Rate this book
Running from a dark past that still haunts her at every corner, Lenore is in more trouble than she thinks. She’s been staring at the one who got away, Andrew, for years, and waiting. But for once, she took a chance, and she hit the jackpot. Or did she?

That one night away from home, she met the perfect man, Richard. Her unapologizing figure and fake confidence landed her the attention of the rich and mysterious club owner.

With eyes the shade of night, all black suits, and an unusual appetite, everything about Richard screams danger. But the cold hands and sharp fangs come with the one thing Lenore cannot refuse: a way out. Seduced into a sinful world of dark desire and lurking danger, Lenore has a decision to make between her past and her present. And everything has a price.

Note: This is a dark vampire romance, and it includes dark themes that some readers may find triggering. It is book 1 of a series.

That can't be the ending it just can't, i do not believe it and i also do not accept it.

This book was different from a regular vampire romance. I can't explain exactly what intrigued me, but the female character was not typical, there were scenes in it that reminded me of queen of the damned, that old-fashioned dracula atmosphere ... and Rich ... he was blood licking good!

The plot and the story about two main protagonists was great, but the thing I liked about this book is the insight into our life and how alone we all truly are, how hungry (pun intended) for love and attention, and how willing we are to sacrifice so much in return for something real.

Lenore is lonely and sad. When she meets Richard, she convinces herself she is seducing him, but we find out soon enough who had been seducing whom. As you read this book, you realize the true meaning of the title Blood Seduction. Oh, and Richard is hot.

Enjoyable read. Solid 5 stars. Keep them coming.

Reading has always been a hobby of mine, and while I enjoy a book by a well-renowned author, I like to delve into the work of upcoming writers too. When Anna sent me a copy of Blood Seduction, I was excited. The book fitted right into my two favorite categories romance and suspense.
I must say, the supernatural part was somewhat new for me, but that didn’t stop me from reading. I was hooked from the very beginning of the book. I really enjoyed how rich Anna describes the characters – I really felt a connection with Lenore there. As the story started to unfold, I could start to feel the suspense – how Lenore had to struggle with a decision that would impact her through the rest of her life.
The way that Lenore started to develop feelings for Richard. Even though this is a mythical story based on supernatural beings, I really felt like there were many real parts. The writer was able to truly capture the essence and dynamics of their relationship. The way that two people come together and fall in love – even though that was never the intention of the entire meeting between the two.
The story just got more interesting. I was a little shocked to find a couple of love scenes in the book – but no complaints from my side.
Overall, I must say that I definitely enjoyed reading Blood Seduction. Anna Rainn is definitely a talented author, and I will not think twice about reading another book by this author. The story holds a lot of twists and turns, which I definitely like. This is not one of these books where you can predict the next event at any given time.

3.5 stars rounded to 4

Anna Rainn welcomes her readers to a dark, deadly, and seductively sinful world of vampires in her vampire romance novel, Blood Seduction.

I was lost for the first few pages since Rainn doesn’t divulge her heroine’s secrets right away. For instance, Andrew was all over the first few pages without his connection to Lenore being revealed. Further, she provides only a few glimpses of Richard in the first few pages. While this caused confusion, it also spurred me to read further and know more about Lenore’s life.

Rainn sketches all her characters adroitly. The self-conscious Lenore, the controlling mother, the sensual, handsome, and loving Richard—as well as the supporting cast—all, are portrayed aptly. (Describing any more characters would lead to spoilers. :P)

Rainn takes time to introduce vampires into her story and lets Lenore’s tale take center stage in the first half of the novel. She takes her sweet time to bring Richard and Lenore’s budding romance to fruition, all the while maintaining an air of secrecy around Richard. This, in my humble opinion, sets apart Blood Seduction from other vampire romance novels. There is no “insta-love” here. Further, I loved Lenore’s journey from being an ordinary, inhibited girl to a confident, self-assured woman.

Once the vampires enter the stage, Lenore and the story, changes (literally). The story becomes fast-paced with elements of political intrigue and betrayal showing up as well. Although the first half is slow, once the second half started, I couldn’t put down the book. Be warned, the novel has one hell of a cliffhanger which will make you wait for the sequel with bated breath.

Rainn is a talented writer. She vividly captures the claustrophobic life in a small town especially for a girl like Lenore with a troubled past. She writes suspense and romance with equal élan. The smoking-hot love scenes between Ella and Richard took my breath away while the nail-biting suspense at the end kept me on tenterhooks.

Blood Seduction is perfect for fans of supernatural romance. Even those who don’t like a tinge of paranormal in their romance, read it. You will be pleasantly surprised.

It includes dark themes (sexual abuse) and has quite a few love scenes that might be triggering to some readers.

I received a free digital copy from the author. I opted to provide an honest review.

Ideal for Paranormal Romance Lovers

Okay, I’m a huge paranormal romance books lover and not ashamed to admit it. Over the years I have read tons of these books. That’s probably why I’ve become so picky lately. When you read a lot of books in a certain genre you learn your likes and dislikes. For instance, I noticed many of these books have similar dialogues, settings, characters, you name it. Annoying, isn’t it? So, over time I have become more critical about things I read and no longer satisfied with sub-par writing.
I was browsing through books to find something to read and came across Blood Seduction so I decided to check it out. To be honest, I didn’t have high expectations for it because many books nowadays have failed to impress me. This isn’t the type of book where two main protagonists meet and fall in love instantly. Lenore or Ella, the main female character, doesn’t really care about Richard at first. Her ex-boyfriend Andrew is still on her mind. Although their relationship was far from ideal, Ella is still hung up on him. But eventually, Richard the vampire wins her over. That’s when the real story begins as Ella is faced with enormous pressure in her town. Her problems are just about to escalate and get a whole new dimension that only the vampire lover can give.
What I love about this book is the dialogue which isn’t, exactly, immature like in many other paranormal or supernatural romance books. Traumatic past and problematic present jeopardize Ella’s future. The book gives us a vivid representation of torments they face but also depicts the pressures of being different in a small town. Even though there are no vampires in real life (obviously), we can still connect to these characters and that’s exactly what impressed me the most about this book. Gladly recommend!

"It's rare for me to allow grammar issues to distract me from a story, but I really struggled to read this one, as the entire time Anna Rainn jumps between verb tenses within the same sentences, which ruined the flow. Add to that, a sprinkling of completely misused words, as if she had access to the vocabulary, but not the patience to verify she knew the meaning and a dash of words that don't even exist in the form they appear in.. and you'll understand my frustration.

I feel like this author understood the basic elements needed only on a novitiate level and unfortunately, lacked the ability to truly sculpt them into a compelling story. It's a blessedly short read, so I welcome you to read it anyway and see if you disagree with me.

There are things that Rainn does really well. A couple, anyway--"

I’m a sucker for romance novels. I read as many romance books as I can, and when I get a book that gives me romance along with some added drama, then I am hooked.

The author Anna Rainn sent me her book, Blood Seduction, to see how I felt about her work. I considered myself fortunate that Anna thought of me as one of the first to lay eyes on the book.
I crawled up in bed the very same night I got the book and started reading. I found that the book was definitely among the most interesting ones that I have read this year – I stayed up way past my bedtime, not even noticing time went by so quickly.

This book is perfect for anyone who enjoys a supernatural romance. If you have a soft spot for vampire romances, then you are surely going to enjoy every bit of Blood Seduction.

Do you believe vampires are real? That is one of the main questions answered in this most entertaining and attention holding book by Anna Rainn. The author's main character, Ella, has to not only decide the answer to that question, but then decide what she is going to with her life and more importantly, her love life. This was what could have been a very dark subject and story, except it was written about in a very enjoyable manner that actually brought part of it to the light side. It was definitely a story about the importance of family, whether the encounters were good or bad, they were still about getting together with family and their involvement in the characters' lives. It was also a story about betrayal and power, the fear of it and the need to obtain it. This is a voluntary review of an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from Hidden Gems Books.

When I saw this cover, I had to buy the book.

Now that I have read it, I think this is one of the instances where you can judge a book by its gorgeous cover.

Well developed characters with the darkness of the cover and the same pop of color.

The book takes place on the edge of the woods where one lonely girl tries to escape her mundane life but finds herself thrust into vampire world and in a relationship with a vampire she is not sure she loves.

Contemporary fiction takes a paranormal tinge and the romance gets tangled with suspense to create this joyride of a book.

This is is a book I would definitely recommend.

This vampire romance has beautiful foreboding atmosphere, mixing magic and reality. It is very descriptive and it takes you into a world full of evils, both natural and paranormal, and also full of romance.

Ella is fighting to survive in a hostile small town and to overcome her horrible past. Her vulnerability push her into the arms of a vampire. She makes one compromise after the other, and she has to pay for these decisions in a string of nonstop twists and turns that leave you in shock. Impatiently waiting for the next book.

This book delivers on everything I expected, but then it ups its game. The characters were so flawed and so real! The characters arcs made sense, unlike what you normally get with many supernatural romances. The progression of every feeling and every decision made sense, and it didn’t affect the pace in the least. Did I mention that the pace was fast, action packed and that the twists were shocking?

I really liked Ella (Lenore), and I wanted to know more about her. Richard was good and bad. Together, they were perfect.

Lenore KNOWS something is fishy about Richard, but her life doesn’t leave her many options, and she keeps going back for more. And the action keeps happening.

I absolutely loved this book. It was very different from other books in the genre and I was really excited when I found out Anna Rainn is working on a second book. Can’t wait!

Action packed book cover to cover. A small town girl calculating starts dating an unusual guy in an attempt to start a new chapter of her life. But Ella has no idea what she is getting into.

This book is unlike many books in the same genre. It builds a solid story and well crafted characters and keeps the pace fast. I read this in two sittings, and enjoyed every bit of it.

LOVED IT! So different from what I’ve read before and I was hooked from the first page...I didn’t realize there’s a second book and there’s no date/ no info anywhere as to when it’ll be out, so I’m frustrated now. The ending was explosive and that last sentence left me hanging and thinking “NO WAY!” Ugggggg....

Ella is a small town girl with dark secrets. She is not fooled by Richard. Her instincts tell her to run, but she lets the rich vampire’s allure pull her and she keeps giving him chances to fulfill the social expectations from her small community. Eventually. Ella falls in love with a vampire who has a hidden agenda. Quick pace, great characters.

Good read

I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy. This was a very confusing book. I would love to know what happened to Richard? Where did Ella go afterwards and what happened with her? I was hoping it would end better than it did. Although it was somewhat a good read I was kind of disappointed.

Great read!

I love the action & the fast pace. I also really enjoyed that the female main character wasn't a miserable, nagging tyrant that didn't get overly hysterical over every little thing. The book was fun & not annoying with petty female antics.

I enjoyed the story of Lenore/Ella and Richard, and the way the vampire factions were realised. I'd like to know more about the history of the choker and its previous wearer. The cliffhanger ending means I hope there's a sequel! Trigger warnings for rape & sexual assault.

I really haven't been enjoying the books I read recently. I’m not sure if this is a phase, or if I haven’t picked up the right books. Blood Seduction broke that spell for me.
