrain as well!

This series is a lot of fun, and this book doesn't let David Leadbeater's followers down. If you want a lot of escapism and action I can’t recommend this series highly enough. I'm waiting the next installment with baited breath.

Bloody Brilliant!

This book was great it had all the elements that I love in a David Leadbeater book. Fast pace action, historical references, puzzle solving, fighting, and finally tying up some loose ends with our storyline and taking out the bad guys. I highly recommend that you give this author a try, you will be very happy you did. Thank you for using Kindle Unlimited.

Thank God!

This, much to my delight, was a new and original Drake story. It didn’t involve the Blond King, it was an intriguing idea for the bad guy in the novel. While chasing a myth and legend, the Strike Force team is pushed beyond their limits to save artifacts once more, but it was new and original and I enjoyed it very much.

Bravo

After taking a weird little side trip in Matt Drake book 21, The Faberge Heist, David Leadbeater gets back on track in fine fashion with Four Sacred Treasures.
The action sequences are spellbinding and the character development continues to be fascinating.
It’s another winner in a long line of excellent books in the Matt Drake series.

This was excellent! It got Ma's revenge against the Tsarski and helped save a young warrior and her family. Saved the 4 treasures of Japan and forced Zuki into capture. The team did great job staying together. Dino lost his hand but maybe they can do something with that!! Best chapter yet. 10 stars plus!!!! Thanks Carl Clause

I have to say this is one of the best David Leadbeater books I have read, It takes off at break neck speed and doesn't slow down until the final page. The team are ambushed whilst on a break by an enemy equal to their own skill sets. from then on its a race to find said treasures splitting the team after 3 members are kidnapped and held. Mai faces her biggest test to date and the final epic battle at the end makes "Custers Last Stand" seem like a tea party. Taking a quick breather before diving into the next book !! Thanks David

They Fight to Keep All Free

Four Sacred Treasures (Matt Drake Book 22) by David Leadbeater is superb! It is amazing to me that each of the 22 books is so spectacular. Many of the characters have been involved throughout. To get the most out of this 5 star book, one should really start with book 1 to be current with the back story throughout the exciting series.

Drake and team are back, this time fighting for imprisoned friends and hunting for list Japanese treasures. Good fast moving story as usual, but the team dynamic does not seem as good as in earlier books.
