Survival is just the beginning. Ella must fight for love and freedom on the rim of the galaxy...
Years ago, the skies blackened with the arrival of the Vepar to Earth. Dominant and secretive, they changed the world, ruling over Earth with fear.
Ella’s always been a survivor, a fighter. But now kidnapped, she finds herself on a foreign planet and running for her life. The three men she fell for made a mistake. A grave mistake, and now their blood-mate, Ella must pay the price. Fear drives them to keep Ella safe from the monsters who are determined to hunt her down and use the power in her blood for their own deadly purposes.
But what happens when Ella finds out that Thane, Derrial, and Corran might be the monsters she needs to fear the most….
I'm a wife, mother, and author! Writing has always been a passion for me, and publishing my first series is a dream come true. I drink too much caffeine, never sleep, and my imagination is always churning out ideas. Eva and her men have been in my head for awhile, and I'm so glad to finally take you with me on this journey!
I normally don't nitpick over errors but for the love of God can the authors not remember the eye color they gave their own characters? It became so distracting that throughout all 3 books so far they kept changing Thane's eye color between blue and green and then in this book started doing it to Derrial as well. I feel like they sat down, wrote out all the physical attributes of the characters in the beginning, and one wrote green and the other wrote blue. Then they wrote their separate passages and somehow they didn't read each others parts and catch it. Uh hello where are the beta readers and editors and how did nobody catch it? It got so irritating it ruined the story for me. Though I have to say I don't like the h at all and for the first time ever I feel that she actually is a character that is TSTL. Because of my OCD I'm gonna read the final book for story closure but I hope that it's uphill from here and ends on a high note.
To say Ella is weak FMC would be an understatement. She was betrayed on so many levels yet she constantly forgave. I don't mean days, weeks, months, or years for her to forgive we are talking within 5 minutes or less of the betrayal she was wrapped back into the warped love. I kept thinking this would turn around for me but I was dead wrong.
This reader will not be picking up the final installment....this one was all I needed.
I just can’t keep reading this series. The FMC changes her mind every twenty seconds and is too immature and stupid to make good decisions. As with the other books, there are grammatical errors and continuity errors that make following the story a challenge. I finally started skimming in order to make it through.
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review of.
Things are getting rough for Ella by this point. She is in the custody of the Council totally at their mercy as they pretty much keep drugging her. Each time she wakes up she has no clue what has been done to her. Escaping comes with a whole new set of problems though I must say she is very resourceful when it comes to her survival. When she finally finds her mates again things really get interesting as they try to figure what happened, what will happen, and what they are going to do about it. Book four is going to be fantastic. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
Ella has been kidnapped, more than once. She has been subjected to experiments, more than once. all because of her blood. But she also found love. Now once again she finds herself at the mercy of uncaring monsters who want to use her. Once again, she must find a way to escape, to survive.
I must admit, I struggled through parts of this book. It's well written, it's action-packed, and there are plenty of unexpected moments. However...I struggle with Ella. I've had enough of her inner turmoil and her poor decision making. Yes, the men you love have done some horrible things by Earth's standards. Either decide you can live with this or don't but stop going back and forth each chapter. And stop making ridiculous, spur of the moment decisions that endanger everyone and require a rescue. And enough of the caveman behavior from the guys. Stop keeping secrets, stop being misogynistic. I would like to see signs of true love and affection, not ownership and dependency. Do they even respect this girl or is the blood bond their only motivation? Their relationship is not healthy and I can't even decide at this point if I want everything to work out. I do want to see the Council destroyed and this society given a fresh start. I do want to see other parts of the story play out as well and I have hopes that these characters find their way into my heart before it's all over.
Wow, ok this book has a bunch of stuff going on. I don't want to give away too much because you need to read it for yourself, but Ella makes some really stupid decisions (which I am beginning to think is her default), she is having a hard time trusting her guys because they are not telling her everything, and they all find out that there's a lot going on, on Veon that they had no idea about. I know that Ella has been through a lot, but damn girl think before you act. I really enjoyed reading this book and could not put it down. When these two authors get together, you know you are in for a treat.
3,5 ish stars it was just a bit hard reading about how woman and humans where treated like slaves and stuff. i have had ups and downs with the guys, in one moment i really like them and in the next i don´t looking forward to the next and the last book in this series! hopefully we don´t have to wait that long
Totally engrossing and I couldn't put this book down, I read the first 3 in one day buuut, nope. I can't do it these men did HORRID thing to her and she falls in love because their nice about it? Common!?! She's mad for a proximity 2 min until they save her stupid ass AGAIN from another horrible situation they put her into and then she's so grateful she just forgets that she's only in these situations because of them? I kept waiting for her to FINALLY do SOMEYHING but nope. I couldn't put this series down until this book. This book is MT breaking point. Won't continue series.
This series was only mildly interesting to begin with. But this book was nothing but making the main character seem childish. Then it was introducing characters with very little resolution. I am not going to make it through the last book. It’s a waste of time.
I really enjoyed the first book in this series but each subsequent book has left me less and less impressed. The drama and the action is still jam packed in this book but Ella is beginning to frustrate me.
Ella has learned of even more secrets, lies, omissions, and betrayals about her 3 alien men. She went from being furious with them all to almost completely forgetting about what she had learned. Not once did she confront them about the secrets she had learned. I think the authors were trying to convey unconditional love between the 4 of them but that doesn’t mean to turn a blind eye to something as monumental as what Ella has learned. I just get the feeling that Ella’s reactions and her relationships is unrealistic, unhealthy, and just hard to embrace for me as the reader.
There is only one book left in the series so I plan on finishing it but I just keep losing my interest more with each book unfortunately.
Well this book was full of surprises, from capture to capture then some sort of freedom, to finding a lost loved one to ensuring their freedom. From betrayal to tender moments this book has it all. Ella can make some dumb moves at times whilst other times she’s like the heroine. The guys have changed so much over the course of this series and yes it maybe because of Ella but I think its a collection of things that have created this change. This book doesn’t end on a major cliffhanger like the rest of the series. The story still needs to finish as the guys have just made a decision on their next move and we need to know what happens next to Ella. I’ve enjoyed this series so far and just need to read the last book.
This book was filled with so much edge of your seat action. Ella was at the forefront of it all. Her emotions were all over the place. Which sometimes made her make stupid decisions. Being stolen from the guys just when they were going to be happy mates and given to the monsters for their barbaric mate run. Just when you think Ella got of a bad situation and things would be better for the guys and her. She would get all in her feelings and cause trouble. This book didn't let up in intensity, drama or action. So much happened back to back I could hardly keep up. This book and the whole series is well worth reading.
I’ve really enjoyed this series from the start, and this one was no different. As action packed with so much happening to Ella and between her and the guys. My only complaint is Ella is still a bit of a pushover, forgiving the guys really easily for some things without much ado. I’d like to see her develop more of a backbone and give as good as she gets. It started some with this book, but I’d still like to see a bit more growth from her. But all in all I really like this series, as well as the world and characters the authors have created together. Can’t wait to dive into the next installment.
This book picks up where the previous book left off. Ella is in the clutches of a bunch of scientists and Thane, Derrial and Corran are determined to get her back. More of the truth comes to light and the Vepar have a lot to atone for. I love how Ella isn't a meek doormat. She fights for what she loves and it truly shows in this book. The plot is very well paced and once I started reading this book, I couldn't stop until I was finished. It's so well-written and kept my attention the entire time.
Poor Ella! She just keeps getting the bad end of everything. Now there’s a virus outbreak thats like world war z. At least one good thing Ella finds out about her parents and Veni got her come upon!!! Also, the guys seem to be finally changing for the better for Ella!!! Can’t wait to read the next book and see where this virus will go and pray that baby is one of her guys and not the fertility programs success. How I want those doctors heads for doing what they did to Ella!!
This series of books have been edging me, I felt like they were just good enough to keep me hooked but this book just fell flat.
The story repeats itself - she’s annoyed by these three men (or aliens) as they’ve done something unforgivable, like kidnap her, then they all come close to death and she finds herself falling in love with them and nothing can dissuade her, she has bad sex with one of them, repeat.
By the fifth time, i.e., this book, I was bored.
Just to top it off the FMC is portrayed, particularly in this book, as weak and not able to be without these men! Yuck!
I liked book one. I liked book two. I got halfway through this one and quit. The world building is unrealistic and kind of confusing. The three main male characters failed to grow this book and the dialogue is flat and repetitive. The female main character is whiney and just stupid. They magically are able to save the damsel every time and its just so convenient. I did skip to the end to see if I could spark interest for the next book. Still a no-go.
Another great instalment in what is an awesome series. Ellas adventure on the planet Vern continue, she finally decided she’s in love with her Vepar men. There are so many things that are not right around her though, how is she and her men goi g to solve them. I can’t wait for the next book to see how all the pieces come together. Highly recommended.
This one was better than the book immediately preceding it in the series. The characters still seem a little one dimensional — more should be done to individualize the men than just the way they like to have sex. Other than that, it’s a pretty interesting storyline.
So this series started out so good I was really enjoying it but after the first two books it started going downhill don’t get me wrong. I will be continuing onto the last book just to finish out the series, but this particular book was not it for me. three stars.⭐️⭐️⭐️
Action packed book. The beginning was a bit to much for me and I had to stop reading it and wait to get in the right spirit. Overall very good. Will be definitely reading the next one.
Oh snap! Ella has had a rough go of it in this book, just about every horrible scenario you can think of was thrown at her. Her and the guys definitely have some challenges to face pretty soon. I look forward to seeing how they handle them.
These books just keep getting more and more exciting. I am exhausted trying to help. Lol I get so wrapped up in the story that I feel like I have to help them. Getting ready for book four and the conclusion of a very appealing series.
Finding her dad after being "sold" to another alien race, Elle's adventure to understand her aliens and the new world progresses. Getting to read from the POV of each character is great, but could have been longer. One more book to complete the series....oh and Elle is pregnant.
Everything is built on lies and deceit. All 3 lie continually to Ella. Kidnapping, drugging keep who and what they are from her. Hoped the series would get better but no. Sorry, but you don't just fall in love with someone that deceitful. She claims that she hates them and can never forgive them but literally turns around and forgives them. Hard pass.
