Witch Myth: A Yew Hollow Cozy Mystery- Book 0 by Alexandria Clarke is a terrific fantasy short book! It takes a great writer to put in complex characters, a terrific plot, murder, adventure, twists, lots of surprises, ghosts, witches, magic, and lots of action in 80 pages! Great job, I am hooked on this prequel and will definitely read more in this series!

'Witch Myth' was a great start to what looks like a great series. This novella pulled me in and left me wanting more. The storyline was intriguing. I love a great witch story and this one fit the bill. Morgan was an awesome lead. I love her snarky attitude and her sunny disposition was fun. I look forward to reading more of this series. A great add to your tbr list.

I loved the start of the Morgan Summers trilogy. Hoping it is as good as the Christmas one, but I honestly think that this series should have been first.

I have finished this short book: A Witch Myth, and am into the second book.

The first book introduces the witches coven in Yew Hallow, which is a town founded by a witches coven hundreds of years ago. One of the witches has come home, because she has lost her job. She quickly finds a dead young woman, who has been murdered by someone using dark magic. She is found with the body, and the town's people think she is the murderer. Next came the hunt for the real murderer, and who was using dark magic.

I loved this book! I want to live in this town!!!! I got totally taken away into their world! Super fun read! I highly recommend it to anyone that likes paranormal, witchcraft, or cozy mystery stories!!! Thank you for taking me away for a while. I would so gladly live in the world you've created!! The only thing I could complain about is.. I wish it had been a longer story. Thus the 4 not 5 stars.

Stunning tale. Must read.

This book blew me away. The tale chronicles the Summers coven, who fled Salem in the 1700's and found sanctuary in a spiritually rich area.
The attention to details, scenery and imagery are flawless. Clarke spun a believable, emotional story that left me wanting to know more. That or directions so I can visit Yew Hollow myself.

A witchie book with some substance.

I really enjoyed this book. It had humor, compassion, love and hate. It also had our heroine reluctantly returning to the fold of a family of witches. Witches, ghost, and a power hungry villain keep your interest peaked.

Morgan Summers returns to Yew Hollow after ten years of trying to make it as a medium. She finds everyone at the town meeting and the a body at the YewTree. Now she is considered a suspect, not the homecoming she was hoping for. Things go from bad to worse when she finds herself trapped in the other world. How can she help her coven from there?

This is a wonderfully written cozy Witchy mystery that is action-packed and full of harrowing surprises. The characters are amazing, unique and personable. Each witch has a different power. How they interact and help each other is what makes the story great. The story line is creative and filled with interesting twists, unexpected turns and surprises, keeping you glued to the story.
The family is so important to the coven and the willingness to sacrifice for each other and the greater good, along with individual member interactions, provides the emotional drama. The action scenes are well crafted. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more in the series.

Witch Myth Yew Hollow (A Witch Myth Cozy Mystery #1) was a great read by Alexandria Clarke. This set consists of books 0-2 in the Witch Myth: Yew Hollow series. Witch Myth: A Yew Hollow Cozy Mystery- Book 0 was a great read by Alexandria Clarke. Morgan Summers hates to talk to ghosts. The victim of a ghastly murder asks for her help and Morgan can't say no. Unfortunately she finds herself blamed for the murder and the town is out to get her. Witch Myth: A Yew Hollow Cozy Mystery, Book 1 was a great read by Alexandria Clarke. A client claims that her dead husband is trying to kill her. Morgan Summers' new job as a paranormal detective starts with a bang. Morgan must dive headfirst into her own family's past. Witch Myth: A Yew Hollow Cozy Mystery, Book 2 was a great read by Alexandria Clarke. Morgan Summers is trapped in the otherworld and knows she's in for a wild ride. Her enemy raises the dead back in Yew Hollow. She forges unlikely alliances and battles through the afterlife for a mythical weapon. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by the author.

I read the first series about the Yew Witches and loved it, so much so I was sad when I finished then I was so very very happy to find that Ms Clarke continues the story with a grown up Gwen. Gwen is a now grown woman, as a 16 year old she ran away to Yew Hollow after seeing a report about Morgan Summers on the news. Like Gwen, Morgan can see the dead and have a special bond. This is a wonderful cozy read, for a day at the beach or a day just relaxing in the back yard. The characters are not overly complex, while they are witches they are presented like your friends or neighbors, no over the top spells, or romances, no sex which was a great plus for me. I am thrilled to find an author who doesn't seem to think there needs to be a sex scene in every chapter. I love Ms Clarkes writing style and I am addicted to her books now.

Part of the problem is that some of those trapped in the otherworld might be good guys, relatively speaking- or at least before they were trapped in unending darkness.

Another part of the problem is that some of those who were allegedly raised were more puppets or golem like - tools of the creepy dude who pulled their strings.

What happens when what was once just a scared kid who wanted to go home wages a zombie apocalypse? Mystical tools and weapons might help, but sometimes basic and elemental connections are the most powerful things.

Epic battles waged on a stage where efforts are made to keep normals out of the loop.

Our heroine is new in town and immediately stumbles across a dead body. What's worse is she able becomes the prime suspect.

This is a cozy mystery with a paranormal bent in that our heroine is a witch who can interact with the dead. The story is very well written and populated with a diverse mix of interesting characters. The paranormal aspect and the interactions with the dead make this a bit more macabre than some other cozies, but no less enjoyable in my opinion. The plot is engaging and features plenty of twists and turns which keep you guessing. Overall, I found it to be a highly enjoyable read.

Highly recommended.

This novella is another excellent entry in the Witch myth (Yew Hollow) series. Yew Hollow is a town that was established by a family of witches (the Summers) back in the days of the Salem witch trial. Now the town is partly witch, and partly regular folks. What happens if you're a Summers witch who has been away from Yew Hollow for years, and seek to return home? The night you return home you're accused of mudering one of the regular folks! And then, not only must you prove your innocense, but because you're a witch who can communicate with the dead, you have to help the victim find peace! Excellent read!

This is much more intense than your typical cozy mystery. There's a sort of prologue at the beginning followed by another story. The second story was set up more like your typical mystery but it takes a hard turn.

The plot sort of meandered a little and the pacing was very strange. One of the biggest twists seems to come out of nowhere. The writing overall is nice though and I enjoyed the imagery.

I'm not sure if I enjoyed this book or not but it was very engaging and I had to finish it.

The book includes themes of graphic murder and sacrifice, domestic violence and abuse, and mentions of self harm. I would avoid this if anyone of those themes are potentially upsetting to you.

A very good story about a girl who left her hometown and then returned to find some changes. There were more things that stayed the same. On her first night back however, she found a dead body. Morgan has the ability to see and talk to ghost. The ghost of the dead girl has come to find out what happened to her. The story has a surprise ending of who and why they did it. I will be reading more about Yew Hollow.

Alexandria Clarke has created a wonderful magical world in Yew Hollow and now she introduces us to other dimensions. With fabulous characters and a creative storyline, she keeps us turning the pages as we read about evil vs good, intrigue, mystery, and the paranormal.

I cannot wait to read more in this series.

“On Christmas morning, I rolled over beneath my fuzzy white fluffy ...”
And so the story starts. I had to rewind it five times to make sure I heard it right.
The writing continues to be quirky. So if you’re in a mindless mode or need something distracting ... this could be for you.
Definitely not for anyone who will cringe at amateur writing, dialogue, plot ... you catch my drift.
Imagine Scooby Doo level of intelligence with less charm.

While most reviews loved this novella, I simply could not get into it. Maybe I have read too many similar in nature; young witch goes home again, gets blamed for a murder, sees the murder victim's ghost, must find out who did it, and save her family from being cast of the town.

I figured out who the main culprit was, but was surprised who he had manipulated into doing the actual murder itself. The ending was abrupt and disappointing, but this is only my opinion.

This is more of a short novella, so of course I wished I could have gotten more about some of the characters, but for what it is, it was good.

Editing was much better in this story than in the Witch Myth Wildfire series (as in, I've started to wonder if the second series was rushed to publication and perhaps editing was skipped).

This really felt like two stories wrapped into one book, especially with the title of one of the meddle chapters being "In which our story begins." That said, they were both wonderful heart filled adventures with an interesting take on the afterlife. You can't go wrong with Yew Hollow.

Intriguing start

This is an intriguing start to a mystery series. I like the characters, well aside from the "bad guy," and enjoyed this prequel that sets the stage for what comes next.

I am reading the box set, but thought I would review the books as I read them. I think this story was a good introduction to the series. The plot was pretty intense for a cozy mystery, but I am hooked!

This was essentially two books in one. Writing was good. The two plots were a bit too similar except the second one had a long rabbit hole in the Otherworld that didn't necessarily add a bunch to the plot. It was creative though.

WOW

What a Ride! A lengthy story of a witch coming into her own. Maturing and saving her self, sisters and coven from obscurity. Many twists, not expected, in this engaging read. World building is phenomenal. Highly recommended.
