I found myself in a dimly lit dungeon, chained to a wall, and surrounded by other women sharing the same fate. We had to expect the wolves would strike back though. We started it after all. Humans; we always make the same mistake. ""If we don't strike first, they will"". Well, they struck second.
And they struck hard
Now, I was to be given away like a Christmas present to some Dragon Lord; beasts that the outer-space wolves respected for their might and strength. I was already scared and confused, but when I saw him...
No man could ever be this gorgeous.
Fear and desire fought within me like waves crashing on a rocky shore. But to my surprise, he did not want me to be his slave. He didn't even force me to stay. He was kind, gentle and respectful.
Was this real?
Was I really here, with an incredibly sexy dragon shapeshifter, in a giant palace full of servants waiting on my every need, on a far away planet? Everyone I knew had been wiped out. This is the only reality left for me. I might as well see where this goes...
This was a great story. I was drawn into the action from the first page. I didn’t want it to end.
Jen is one of the last survivors of her city after aliens destroy it. They take them to their masters as future breeders. Dom is a prince dragon shifter who has chose Jen to be his woman. He wants more than just a breeder but Jen isn’t too sure. Will they be able to work things out to find a happy ending?

I read all the reviews before I chose to read this book and, now, I am confused, to say the least. This was my very first dragon shifter book, and I hoped, like many other shifter books that the main lead would be an alpha, there would be intensity, the chemistry between the main female off the charts and soulmate searing sex. It was well written, no errors and had the usual beginning, the climax of the significant event and then an ending. There was no tension, definitely no heat, and although the main character is very nice, he does not come across as a prince let alone an alpha. I thought there would be more to the dragon shifters. This story reminded me more of those Harlequin made-for-tv movies that I have never watched.
I liked this story but I did find it hard to take to Jen. What would you do if your boyfriend had done something wrong?? Jen’s boyfriend Dennis is an astronaut, and he and his crew had just returned home but they were trying to hid the fact they had killed an Alien Shifter. But now the Alien Shifters have killed her boyfriend and destroying her home. Trying to escape she is captured and offered to be the bride of the Alien prince dragon shifter. Its a good read but just felt something was missing.

The Dragon’s Gift by Seth Eden and Anastasia Chase is a paranormal romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Craig A Hart.
Seth and Anastasia did an amazing job with this storyline. How can you go wrong with Alien Wolves and Dragon Shifters?!?! This is the first time reading the duo and it definitely won’t be my last.
Craig did an amazing job on the narration. He used different voices for the characters which made it easy to follow along with the story. I look forward to listening to his future projects.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves paranormal romance or dragon shifters.
This is difficult to review, because I really liked the bones of this story, I thought it had a lot of interesting ideas and a world that was open to lots of possibilities. However the execution just didn't work for me. There are a lot of inconsistencies, and the hero often comes across as a young man rather than a centuries old dragon shifter prince.
I was given a free ARC copy through Booksprout, so the final product may be very different.
Absolutely Awesome Read, well written, great characters, Awesome story line, easy read to hold you on their journey, this genre might not be for everyone but its a really wonderful story cannot wait for more from this Author.

This first in the series book is full of excitement and intrigue. A case of a kidnapping going both right and wrong. Well written and fast paced. Definitely a good story.
The Dragon's Gift is the first book in the Dragon Shifters from Cendarth series. I read this book as part of the Dragon Shifters from Cendarth box set and enjoyed each of the books. This is the story of Jen and Dominic. The series is set in on Earth after it has been attacked and destroyed. She and some other women have been kidnapped and are sold to Dragon Shifters on another planet to basically be breeders. Dominic is the Crown Prince and requires a mate. When the women get there Jen decides they have nothing to lose and decides to stand up to the Dragon shifters in hopes of gaining their freedom. Dominic sees Jen and he immediately knows that she is his mate. But there is still the little matter of politics, a scorned lover and of course his father the King who sticks to the traditional ways. Will Dominic be able to claim the woman that is his mate? Will Jen accept Dominic or will she fight? Over all this was an good book with an interesting story-line and some nice characters, and some not so nice. It is a good start to the series and sets up the Dragon Shifters world and Earth nicely for the rest of the books.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Jen Davis was among the crowds of people standing outside eagerly watching large holoscreens display the faces of the space explorers who had left eight months ago and had just returned. She looked for Dennis Kinkaid, the Commander, wondering about the next step in their relationship now that he was finally home! Dennis was telling the reporter that he was retiring because something even greater was waiting for him here. Jen felt that he was looking right at her as he winked. Five hours later, he finished the debriefing and came over to Jen’s apartment. She was elated to have him back, but he looked ashen and spooked. When she asked what was wrong, he told her they needed to get out of there and as far away as they could. He asked her to quickly pack up all of her things. He paced back and forth and his eyes were filled with fear. Apparently they had killed some sort of pups for fresh meat – but it wasn’t simply an animal and “they” were coming after them now! The government was already working on an evacuation plan, but he wanted to get them out of there immediately, to catch a shuttle before the crowds started.
Suddenly a humming started as a spaceship hovered above. They ran outside and buildings around them started to crumble. Out of the dust, tall hairy silhouettes stepped forward, sniffing the air – creatures that were half-man, half-wolf. Jen realized the “pups” the astronauts had eaten must have been the creature’s children! The wolf-creatures leaped on the closest people and ripped them apart, then feasted on the corpse! Dennis ran toward them, offering himself if they would leave the others alone. The creature was unforgiving, not willing to accept that they only realized too late what they had done. It was only when Jen heard the crunch of bone as Dennis died that she finally turned and ran.
Jen joined a group of women who were staying together as they escaped. Half of them, at Karen’s urging, didn’t want her there and, after a vote, that half left the group. Samantha led the women Jen was with and they hid inside a library to rest. That night, the library door opened and they heard Karen remind an alien creature that he would let them live if she found the others for him! They moved to the fire escape exit and hurried down before the creature reached them, but it was right behind them! And as bad as this fate would be, it would pale in comparison when they were captured and taken into space to be given as an offering to dragons on another planet – not as slaves, as they thought, but as breeders!!!
This book goes into the category of not being my favorite. There were many gruesome parts and very little to lift my spirits, aside from the courage of some of the women. The story line did indeed move quickly and provided constant action and suspense. But I usually feel more in touch with the characters, focusing on them, caring and worrying. With this book, l instead was constantly looking around and waiting for the next disaster to happen! But this was just my own reaction and, if your mood takes you in another direction, this could be just what you are looking for. It wasn’t bad, it just didn’t grab and hold me as I had hoped.
I received this book as a gift through BookSprout as and Advanced Read and I would like to give an honest opinion of what I read.
This story is what I would think it would be like to take one of those rapid water rides. It starts out a calm and slow then suddenly you hit the rushing water, your heart trying to beat out of your chest, then to slows once again so you can enjoy the scenery. Everything is going along and then bam; again you are in the rapids once again. Only this time these rapids are like buckle up baby it is going to be one mean ride. My heart is still trying to settle after just finishing reading this book. So to say that it is good, and fantastic are just tiny verbs to what the story really is. Add thrilling in there as well. I loved it.
Jen Davis wasn’t awake when her boyfriend astronaut Dennis Kenncaid arrived back to Earth from his eight month journey. She wondered about the places that he had seen, the plant life or animal, and if he had found any alien life. It wasn’t until several hours later that she saw his face on the big screen and during the interview and he announced his retirement telling everyone he had much more a stake wait here at home for him. Jen did notice that he looked a little nervous after that, but didn’t put much thought into it. He came to her apartment that night frantic trying to get her to pack her clothes telling her that they had to leave right away, to get onto a shuttle off of the planet before it was too late. Jen didn’t understand until the humming started and saw all of the color drain out of Dennis’s face. Then her whole world turns upside down, inside out, a nightmare out of nightmares. She was then in the fight of her life. Bruised beaten and on an alien space ship headed out of the galaxy to some unknown destination she finds out about the outcome of the rest of planet Earth. There were just five women on the ship including her. The five that were with her at the last stand. Thay were being taken to these what these creatures called their Masters. To their unknown, and uncertain fate. Their captures began to be more forth coming about the Masters the talked about...the Dragons. The women were being sent there to be their breeders or their slaves. Jen was determined to find out but she knew that she wasn’t going to be a victim any more. Will she be able to survive the coming events or will she loose the battle of battles towards the end. One book worth the read.

Jen couldn't believe the day had come when her boyfriend astronaut would be back home. He'd been gone for months. When he shows up, he tries to get her to run with him. His crew found other life, and they destroyed what they thought were pups but ended up being children of space wolves. Not long after he has returned, the wolves show up & attack, intent on revenge. Boyfriend is the first to be destroyed. Jen runs for her life. She meets up with a group of women who are surviving together as they run. The group splits up when one of them blames all of this on Jen. When the group Jen is with hides in a library, they are found by the wolves thanks to the leader of the second group. Everyone in her town & Earth as a whole is destroyed except for Jen & the other 4 women in her group. They are captured & taken to their ship. When they all wake up they learn they are on their way to a planet of dragon shifters to be traded & to end up bearing their babies. Jen doesn't want to be a slave, but the moment she lays eyes on Dom she's attracted to him, even though she's grieving for her loss. Dom knows he has to have her, but he refuses to force her. She's not a slave or just there for breeding. He gives her a choice to stay & if she doesn't want to, he will let her go. Once she accepts him, he knows it won't take him long to fully claim her & gift her with a dragon of her own.
The story is action packed & keeps you on the edge of your seat. This story is filled with heartbreak, grieving and loss of loved ones, deception, acceptance, space royalty, steaminess, and love. It's different from most books that I have read, and I really enjoyed it. HEA is found.
An amazingly detailed and exciting beginning to what will be an EPIC paranormal series! If THE DRAGON’S GIFT is any indication, the newest series by the writing team of Set Eden and Anastacia Chase is going to be EPIC! From being kidnapped by wolf shifters from a dystopian earth, five women are sold to a planet of Dragon shifters who need breeders if their species is to survive. Jen, whose ex-boyfriend’s actions triggered the war with the shifter aliens is one of the five women who are captured and taken. Ambivalent about leaving the shattered planet of Earth behind, Jen and the other women realize they are “merchandise” and will be used by a group of wolf shifters who plan to earn a profit or at least good will by capturing and selling human woman as breeders. However, the Dragon shifters are not at all what the women expected, and Jen finds herself in a position to possibly help the other women who were captured with her. With WONDERFUL characters who are easy to like and root for and a compelling and action-packed storyline that will entertain and entice, THE DRAGON’S GIFT is one prequel that is exceptional and worth the time and price of admission! Get your copy today, so you can read Book one CLAIMED BY THE DRAGON in the series tomorrow! Happy pages! 😉
The story begins with an attack on the planet in retaliation for an incident with astronauts on an alien planet. Most of the planet is destroyed and people slaughtered. A handful of women are kidnapped by wolf shifters to be delivered to a planet of dragon shifters. Jen was the girlfriend of one of the astronauts and will stand up to their captors, hopefully for their freedom. Dominic is the crown prince and in need of a mate. When he sees Jen he knows she's for him. His father is old school (for dragons) in that the female chosen should be proud and has no say in the matter. Dominic doesn't agree. I liked the interaction between the two and the fact he wanted to give Jen the choice no matter what his father wanted. There are other twists involving dragon politics and a scorned lover. The one thing that bothered me was when Jen went with Dominic, the other women that were kidnapped were no longer important to her. I look forward to the next book.
The concept of this book sounded so intriguing, and the writer definitely has some talent however, there are so many loopholes and inconsistencies and ridiculous storylines that I couldn’t even finish the book... They killed the entire planet? The wolves are on a planet but that is advanced enough for space travel but our astronauts mistakenly killed their children as wild animals? Weren’t there any houses or buildings or anything to clue them in? The interaction between these five kidnapping women in the monster wolves that kidnap them is ridiculous. No one even questions why they can understand these alien walls and then the alien dragons? This woman was in love with her boyfriend but then jumps right into a relationship with the dragon? I can go on and on but I didn’t finish the book so I’m gonna stop there... I gave two stars because this author really could be a good writer.
There are plenty of gruesome moments in this book so if you are squeamish it may not be for you. If you don't mind blood and gore then this is atotal new take on shifters and aliens
Jen was waiting for her lover to return from space he was an astronaut who had visited new worlds What she didn't know was that he and his fellow astronauts had eaten the pups of some alien wolf shifters and they are now dent on revenge. She flees with Dennis but he is killed by the aliens bent on revenge Jen escapes with other women and hides in a library but they are betrayed by other women hoping to save themselves. Now she is a prisoner of the wolves but they are offering her as a tribute to dragons to become child bearers Can she survive on the dragon planet and what happens when her feelings for Dominic her captor change.
Loved this book about earth being destroyed by some wolves as we had killed all their pups. Only 5 women where left and taken to a different world where dragons ruled. Jen was one of the surviving women she ended up being with prince Dominic or Dom for short. Jen has a lot to think about staying their with Dom and becoming his wife. He lets her have the time to decide even though he wants her to pick him. Jen makes her mind up and decides to stay and be married which leads to her being poisoned and Dom learning who betrayed and poisoned her. Do gets into a fight while Jen is dying as he needs an antidote his father the king intervened and took over the fight so Dom could go back to Jen. A new dragon is made a king dies and a new king is crowned . Well written book once started couldn’t put book down waiting to read next book

Returning from a space trip, Jen’s boyfriend Dennis and his fellow space travellers have done a bad thing and angered the wrong aliens. Now those aliens have followed them home to Earth and they want vengeance. Running for her life, she and some other surviving woman are captured to be given as a offering. Imagining the worst, they are pleasantly surprised when they meet the powerful dragon shifters. Not everyone is happy to see them though. All Jen wants is to go home but, home no longer exists. Can she find a new happy life for herself while feeling guilty that she survived? This is an amazing book, I enjoyed it so much I read it in one go. Read it, you won’t regret it.

Sometimes, it pays to stop asking questions, and listen to your love. Adventure and fast moving action!Jen was just having a regular life when she witnesses her boyfriend, Commander Dennis Kincaid being killed. Jen hooks up with a group of organized women trying to escape and avoid led by Samantha. What would you do if faced with an untenable situation? Would you betray your team? Ws Karen wrong? Jen is wisked with 5 other women to an alien planet inhabited by dragons. She is gifted to Dominic, a dragon Prince. That is when the adventure begins. This story is a rollercoaster of adventure, emotions, crisis, decision points, fear, courage and a massive overdose of adrenaline! Ms. Chase has a winner! This has GOT to be a series! I received an ARC from Booksprout for a review
The Humans now know how to travel to deep space but still haven’t learned how to change their nature. A mistake done in space brings an alien race looking for revenge and wrecking havoc on Earth. This is how Jen (after seeing her boyfriend being murdered) and a group of women get abducted and taken to another galaxy as brides for a powerful race. Once there Jen discovers that there’s more to the race of dragon shifters than what she could expect. There’s beauty, life and love to be had after all the destruction and suffering. I liked the story but think some aspects could be a bit more explored with a bit more of back story building and the characters growth more developed (the reason why I am giving it four stars). I will be definitely be reading the next one

Wow what a fantastic combination of these two authors I loved it. The planet has practically been decimated and Jen is running from the aliens but she is captured and chained to a wall with 5 other women, Jennis petrified and she has no clue to what is going to happen to her but once she arrives on a different planet she is told that she will become a breeder a slave. Jen is given to the dragon prince Dominic he is fascinated and intrigued by Jen but he doesn’t want her as a slave or just a breeder he wants more even though he does want babies. Wow what a story it’s a little bit dark with violence etc but only a little, it’s a fantastic story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
Jen's astronaut boyfriend returns from space but something follows him bent on revenge. Jen was excited at the return of her boyfriend astronaut Dennis from an eight month mission but they were followed back. Wolf like alien attack killing everyone in the city but a few women that they take with them to use as gifts to the dragons and Jen s one of them. The dragons need women to help them breed and Jen fights against the idea but ends up with Dominic who tries to get her to accept him. A space shifter romance to relax and enjoy.

The Dragon’s Gift by Anastasia Chase is a tale full of the fight for life. This story begins when five women are abducted from Earth during an alien attack. They are then taken to another galaxy and given as part of a trade agreement to a race of dragon shifters. One women within this group is named Jen and she ends up with Dominic the prince of the dragon shifters. This story is full of adventure, excitement, sensual encounters, and reads much like an outer space fairytale that definitely ends with a happy ever after ending. This is a fun and engaging tale that any romance reader will enjoy as much as I did. The Dragon’s Gift is an enchanting alien dragon love story.
This is a fairly short story which has believable characters, well as believable as they can be in a shifter story. There is a possible trigger in this story for some people, even though it’s not reality the human women are kidnapped and sold which may be an issue for some. If it isn’t then you are in for a wonderful read. It’s a good job the book isn’t overly long as once I began reading, I was mesmerized and didn’t put the book down till I had finished the last page. It’s a really great story and well worth the read.

A very different alien abduction /shifter story , less romance more survival and a lot of action. Earth has been destroyed yet still has the resources to travel in space where humans are once again thoughtlessly destroying things and the consequences are devastating. It is a very well written book but not a happiness and lights story even if it does have a hea Well worth a read

The story starts out rather gruesome and has some violence later on but there is more to it than that. I found the relationships between the women interesting with their different personalities and how they reacted to things. Jen proved to be a strong, smart, resilient woman who wasn't afraid to speak her mind. She and Dom were a perfect fit. They were playful with one another and learned a lot from each other. The dragon planet sounded wonderful and was well described. Unfortunately there are evil dragons and humans that wish to cause trouble.
This is a wonderful story about Jen who is captured along with four other women and taken to another planet. When Jen is traded to a prince she is given a choice to be set free or to marry the prince and become like him.. The women of this world are unable to reproduce so the men have to trade for women that they are compatible with. This is a great story with great pain as well as great joy. I highly recommend this story. will look forward for more from this storyteller.

Earth is attacked in retaliation for a slaughter commited by Earth's astronauts. Only a handful of woman survive, to be taken to a planet far away - as a present to the dragon-lords living there. One of the women is Jen, and she is chosen by the prince of the area, who woos her gently. When all seems fine hell suddenly breaks loose and a hidden enemy shows itself. An entertaining story, well-written and fun to read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A gift? Or a royal treasure? Anastasia’s story line kept me interested and engaged from beginning to end. The characters are believable and relatable in the context of a paranormal storyline. Jen has a fiery, passionate personality. She doesn’t cower and back down even for a dragon Prince. The hero of the story is Dominic, the dragon Prince. Dominic has been searching for his mate for years and he knows it’s Jen. But he wants Jen to make the choice. There is a sinister subplot and a few twists and turns to the story. These two find their HEA. Definitely worth reading.
I am not usually a fan of dragon shifter books, but as an advance reviewer I went ahead and read THE DRAGON’S GIFT. I am so glad that I did. The story starts with a lonely young woman, as the story progresses you become pulled deeper in. Just when you think what else could happen, you are pulled even deeper into Jen’s life. This is a book you will count as one of your favorites it truly is well written and an overall great read.
