Sunlight Moonlight is a tome containing too different stories. The first is an alien one, involving a deep love and some big obstacles to overcome. Story two is a vampire one, starting thousands of years ago and moving on to a more modern day, kind of hurried love story.

Not too much to say here, not a bad read. Kind of just a quick thrill. Wouldn't necessarily say it was the best though. Story 1 was better then the 2nd one though.

Sunlight = 2 stars. Lots of reiteration in this story. Of course women would watch Micah...his assumed form looks like Fabio! The conversation between the H/h drove me crazy. Micah doesn't know the language, Lainey wouldn't stop using big words and earth sayings. Couldn't wait to finish story.I

Moonlight = 3 stars. Navarre, after part 1, I really wanted him to find his soul mate. Annie was just ok, other than lust, there was no connection. Not really any dating, nothing in common, instantly to "I love you"!!! Ending felt rushed, but did have a HFN moment.

Two books in one - one about an alien and the second about a vampire.

Sunlight is badly written and there were a lot of missed opportunities given this is a romance novel about an alien.

Moonlight is written a bit better but is terribly anticlimactic.

All in all, this was very disappointing and I don’t understand the appeal.

Although it has been a really long time since I read this book this is what I remember: Sunlight and Moonlight are two different stories and though I liked them both, my favorite one is Sunlight. It was not your typical vampire romance and the difference that Amanda Ashley put into this story made it worth reading again.

3.5 *WINK* READ

I so wanted to like this book more. Maybe I went into it with more expectation and that is why I was a bit disappointed. Although the story line was a good one and the characters loveable there were some inconsistency with character description and behaviors that took me out of the story. There were also many errors that left me confused between character thought and character conversation. Although a short read it took me longer as I had to reread quite a bit.

I also felt that there were times when a scene would have been better if a little written more in detail and no I am not talking sex scenes. This is a blush read so you aren't going to get the breakdown in the bedroom, but I was fine with that. There were parts where there could have been more action and more in depth info provided to build the characters more.

I did however feel the connection between Micah and Lainey. Their bumps on the road to romance/love were heartbreaking and there a few times I gripped my ereader a bit too hard with angst of what to come. Again, the concept and storyline were interesting and I found it intriguing but it was just missing that extra spark that would of taken it to the next level for me.

But, please, don't let this stop you from reading as we all have different tastes in books and what may be okay for me may be fantastic to you!

This is a riveting paranormal romance that keeps readers on the edge of their seat. While the beginning of the story seemed a little slow, it quickly picks up and I really enjoyed this heartwarming and sweet romance. The author added a few surprises that I didn’t see coming and I loved how the characters overcame their enemies and achieved their happily ever after.

This review is based on Sunlight. I have read both stories and give them both a 4 star rating, but the review is based on Sunlight alone at this time.

Two very different paranormal love stories are contained in this book. In "Sunlight", a mystery writer is drawn to a spooky house where she meets an alien who has crash landed on Earth. In "Moonlight", a vampire who had been a prisoner caged from birth searches the centuries for love. Both stories have the requisite amount of uncertainty for the main characters to overcome - the outside forces pulling them apart, their own doubts and uncertainties - but the overall story leads to the expected conclusion.

Well, okay then!

This is a longer version than the original, and I guess it's okay, but it reads like it was not improved upon by the author herself, some parts of the story is different than what was originally published and it reads unlike Ms. Ashley's writing! When you've read all her books for many years multiple times, especially your favorite ones, you know the story like the back of your hand and the author's writing style, well you get the picture! I still have the original ones(those are my treasures) so I know what I'm talking about!

Sunlight/Moonlight by Amanda Ashley (Sunlight: An alien, Micah, who crashes on Earth and falls in loves in love with Lainey. He is hunted down men who want to ‘study’ him and make themselves famous and rich. Moonlight: Navarre who is imprisoned from birth to be a human sacrifice to a goddess, Shalyn who is really a vampire. And, instead of killing him she makes him a vampire, too. He falls in love with a human, Adrianna.

Sunlight Moonlight, Shades of Gray. two stories that are as different as day and night, with two heroes as different as dawn and dusk. The sun shines on Micah, a powerful stranger more perfect than any mortal, whose adventures lead to his crash on earth. And in the darkness there is Navarre, a vampire yearning to end his cursed solitude.

Made to the end of Sunlight, & that's 222 pages of my life I can't un-read. Lainey is TSTL...the plot is decent, but the author is either talking down to the reader or skipping over details. Anyone who goes into a spooky, abandoned house & stays after a fire magically appears in the fireplace is either an idiot or a graduate from Hogwarts. Lainey doesn't have a wand, so...

This is just bad. It just felt like Amanda Ashley used the Enquirer for her research. Plus I hate the sheer perfection of the hero/heroine. And really, no one had any reason to fall in love other than the physical perfection of the other and "primal attraction." Ugh.

Hated it!

Not what I expected

Had an interesting premise but never really caught my attention. It was not awful but it was not engaging. Deleting book 2.

I actually really enjoyed this book. It was better than a lot of her other books - maybe because this one had an alien instead of a vampire! It seemed the story details were better than usual also.
