A Sip of Moonlight

Rate this book
A Sip of Moonlight is my second collection of poems published after On the Wings of SKY, and these poems, too, are minuscule pearls of my life’s journey.

With these poems, I hope to inspire my readers with a sense of self-worth, acknowledgement of pain, though not accepting defeat, instead, striving towards victory. This book is also a tribute to love and the union of two souls, to the beautiful and pure bond of marriage. This book is about growing mature emotionally and intellectually with every minute experience gained, and blossoming from the experiences. It is about the ability to learn how to turn the negative into the positive, and to make the positive more fortified and far-reaching.

A Sip of Moonlight is a tribute to love and life and is about love and life.

" And what is the reality
Of this dying world
But a certainty of its temporariness
And what is the reality
Of killing for fickle wealth
But being sentenced to the abyss'

'A Sip of Moonlight' is an anthology of only about a 100 pages. It can be read in a single sitting. The poems carry various themes like life, death, betrayal, love , heartbreak and trust etc. The rhyme is beautifully written and I think we can all relate to most of these poems. I personally liked 'The Mirage' , '
The Spark' and 'Crumbling' a lot.

She had a very impressive way to keep the reader hopeful till the last word, even when she was describing the soul piercing pain of the shattered trust, the grief of a mother who lost her child, the restlessness of those who had to leave their homes.
There is a lesson very simply explained in every poem. The most impressive among them are: we should face our failure with dignity as rise and fall are followed by each other. We should discover ourselves, shouldn't let anyone empower us with our reactions, should beat off all the adverse thoughts in our head and find a new way.We should use this short finite time in a way that can leave an everlasting effect
My favourite line:"It's the toughest times that give rise to Hurculean strength."

This is a collection of poetry that talks about love, life, struggle, heartbreak, the journey of the soul, betrayal, and trust. This poetry anthology alternates between calmness and passion of your soul. Some poems are long, spanning multiple pages, while others are quite short. The poetess wrote her inner feeling in such an intriguing that you can resist yourself to stop reading and can read it in one go. The melancholic vibe, the chaotic aura, and the rhythm of gloominess are what make it an intriguing experience for the reader (especially in this Monsoon). A Sip of Moonlight exalts the pursuit of inner peace. This compilation of poems is crafted through moments of reflection and intense emotion, serving as a reminder of the depth and breadth of love. I truly like this book.

And what is life
But a fading journey
Towards galactic death,
And what is life
But a rising action
Towards climactic death

"A Sip of Moonlight" is a collection of beautiful poetry. It covers various themes like love, betrayal, struggle and many more and all of the poems are beautifully penned. It's my first time to read a poetry book and I personally loved it. At some points, I felt much relatable to some lines.
