I saw the boss but not the arrogance! Julian turned out more than just fine! He was a great character!!!
Regarding Emily, I can’t say that I liked her way of thinking. She might had been a good sister but as a girlfriend didn’t score high points.
It was a sweet story but didn’t bring out strong emotions or sparks.

This was cute and cliche and just what I needed. I have not read a workplace romance in a while and I would say this definitely scratch the itch I had. Though in the title it says arrogant boss I can say Julian was literally the sweetest. The way he was always so sure in Emily and was patient so he does not scare her away was so cute. Emily was brilliant and although at times I was annoyed with how she kept doubting the relationship with Julian I understood as well. I’m glad the third act was nothing stupid and was able to be resolve quickly. Anyways this was a fun read ☺️

Konusuna bakınca dedim ki; ah yine klasik otoriter patron- dik başlı çalışan hikayesi...Ama değildi...
Julian karakterini gerçekten sevdim.Ben zenginim, güçlüyüm, herkes kapımda el-pençe divan modunda değildi.Aksine gayet anlayışlı, mantıklı yer yerde romantikti.
Emily karakteri de bir iki detay dışında sevimli ve eğlenceliydi.Kardeşi ile olan ilişkisini, özverisini takdir ettim.Takıldığım tek nokta bir fikre tutunup onda takılı kalması idi...
Sanırım hemen hemen her kitapta sevmediğim olay, yaşanmamış bir olayın yaşanma ihtimalini düşünüp ona göre kendini geride tutmaları.
Neymiş efendim birlikte olmaları çok zormuş...

Even though this book was only 292 pages long I felt like it was 1000 more... It was so slow I might have fallen asleep a couple of times.

I am not even writing anything longer now as I feel this book has taken enough of my time already.

Finding a new author that is able to create a romance novel that leaves you swooning for more gets two thumbs up in my book. I thought "Arrogant Boss" was cute story about a tech savvy millionaire and his new marketing guru that dealt with the everyday struggles of fighting their attraction then eventually falling in love with little to none drama. Definitely not the best of the best and I will admit it lacked the oomph to really step it up a notch but overall still cute enough to keep me reading to the end.

The heroine is pretty annoying at first because she first said no she doesn’t want to and then she melts away and said yes. But the most annoying part is that she always IN BETWEEN. NOT SO SURE ABOUT HERSELF! ALWAYS IN BETWEEN YES AND NO. YES I WANT HIM BUT NO. If the heroine is my bestie i will literally strangle her 😂



‼️‼️‼️LOVE IN FIRST SIGHT i think especially for the hero because he said he felt something different inside of him when he first saw the heroine. The first meet was actually very funny in my opinion 😂😂😂 the hero was so full of himself and the heroine just snaps at him.

She even said sorry many times when she realize what she did was totally wrong and she will never do that again the pushing away and have doubts about their relationship...

And little jealous from the heroine... only twice.

But both have been celibate for a long time...

Pasts partner mention but because they were talking about their past and the heroine meet her ex when the hero was about to have a meeting with them. What a coincidence!




‼️‼️‼️AT FIRST their relationship was a big secret because THE HEROINE WANTED THAT WAY.... he even said to her: “I haven’t dated anyone since I met you, AND I WON’T IF YOU WON’T.”

“But i can’t wait for the day you’re more. I’ll make sure the whole world know you’re mine.”

And in the end she realize she needs to make it official.

I want to give this story a 5 stars but because the heroine is very annoying and kind pushing the hero away quite few times and the their love was not too awww for me too be honest guys... so i give it 4 stars. But it was a good story especially with the happy ending wow

A bit boring.The Boss is not arrogant at all although the h keeps thinking that.A bit of prejudice from her side and tons of patience from him.
Couldn't get past the errors in this book.She goes to his room, he touches her leg and puts his hand inside the pant leg of her slacks.A few minutes later, same hotel room, she open the zipper to her skirt and let's it fall(wondering what she was really wearing? Yeah, me too!!)Next morning she gets dressed and pulls on her
... you guessed it...JEANS.
At the end of the book she sends him a photo with a long black dress she picked to wear to an event.2 pages later at the event she is wearing a gorgeus red dress.
A bit of attention to details like wouldn't hurt.

Sweet as candy read with limited drama. A very sweet read. I don’t think the title matches Julian’s personality. I found him sweet and so vulnerable. I in no way thought him arrogant at all. Em at times irritated me she had a guy who was so into her and she doubted constantly. It was a good read.

this book was not great. the dialogue was dry and stilted and the "jokes" unfunny.
And then there were (small) things that didn't really add up that made me doubt the writing... like paying tech-boy genius only 52k (while they're trying to steal him away from other companies) or the Michelin-star chef who caters parties???

Avete letto la trama di Un boss arrogante? Non so voi, ma io avevo la sensazione di trovarmi di fronte al classico office romance, dove capo e sottoposta non riescono a resistersi e che tutto sarebbe andato come in un milione di altri libri, ma ero curiosa… e questo perché non avevo ancora mai letto nulla di Oliva Hayle. E sapete la cosa più bella? Fin da subito mi sono innamorata di questa storia, di questi personaggi e anche della scrittura dell’autrice. Ma cosa più importante: non è il classico office romance visto e rivisto. Una cosa che mi aspettavo era tanto spicy, invece l’autrice ha saputo calibrare determinate scene ma soprattutto fin da subito mi ha fatto arrivare il come i due si girassero attorno e quello che effettivamente provavano. Non so dire se il titolo sia azzeccato, ma posso dirvi che Julian vi farà perdere la testa con le sue battute, con la sua intelligenza e anche con le frasi che dice e come le dice. Lui è sicuramente il personaggio che mi ha colpito di più, perché è vero che è il classico capo pieno di soldi, ma ama quello che fa, ha sudato per ottenere tutto quanto e non sta semplicemente nel suo studio a supervisionare, lui è parte integrante dell’azienda. Di Emily ho apprezzato la storia che aveva alle spalle, l’avere la testa sulle spalle, che è semplice e che rimane tale anche con lui. In realtà la storia è davvero dolce, simpatica e ben scritta, e per me ha mostrato due persone che si amalgamano, che partono in un modo e riescono a creare un qualcosa di unico, nonostante le idee iniziali fossero altre. Forse avevo bisogno di una storia leggera, senza chissà che drammi ma che soprattutto mi facesse arrivare le emozioni dei personaggi. Sono rimasta colpita, quindi anche se non me lo aspettavo e sicuramente molti potrebbero non concordare con me, personalmente trovo che questo libro meriti il punteggio pieno.

Questa lettura è stata per me sorprendente e confortante. Succede quando adori gli office romance e i protagonisti arroganti e saccenti che poi finiscono immediatamente per ammorbidirsi e capitolare, cuore e cervello, davanti alla donna dei loro sogni (che nemmeno credevano di avere). Ma questa è la parte comfort, dov’è la sorpresa?

Ho trovato sorprendente la dinamica “innamoramento” dei due protagonisti. Generalmente è lui che deve fare i conti con l’amore, rifiutando a lungo di ammettersi innamorato. Lei invece cade cotta come una patata lessa in quattro pagine. Ecco, qui avviene piuttosto il contrario: Emily è molto recalcitrante, tanto che a una certa vorresti entrare nel Kindle e scrollarla (“Ti svegli? Non si sputa sulla fortuna”)

E Julian? Lui è il fidanzato ideale di qualunque donna etero e romantica sulla faccia di questo pianeta: non solo bellissimo, ricco e molto intelligente, ma anche corretto, gentile e rispettoso. Un vero principe senza corona ma in giacca e cravatta.

“Tenni una mano incollata al tavolo per impedirmi di saltargli addosso. Come riuscivano gli altri a comportarsi in modo normale attorno a lui? Sembrava mandare a fuoco ogni terminazione nervosa del mio corpo.”

Un libro perfetto per sognare in queste giornate torride, sotto l’ombrellone o in riva al lago, con una storia senza troppi scossoni e inciampi. Un amore in crescendo che scalda il cuore… e non solo!

Olivia Hayle can do no wrong yet again! Loved this book! Low angst and full of banter! The title might be a bit misleading because I was expecting like a grumpy, horrible boss but really he was just the opposite. Julian is my official fictional crush of the month <3

A new favorite!

I loved this story.

It was totally made for me by Julian. He was all in with Emily from the very beginning and was going to do anything he could to get her.

So many boss stories start with a bosshole or a total playboy. It was a nice change that Julian was neither of these.

I also really enjoyed the side character of Emily’s brother and their deep connection to one another. I love a neurodivergent character, especially when they are geniuses.

The dark spot happened near the end but not at the very end. Normally I would be kind of bored with the stuff that happened after the dark spot but I felt like it was really warranted here. We needed to see how their relationship was going to develop and it kept me glued to the page. The characters and situations were just that good.

Julian and Emily are amazing together! They met briefly at a club, where Emily bumps into him, he was so arrogant, that he believes she bumped into him on purpose, but it wasn't. Next day she's going with her brother to an interview, when Julian sees her, he decides on joining the interview. Well, Emily got the job, Julian decides it’s the perfect opportunity to woo her and prove that he’s interested in more. But Emily believes a man like Julian can truly only be interested in one thing from a woman like her, and she’s not sure if she’s willing to risk her job for a fling, or does she???

My first book by this author and I really enjoyed it, I fell in love with Julian!!

Well, well, well, Miss Olivia Hayle, I must say I really enjoyed Arrogant Boss. Julian is a sexy as hell, billionaire techie God with a panty melting smile and a boatload of charm. Emily is a young, highly motivated woman who has been taking care of herself and autistic computer genius younger brother for years. The two meet at a club and the sparks fly but they reach epic proportions when they meet again across the boardroom table when Emily’s brother negotiates a job with the billionaire. Part of the package - a job for Emily as well, because Julian has set his sights on her. You could cut the sexual tension with a knife and the best part is, it’s the boy doing the chasing and the falling head over heals for the girl. Although reluctant at first, Emily falls too and they finally get their much deserved happily ever after.

Easy, steamy read!

I really enjoyed this story! It had a little bit of a few different tropes- billionaire playboy, bossy boss, workplace, secret, etc. Both the H and h were fun characters, with a few supporting roles that helped shape the storyline.

A favorite moment: I positively swoon when H effortlessly carries h!!!

An easy and quick read, but I have so many nitpicks about this book they grew into a pack. It starts with the bait and switch title (Arrogant? Say, what?). Then, there were the inaccurate Silicon Valley salary and real estate values which could have been remedied with an internet search, contrived 3rd act drama, and a plot that became a template for a future billionaire book by the same author.

Quello che mi ha colpito a primo impatto di questo libro è stato il titolo, mi immaginavo una storia con un protagonista appunto arrogante, ricco, prepotente con una scia di donne che svengo al suo passaggio, insomma un curriculum di tutto rispetto, niente di più diverso.

Julian Hunt è un uomo ricchissimo che si è fatto strada nel campo tecnologico, ma non è un playboy, anzi, quando si scontra con Emily durante una serata in discoteca diventa praticamente dipendente da lei, sembra un cucciolo in difficoltà, cerca sin da subito di far capire ad Emily che per lui non è solo un avventura ma che potrebbe diventare qualcosa di duraturo, farà di tutto per corteggiarla e dimostrarsi diverso dall'immagine che si è fatta di lui. 


"Non sarebbe mai stato adatto alla mia vita… Era un uomo così eccezionale e io troppo anonima. E senza dubbio avrebbe voluto qualcuno che condividesse tutte le attenzioni che riceveva."


Emily ha perso i genitori poco più che ventenne e da allora era diventata il tutore legale del fratello minore Tunter un ragazzo prodigio affetto da autismo con notevoli qualità nel campo informatico per cui molte aziende lo volevano nella loro squadra, ma Tunter ha sempre desiderato lavorare per la Hunt Industries e, quando accetta di fare un colloquio di lavoro con l'amministratore delegato sarà la sorella Emily che Julian dovrà convincere per averlo nel suo team e Hunt le farà un offerta che i due fratelli non possono rifiutare. 

Dopo aver accettato il lavoro, nonostante l'attrazione che Emily sente per Julian non ha nessuna voglia di cedere alla chimica che si sprigiona quando sono vicini e farà di tutto per tenerlo lontano e non mischiare il lavoro con il piacere.

Julien coi suoi modi convincenti riesce a fargli accettare di trascorre del tempo insieme per potersi conoscere meglio e con il tempo l'amicizia si trasformerà in qualcosa di più intimo. 

Julian vorrà delle certezze da parte di Emily, che invece è proprio una scheggia impazzita, non crede che un uomo come lui sexy, ricco e potente si possa accontentare di una ragazza semplice come lei è molto probabilmente dopo essersi tolto lo sfizio si sarebbe stancato e sarebbe passato oltre. 

Riuscirà Julian a convincere Emily della sua buona fede? 

«Io so cosa voglio, Emily. Fammi sapere quando tu hai deciso. Ma ho smesso di essere il tuo piccolo e sporco segreto».

Non mi ha convinta a pieno ma ho trovato i dialoghi molto frizzanti e divertenti, i personaggi sono ben caratterizzati, il rapporto tra i due protagonisti si evolverà piano piano a causa dei mille dubbi di Emily che per certi versi l'ho trovata esasperante, una lettura semplice senza drammi né colpi di scena, soltanto piccoli problemi di incomprensione che si risolveranno subito senza troppe complicazioni in modo maturo e naturale. Le scene spicy sono poco convincenti, anche se si percepisce tra le pagine una forte tensione sessuale tra i protagonisti. Adatto per chi cerca una lettura senza troppe pretese.

Most important thing to say before starting this review: I’m already ready to read it again. I was prepared to start it over again once I finished it. (And don’t think I’m not still thinking about doing it!) Okay, to the expected review! Emily fell into Julian's arms, and he was prepared to spend the rest of his life with her there. I was instantly hooked on their flirting, and so was Julian. He was so amused by her, and I was amused by him! As a Gilmore Girls fan, I am absolutely in love with his nickname for Emily! He can’t stop thinking about her, and all the ways she’s perfect for him. How sweet and innocent she was, the way she got angry with him. (I liked that, too!) When Emily’s brother interviewed for Julian’s company, Julian very happily held the ball hostage in his court. Until of course, I tossed it into her’s. She took her job seriously, and Julian knew she’d never jeopardize it by going out with him. After losing a bet, and having to give in to a standing dinner date, everything starts to fall into place. (And it was heavenly!) Julian wanted to do everything right by her. Woo her, make her feel wanted, important, special. Between Turner and Julian, Emily never doubted how much she was cared for, or protected. And that’s what she deserved. Can’t have perfection without some hiccups…Julian and Emily didn’t see eye to eye on how things were going. She broke his heart, along with mine. But then this beautiful thing happened: they COMMUNICATED! Big emotions, bit apologies. And then, their perfect happily ever after. I am completely and totally obsessed with them. Their back and forth was always perfect. Their puzzle pieces that fit perfectly together. My brain chanted “I’m obsessed” through the entire book.
