My three years undercover ended in tragedy.

I needed a place to lay low and recover, my partner suggested his wife's cabin Upstate New York.

Little did I know that the cabin would come with a cocky and crazy roommate. And, apparently, neither did she - the mentioned wife's little sister.

I was ready to leave, but after one kiss - I was determined to stay.

Audrey discovers her fiancé and her good friend are having a torrid affair. More angry than anything, she flees to her family’s cabin in the woods. Shortly after, an intruder by the name of Xander appears. He comes to the cabin to hide out because an undercover anti-crime operation has gone wrong, and now he’s the target of a cartel gangster.

This steamy romance novella is way more than the romantic trope of two people discovering themselves alone together with sparks soon to follow. The writing in Accidentally Us is high quality, the characters are completely believable and elicit our empathy, and the setting is well described and plays a key role. In short, all the pieces fit together well to make a great whole. So this reader found herself rooting for them to find each other, to enjoy each other, and to begin healing from past wounds. The steam is quite steamy and fun to read. There’s humor, too. And the bar fight scene is especially fun! I’m going to be following G.D. Madsen for sure! Recommended

Audrey & Xander both want to be alone for the holidays to get over their heartache but fate has other plans when they both wind up stuck at Audrey’s parents cabin together. Audrey has always been known as the Ice Princess but Xander is the first man to make her feel alive and as they get to know each other better, Audrey has to remind herself this can only be a holiday fling. Xander is determined to draw out the fiery spitfire he can see inside Audrey and as the two indulge in the blazing passion, Xander realizes he is falling fast as Audrey brings back the fire inside him. The danger from Xander’s past refuses to stay there putting Audrey’s life is on thin ice. Will Xander be able to get to her in time or will he watch the past repeat as he sees the woman he loves go under?

Ok first I loved the characters in this story. Audrey is feisty, flirty, and so much fun. Xander is intense but also caring. Together they are HOT!! The storyline is great too. Audrey and Xander are both accidentally staying in the same cabin but both really need to space so they agree to share. I won’t give any of the story away but you will enjoy it!

This was a fun and steamy romance. Audrey and Xander have quite the chemistry together. Add in some guns and it adds excitement and action to the store. And I couldn't stop laughing when Audrey's family stops by!

This was a quick read, but has all the qualities you need to be enjoyable. The characters are fleshed out and likeable. Audrey and Xander are both at the family cabin by accident when they get snowed in. What follows is sweet and humorous until Xander's past threatens Audrey. The book may be novella in length, but still a great book to curl up with for a lazy saturday.

Action-packed holiday romance

For a novella-length story, this on really packs it in. There’s two broken souls, finding refuge in each other, some fun in the snow, and a daring rescue to top it all off. The characters of Xander and Audrey were so well developed and their relationship banter was just charming. A spicy holiday read to warm your heart.
