P.d. Siempre voy a shipear a Adrien y Michelle

I watched the Youtube series ever since it came out. It was the best series that anyone had made with a sims game. But when episodes stopped being released, it left me with so many unsolved answers. Then I see a book was released and I bought it as quick as i could. I have to say I love what the author did with the story. She added so much more detail and character depth. And all the unanswered questions that i had were answered. Now theres just one more question I have left. Is there a second book??

Vampire story with a bit of a twist. There was some romance in it, but to me it was mainly a bit of a thriller with some tragedies here and there.

I genuinely enjoyed this read. It was easy to read, but suspenseful. I glided through the pages until the very end.

For me it was a thrilling read that had me craving more by the end of it. The book is a standalone in a way that the main characters quest/desire is fulfilled, but there is room for another book. I really hope it will come.

The ending disappointed me quite a bit. I don’t think we will get a sequel which leaving it open ended makes me a little frustrated. My rating is more like 2 1/2 stars, I really loved right past the midway point like the 3/4th section. Latimer was my favorite character in the sims 2 series and his ending made me frustrated. I wish he would have stayed dead instead of becoming what he is. I also personally felt that his speech about paradise felt a little bit of religion going down my throat. I don’t know I waited so long for the ending and now I have it. It just fell a little flat for me. If a sequel is published I’ll definitely give it a read. As an author, Sheri holds so much talent and even more potential for growth.

Soooo funny enough YEARS ago I found this storyline as a Sims 2 love story on YouTube and was hooked from Ep1😅 I remember having reminders set for each time Sheri would upload a new video so I could see more of the story. (Highly recommend honestly, I think she went by MzRasberries on YT)

Then imagine my surprise when I found THE ACTUAL BOOK!! I was ELATED to go back and read the story even though I already knew most of it already. The book added a lot of amazing details and I was super happy to find this story again.

I wish there would be a sequel as the nostalgia for me and this book is very strong!

Wished we would get a sequel. That would make it 5 stars, but now it's an open ending and I wish to know what would happen with the characters

Firstly I want to say congrats to the author for publishing this. I have been a fan of the Venin Abyss series since it premiered years ago and have rewatched both the story and Q&A content multiple times. The story of Venin Abyss was always interesting and stood apart in the oversaturated Vampire genre. It was fun to read some of the dialogue that I remember coming straight out to the animation and triggered some serious nostalgia. However, I feel like a lot of the magic was lost in the transition from screen to page.

I will preface this by saying that I hope the author does continue writing but I wanted to give some constructive critique. One of the biggest problems I see in this book is the over descriptions. I understand that losing the visual impact that the youtube series had can be difficult to translate, but there are ways to do it. One example is the opening description of Adrien. Instead of taking a page to tell line by line what he looks like, work it in more organically through conversation or other actions. Furthermore, not every single element of a scene needs to be discussed or detailed. Instead, more broad descriptions to give the feeling of an environment are usually fine. I do acknowledge that as a fan of the series I could visualize certain scenes very clearly without the descriptions, but there is room for improvement.

There is also a use of over-explanation. I feel like the entire prologue in particular is not needed and the information could have been easily incorporated or revealed in other ways. Repetition of information could also be addressed. Overall, there are still some great parts of this book. The dialogue, which is some of the most difficult to make sound natural, remains strong. The characters themselves are also still a great part of the series that transitioned well. There is a great foundation here and I do hope that the author thinks about a sequel as the world she has built still holds so much potential.

Sheri's writing is so very good. I'm an aspiring writer and practice often. Her detail in fight scenes and in general is just perfect to make you really feel like you're there. You can envision the scenes in your mind chapter by chapter. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I only took off the one star due to the fact that my tastes have grown a lot over the years and the vampire genre is a little tired sometimes. I also felt weird about the paradise thing being thrown in there. It almost seems like a way to push Christianity since Sheri is an avid Christian.

For anyone in need of a good vampire story!

I started watching this as a series nearly 10 years ago, and I can finally say that I've finished it! As far as stories go, this one keeps you wanting for more and any lover of the supernatural and vampires will adore it! The backgrounds to the characters is especially satisfying, with a deep story surrounding Larimer and his family. My favorite part would be the narrative of the darkness inside them. It feels more real, although they are suffering. Like the way a human would react to vampires. Thank you for writing this, Sheri! Your storytelling was one of the things that made me want to write too.
