This was a sweet short read about a woman named Cassia who really liked a man named Dylan she had previously been dating, but never slept with. She broke up with him because he came to work at her detective agency after his father fell ill. His dad was one of the owners And asked him to take his place.
A case falls into the company’s lap involving a couples resort, where they need to pose as husband and wife in order to blend in. It turns out that Dylan was not finished chasing after Cassia and set the whole thing up. His aunt is the owner of the resort and is helping him get his girl. They spend a great vacation together and eventually Dylan gets what he wants.
This book is for those readers who prefer to know that sex took place, but they don’t want to read the tawdry details. Well, I’m not one of those people. I like to be all up in the mix. I need to know how he smacked it up, flipped it and rubbed it down. I need the visual of them getting it in. Tell me all the good stuff so I can determine the freak meters of the characters. Otherwise it is just a tease.
Unfortunately for me, this book was like, they did it and now they are giddy. That is all. At least Cassia was happy the day after and Dylan was sore, so that’s something. Any who, the book ends on a happily for now, wrapped up in a cute little bow.

Title: Spicing Things Up Author: Lisa Watson Publisher: Lisa Watson Reviewed By: Arlena Dean Rating: Four Review: "Spicing Things Up" by Lisa Watson
My Speculation:
I enjoyed this short story of what Dylan Resse will do to get the love of his life...Cassia Hampton. The storyline was very intriguing in how this author presented it so well to the reader. One will be hooked on the story from the beginning till the end as you will get a little mystery, along with a bit of twist comes together in this delightful read. Will these two get what they want from each other as they spend a great vacation together? Well, you will have to pick up "Spicing Things Up" to see how this author will bring it all out to the reader.
Spicing Things Up is about Dylan, an enterprising guy, who wants a second chance at romance with Cassia, his business partner.
They go undercover on a job as a couple and that results in complications both at the resort they’re investigating and in their current non-relationship, since they’re forced into close proximity, sharing a room and acting like a loving couple.
Cassia wants him, but isn’t about to make a move. But Dylan is a man of action who is determined that he won’t lose his chance at happiness a second time.
This was a smooth read. I liked both characters and there’s a mystery thrown in for a bit of intrigue.
What a wonderful and cute plan to woo and claim the love of your life. Dylan tried to provide Cassia with all the adventure and security she needed so he could have her as his own. Who doesn't want a man to go all in for her. Great, fast paced read with intrigue, adventure, and tropical romance.
Spicing things up was short, sweet and to the point. Thus short story captured my attention and held it to the end. It was a little predictable but the twist that was thrown in was not. I look forward to reading more by this author.
I enjoyed this book. Even though it was a romance story, I like how the author threw in a little mystery. While reading I was trying to figure out who the culprit(s) were. The storyline hooked me from the beginning until the end. I recommend this book to read.
Immediately after reading this book I thought of a quote I heard years ago “either I will find a way, or I will make one”. Sounds familiar Dylan? My brother you are a man after my heart, creative, fine and a risk taker. So many times I thought the thing would backfire because of Cassia work ethic. She would seek until she find..tee-hee. I totally get why Watson titled this short “Spicing Things Up” the actions were sizzling and the way things were handle definitely was spicy. What a fun story.
