Okay so I wasn't crazy about reading this book, I don't know why but this couple never really stood out to me. I know that they've had a thing for each other in the other books but I just didn't feel their chemistry. I was hoping that this would change with their own book, but it just fell flat for me. I had hope, but still.
This couple doesn't even have much air time together in the beginning. It takes about 42% into the book when they have their first kiss and then around 57% when they finally sleep together. Then they have sex, then some more sex, oh and did I mention they have sex? Because damn, it's a lot of sex thrown at you at once. So I guess they had a lot of catching up to do?
It just seemed like this couple was gypped out of their story. They have known each other for years, all that time they've wanted each other, but Tink has stayed away. Turns out Tink thought that Hammer had slept with her sister, Raven, and apparently that was a no-go zone for her. I don't blame her, I think once a guy crosses that line then it goes into the "fuck that" category. But, Tink's sister is a douchebag, like a serious asshole. These two do not get along and it's because Raven is a raging, disgusting asshat. So maybe wouldn't it make sense for Tink to address this issue with Hammer? I mean she's had feelings for him for YEARS, but never thought to address it? Because oh yeah! He didn't actually sleep with her. Tink made assumptions because she saw them talking at the gym together? Ohhhhhkay.
Then there is the drama of Hammer having a druggie for a sister and has to take care of his baby nephew. Except, Hammer doesn't actually take care of the kid, he ropes Tink, and two other women from the club into helping him out because he doesn't want to do it himself. But the whole time he's getting overly attached to the baby, and feeling like he's becoming the kids father? Doesn't quite add up but again, oooohhhkaaaaay.
Then we have Tink going into nursing school (which her father is paying for), but she wants to drop out. Her father who apparently has never really talked to her can tell that nursing isn't her thing and says if she wants to drop out then she should, but he would appreciate it if she'd come to a decision by that Friday so he could get 90% of the tuition he paid for back. Does she do this, even knowing she isn't going to complete the program? No, she waits WEEKS to do it, even though she knew it wasn't what she wanted to do with her life. Sounds pretty selfish to me. And don't get me started on her calling her father "daddy"...
Third set of drama, Tink has a part time job posing for this painter who pays her $100 per hour, if she poses nude. Of course she does this without many questions. So, of course we have the big-biker-alpha man (Hammer) who is not happy about Tink being vague about her part-time job. So what does this guy do? Has one of the prospects follow her, then proceeds to tell Hammer what he found (nude paintings of Tink). Of course this guy completely freaks out and breaks into the painter dudes house where he finds Tink's painting in his room, where Hammer proceeds to cut the painting free of the frame and take it with him.
Does Tink freak out at this invasion of privacy? No, she goes to the artist guys house to get her money, and then comes onto him. She wanted to see if he was actually a dirtbag. Surprise, sur-motherfucking-prise he is! Even though it felt like that came out of nowhere. Then, she goes to the clubhouse where she jumps into Hammer's arms and basically says "you were right!"...
You'd think the dumb drama would stop there. But nope. Remember Raven? Well, of course this bitch has to come back into the picture. She makes Tink take her to the clubhouse to party. But of course there's the plot twist where Tink has to leave for a while, and then it's just Raven and Hammer. Didn't see that one comin did ya?? Well, Tink's uhhhmazing sister drugs Hammer (why she's carrying a date-rape drug, I have no idea), then strips him out of his clothes, takes him to bed where she takes pictures of them in a few compromising positions, and then sends them to her sister!
What does Tink do? She decides to take off to LA. Because she's so heartbroken.
Hammer finds all this out AFTER his sister just died, but as he is about to take off for the airport to get to Tink, dum dum dummmmmm... his nephew gets kidnapped by his father. Seriously, what the fuck at this point?
So then we get this huuuuuuge amount of drama where Hammer is trying to get his nephew back, but the kids father is a junkie trying to sell his baby, to his brothers adoption agency, where said brother kidnaps babies to sell them because why not add all that craziness at this point? Then we have the scene where Hammer is chasing after the babies father trying to get him back, and it's all just action, action, action. Dodging cars, motorcycles getting thrown into the river, man getting hit by an oncoming truck.. it's just a big WTF moment..
So then we assume there's the one more drama, which would be between Tink and Hammer. But what we get is Hammer assuming he'll be a single father, because he has taken on that roll. But we have Tink showing up to his sisters funeral begging for him to take her back.. she says that she never should have believed her sister and blah blah blah... It was the most anticlimactic part of the whole friggin book! This couple had barely anytime together, it was just ridiculous.
The drama was never-ending, and just got worse. I actually really like this series but this book just felt forced. I didn't find the funny parts very funny. Jessie and Skylar drove me nuts with inserting themselves in Tinks business. Tink was so annoying with her over-dramatics, and assumptions. And Raven?? Okay, if anyone in the book needed a good ass kicking, it was this chick. Why didn't we get to read about that?? It would have maybe bumped this book up a star for me.

Tink and Hammer...
I absolutely loved Hammer and Tink's story! So much so I was up most of the night finishing it. I loved the chemistry between these two, as well as the love Hammer had for his nephew. Lots of action and plenty of spice! Great book!

A good book, not my favorite story so far in the series, but still worth reading. The characters are fun to read about.

There could have been more depth added to the characters and the story. It read like an episode of SOA when his kid ended up being stolen. Perhaps it’s a coincidence? Whenever police get involved in MC books they always seem disinterested in solving crime...is that how it is? They knew the sister was in rehab and this guy was the last to see her alive ... it just seemed like that part of the story had no conclusion.
Also the endless one upping of Raven with Alexandra. The dad knows this is how it is and doesn’t step in? There was no confrontation? I’m sure the MCwould have had cameras or some repercussions for drugging a member? Then the fact that the guy fell for being drugged wasn’t suspicious of Raven? The brothers not keeping an eye out when he’d declared he loved Tink didn't question him being with Raven? I just don’t buy all that contrived nonsense. It made no sense Tink running to her dad because he fell and not taking her sister home with her? So many holes to make the story fit.
It was going OK up until that moment, then the entire calamity afterward. I haven’t read these books in years I will try another one to see if it is a one off.🙃

I really liked this book! I loved the story line and the characters. The only issue I had was at the end. I felt like there could’ve been more to the ending for me with the conflict of Hammer and Tinks relationship but other than that it was great read!

The ending was a little bit too quick and packaged up too nicely in my opinion (hence, why only 4.25 & not 4.5 stars) . However, the rest of the book was very enjoyable.

My Rating: 4/5 stars!
Oh how I've missed the boys from the Evil Dead MC! This was another great addition to the series. I thought it was refreshing to have a brother from the MC who was just a little bit more sweeter and willing to be more open with their feelings for a change.. and Hammer was just that guy! He may have been described as vain and all muscle, but he was definitely not all that! He's sensitive, caring and actually thinks of others.
And let's not forget hiscounterpart; Tink. Love her!! Yes, she had insecurities, trust issues and always felt like she wasn't good enough.. but that didn't stop her from stepping up when things were going pear shaped around her.
Another thing was the family dynamics in this book. It was amazing to see. Not just with the brothers in the MC but with both Tink and Hammer's own families. I thought it gave the story more layers by having other things happening that was not centred around the MC the entire time. (Which is one of the reasons why I can't get enough of Nicole's writing style and this series so much) -- you get a great balance of MC, drama, romance and humor all wrapped up in an actual storyline.
Although I enjoyed reading this story, my only critic is that the length of it was on the shorter side. I wish it was a longer.. maybe have the drama stretch out a little more. Have more of a build up...? I felt that it occurred and resolved in matter of a couple chapters.
Still a recommended read in my books! This entire series is! *two thumbs up!*

This was a fantastic book but I've loved every book in this series.
Hammer has always had a thing for Tink. She is this little tiny girl that won't give him the time of day while secretly she is head over heels for him but he is in the "not ever going to happen" column
Tink comes from a well off (not rich" family but has never fit in. Especially with her sister... Imagine snow whites wicked sister but without the "step" in there. Anything Tink wants her sister takes away... Every guy she has gone out with her sister takes from her.
After this happened a while back and seen by Shades, he invites her to hang around the clubhouse and not have to worry about sister dear. That is how she becomes friends of the club.
Hammer's sister disappeared and left her son with her mom who can not take care of him.. health issues so Hammer has to take him but gets the girls at the club to take shifts taking care of him. Tink doesn't want to help but she does and they get to know each other. Guess who is back in town... sister dear and guess who she wants now... Guess you will have to find out who gets Hammer... I love Nicole James and the Evil Dead MC, but....
This one just didn't do it for me. The characters are great. I love Hammer and Tink is very interesting but their story seemed a little weak. The conflict wasn't really a conflict and could have been solved by simply talking. She is supposedly so close to the MC but they don't know anything about her. The baby is supposed to be a pretty major part of the story but we don't see much in the way of real interactions with him. The whole thing just seemed to be more fluff and not enough story.

Not my favorite.
I love this author and the series but Hammer missed the mark for me. I was excited to see how the author would blend their world's but there were too many storylines for a cohesive book. Hammer's sister, his mother and father, his nephew, Tink's sister And her daddy issues, school another MC club I think the author lost site of the love story. That seemed like a after thought.

This book about Hammer and Tink in The Evil Dead MC actually made me laugh out loud a couple of times. I really liked Hammer and I felt for Tink. It was nice to not have a completely broken down girl for a change.

Rushed ending
The lead up to Tink and hammer was so long through all the books yet the ending was so rushed and felt unfulfilling. The whole drama with Raven always wanting what Tink her sister has was never explained as to why. Then the set up with a hammer to make it look like he was cheating with Raven really didn’t have a good conclusion not satisfying at all. Just because he called Tink and left the message it’s not what it looks like? Usually in books like this you’ve got at least five pages where Raven would have been confronted and forced to tell the truth. Whether by the other old ladies in the club or the guys in the club. It just really seemed loosely wrapped up. And when Tink, even without good proof, decides to head home to hammer he refuses her at first? For not believing him at face value? He was a man whore the whole time she knew him. And her sister always got her way. They were very new into their love so there wasn’t a long established relationship that would’ve backed hammer up.I guess to make this long review summarized in one sentence, the ending was rushed and not believable and seemed punitive to Tink. Also so many side stories that their actual romance wasn’t focused on. Again such a lead up only for there to be a drugged out sister and nephew to take care of a scam adoption a artist that liked to con nude models and a sister who likes to steal boyfriends. Could you jam any more into a 200+ page book? Nope! Really disappointed that this was how Tink and hammer ended up.

Tink and Hammer both have an attraction to each other, he just can't figure out why she won't give him the time of day. Tink, for her part, was pretty immature and allowed her evil sister, Raven, to get away with some pretty horrible things. I didn't understand why Tink could stand up to Hammer, but couldn't seem to be able to put Raven in her place. Hammer, for his part, was pretty stand up in this. He even got Tink to acknowledge that she didn't have all of the facts, yet passed judgment. She did this several times in the book and it got real old. Hammer had a lot going on in his personal life and it felt like the universe was pretty much out to get him. I felt Tink was pretty outlandish not to reach out to him when she found out what had happened. The ending was pretty quickly wrapped up and it felt off.

Good Read
Loved the story of Hammer and Tink. Underneath that gruff exterior was a heart of gold and I loved the way Hammer loved Tink and never gave up on her. The way he started raising his nephew and looked out for his mother and sister was so admirable. I liked Tink too and loved the chemistry between the two characters but I must admit that at times I was irritated with Tink, not sure if I thought she was immature or thought I was being too hard on her because she was only 22. She definitely needed to grow up and stop letting her stupid older sister Raven get under her skin. The only part of the book that was puzzling to me was the bit about the guy doing a nude painting of Tink, didn’t really see why that was important or relevant to the story line. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Another great addition the those Evil Dead boys!
For fans of Nicole James, Hammer will not disappoint! Nicole did an incredible job of bringing her readers another hot alpha biker, who’s badass but loves hard too.
Hammer’s a member of the Alabama chapter so you know what that means, right? SHADES and GHOST!!!!!!!!!
Okay ~ let me tell you ... as much as this is Hammer’s story and believe me, he is all that and more, I was floored by EVERY SINGLE LINE—narrative or dialogue that was written for SHADES.
He’s the chapter’s VP (from Book Three in the series), and our boy, Shades, is take-charge-don’t-mess-with-what-I-say-kicka$$-soon-to-be-prez (well, in my opinion)! I’ve fallen madly in love with him all over again. Ghost will knock the readers on their butts just from the banter and laughter he instigates between the club members—he and Shades are just the best!
Now ... to Hammer. He is put in a position no one wants to be in, especially a biker who lives his life doing as he pleases. But he’s a man, a real man, who takes a family tragedy and turns it into the best, most selfless situation. These guys always step up to the plate and that’s what I love most about them. They do what needs to be done—no matter what.
Tink has always been a part of the Evil Dead clubhouse. She’s not a club girl or a hang-around but rather a friend to both the guys and the ‘ol ladies in the clubhouse. Although she’s very young, Tink turns out to have a decent head on her shoulders. She’s sassy and driven, but she’s also held back somewhat by her aggressively jealous sister, Raven, who really does a number on Tink’s self-esteem and social life.
Hammer and Tink love each other and probably always have, but Hammer just had to ... well, Hammer that into her head a bit!
This book was another great addition to the Evil Dead MC series. I love the brotherhood and the loyalty to the club. There’s nothing better—and no-one does it better than Nicole James ~ five stars for me ~

I loved Hammer’s and Tink’s story. The characters were relatable and the banter between everyone was fantastic. Two broken but strong independent individuals. Think resisted her attraction toward Hammer. But the reason she resisted him was a lie. Once she found out the truth, there was no more resistance and the chemistry was HOT! I loved the dynamics between the main characters and their families. It explained why each was so very broken. And when Hammer let’s everyone see that he is a loving and caring person, that was beautiful. I just wished there would have been more in the end. I didn’t want the story to end and wanted to see more evolvement of their characters as a solid couple. Great story!!!

Hammer and Tink’s Story
I felt the love with this couple. Both characters had strong personalities yet weakness (in a good way) for each other. I liked them both.
I would have rated it a 5 but but I KNOW NJ can do better with parts of her story. The sister jealousy issue was lame and not a strong plot. She should have come up with a better adversary for her story.
Also, at the end, when Hammer and Tink made up, she wrapped it up too easily, like she just wanted to end the book. She is so good at effectively writing emotion that she could have, and should have, created a tear jerking moment there.

Nicole James is a master storyteller. She has become one of my favorite authors. Hold on tight right to the end because Hammer will take you on a non-stop rollercoaster ride. This is so much more than Hammer and Tink's love story. It is a test of family, loyalty and brotherhood.

Hammer has been crazy over Tink for years. She wouldn't give him the time of day. Tink was sure her evil sister got Hammer before she did. With a sister like Raven one should think only children. With his family. Evil sisters and druggie bad guy scheme to tear this pair apart. Love will conquer evil. Great story and love this couple. Hammer has waited so long and Tink is what he wants. The whole series makes each couple shine.

Hammer And Tink
These Characters have known each other for years, they walk around each other with this sexual vibe that consumed them. It took them a while to get there due to some misunderstanding. My pet peeve about Tink was her not being fully in, she never gave Hammer the benefit of the doubt, she just assumed and take someone else's words over him, she didn't give him a chance to explain. I also felt like he forgave her too soon, he should've make her work for it, other than this part everything else is good about this story, really good.

I give the author Reddit for a vivid imagination, but a little bit more reality would have me giving it another star.

This is an amazing series that will have you on the edge of your seat not wanting to put it down or for it to end. Hammer and tinks story is love story with lots of issues mainly tinks but who can blame her with her past and a sister like she has so trusting dosent come easy to her and hammer has always craved after her she knows this and has always avoided the desire she feels and sees in his eyes. This is a must read series with characters you will love and some not so much.

Hammer and Tink
This one is one of my favourite books . I've actually read it twice now. Nicole has such a talent for creating great characters and scenarios you can get lost in. I was on the edge of my seat at certain parts and was crying at others. Such a lovely story and Hammer is beautifully misunderstood character, Tink , a perfect love interest and Raven , a despicable villain. Loved it.

Ended ubruptly
Before I read this book I read a bunch of reviews talking about how it ended poorly. But I love Nicole James' books and I read it. Other than the ending being legitimately rushed, it was a good story. I really liked tink and Hammer was pretty sweet once you got past the jerky exterior. I really love the tension between tank and her sister. Nothing better than a nasty female villain.

Hammer and Tink story was amazing!
It's was a true love story from first sight. It's what life shoves in your way and what you do with it that counts.
If you want an alpha man with a strong woman then you need to read this book. It will keep you on the edge of your seat turning pages to see what happens next.
