Written in 1607 by Wilhelm Fabry (1560-1634), known as the "father of German surgery," De Combustionibus covers the classification, prognosis, and treatment of burns. Originally in Latin, the book was translated into German in 1615 and into English in 1642 by London surgeon John Steer. That translation may be accessed at https://quod.lib.umich.edu/e/eebo/A41...
