The story telling is just stupid, we were told Tak drives a certain way all this time so when the past opponents of his talk about how he beat him it totally contradicts. Shinji doing this to pretty much impress a girl was always a stupid choice. The wings are back so Tak probably wins at the end. This kid is literally hitting his car now AND WHY THE FUCK IS THE RACE NOT OVER!?!?
