A young black boy serving life in prison...A city on fire...One man stands between a life behind bars and total exoneration...Christian Davis, a former big-firm lawyer turned social justice warrior, has just been assigned the case of his life by the State of California. Jamel Jackson, a 16-year-old black boy, has just been convicted for the brutal rape of a prominent movie star.
Christian digs into the case with gusto, as he examines the trial court transcript for any hint that the trial court might have erred in Jamel's case. As he gets into the investigation of the case, he's shocked at what he has found. Corruption at the highest level is staring him in the face.
The problem is, the person who Christian suspects was actually behind the rape is somebody who is powerful and connected. And this person will stop at anything to make sure that young Jamel stays in prison for the crime.
Christian soon finds himself not only fighting the system, but also trying to stay one step ahead of the man who Christian knows was the one who raped the actress.
Because Christian knows that Jamel will not remain in prison for this rich bastard's crime.
And he will risk all, even his life, to make that doesn't happen.
With the lightning pace and twists and turns you've come to expect from a Rachel Sinclair thriller, Wrongful Conviction is a book that you will not want to miss!!!!
Ms. Sinclair always creates a good read, this series has demanded my attention. I would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys reading, and if you only have time for just one make it this one, it will bring satisfaction too you! Thank you for writing for all of us, it's great to be able to enjoy! Looking forward to " The Trial "
I am always amazed at the horrible things people do while exploiting the ignorance and hypocracy of the willfully hateful masses who will do anything to others while screaming about injustice if they are held accountable which sadly they are not a majority of the time.
I like the way this book was written, however I was expecting more. These kind of crimes were happening all over the world. So, why do these people think they are above the law? Because, we let them get away with it.
This is a very interesting and timely story. It about Rich White Men Privilege and Evangelical Christian Hypocrisy. The author really understands what is happening in the world today. This book has elements of the " Me Too Movement ", racial injustice and how the system works for the rich and powerful and against the poor. Great storyline. The Ending was anticlimactic otherwise it was a tremendous book
OMG. This is a great thriller. This book keeps you in suspense until the very end. This is definitely a five star book. This is also a great series. I highly recommend this book and series.
