About the author

Erika Seibert was born and raised in Southern California to a large family in Los Angeles. She is the oldest of five—three sisters and a brother. Her hobbies include spending time with family and friends, traveling, hiking, reading, blogging, studying the Bible, and scrap-booking. Her love for God’s Word led her to pursue an MA in Biblical Studies from The Master’s University. Erika served alongside her late husband Josh Seibert in youth and pastoral ministry. Josh graduated from The Master's Seminary in 2013. Erika has two energetic boys, Noah and Nathan, who love to socialize and keep active in sports. She is passionate about the Lord, her two children, writing, and using her own journey to encourage others.

I enjoyed this book. Erika beautifully takes Josh's own poetry, love letters from her marriage, and her blog she wrote chronicling Josh's illness, and weaves them together to tell one complete story. I know Erika and Josh, so the overarching part of this story I already knew because I followed her blog when Josh was sick. But reading this complete book was refreshing, inspiring, and admirable. It was refreshing to see Erika's solid and unshakeable faith in the Lord and not be tossed around completely by her emotions. Saving faith indeed cannot be broken and Erika's life is a testimony to that. It was inspiring because Erika beautifully captured through words the work of the Holy Spirit in her husband, Josh's life. And it was admirable because Erika was vulnerable in her writing, she brought the reader into the intimate parts of her relationship with her husband so that we too could come alongside her and worship our sweet Savior for the work He has done.
