This book features a mythologist and her deceased sister, a medical researcher who was killed for the formula for her partially developed cancer cure. The first half of the book was a slow starter, depressing. Their is an incest background that makes the heroine unable to know who to trust. It does become suspenseful in second half, but untidy wrap up with a former boyfriend you are led to suspect as villain.
The author mentions the dead sister's love of marigolds several times and of her sniffing the flowers---marigolds may be cute, but they stink! Generally not good on some of the little details.
