This short prequel introduces two characters, Ewan & Tam, of the Shard & Shield series. It tells of their first meeting which was entirely accidental. I recommend it be read it first so as to have that insight.

Great Introduction to a Series

Two societies in conflict, two men searching for peace. This is a wonderful introduction to the fantasy action series The Shard & Shield. This tale is well written and flows well. I will read more of Laura’s books.

Quick and brutal, but as well-written as the rest of the series. I loved seeing how Ewan and Tam met!

An interesting prequel that shows more of how the Circle works and shows a younger Ewan being brought into power.
