Captain Akos of the Mist Stalker is looking forward to an early retirement with the love of his life, but when he is called upon for a favor that he cannot refuse he has to put his plans on hold. The holder of his letter of marque, the only thing separating his activities as a privateer from being those of a pirate, has asked him to captain an expedition for his scientist sister’s experiment. The goal: to prove that the Void is actually another realm that can be traveled to much like any of the other known worlds.
Of course, every sailor knows to never approach the Void. But without any other options, Akos and his crew are forced to travel into hell itself.
Into the Void is a fantasy adventure story set in a universe where different realms are separated by the mysterious mist that surrounds them. Only special navigators known as wayfarers are able to make their way between the realms, and facilitate trade and exploration.

Loved it. Didn’t realize there was a second one so now I’m annoyed that I must find the next one. Need to know what happens.
