We are now in the midst of a world wide pandemic and the release of this book is perfect timing. Suddenly, it is impossible to get a professional hair cut, makeup is seldom used, and dressing in our "Sunday Best" seems to be a vague memory. Amazing is certainly not the word we would use to describe ourselves right now because we tend to think in physical terms but author Amy Seiffert assures us that God sees each of us differently. He knows our thoughts and He sees our inner beauty and He thinks that "My grace looks amazing on you." God is offering us His wonderful gift of grace but are we willing to accept it? More importantly, are we willing to extend love and forgiveness to others? Will the amazing person that God sees be visible to everyone else?
Most of us need encouragement and inspiration and Grace Looks Amazing On You is an ideal answer to our needs. There are one hundred devotions in this book and I felt like Seiffert was talking to me personally as she shares biblical truth with both humor and wisdom. The scripture, short devotion, and Grace Reflection for each day all contribute to make this a valuable resource for both personal devotion time or a group Bible study.

Amy’s words are food for the soul. Grace.. such a beautiful word and an even more beautiful book. During this season this book cannot be more fitting. Amy Seiffert has done it again. I absolutely loved her first book, Chin Up, and I feel just as favorably about this one. This book has been such a gift in my life right now, providing simple moments to quiet my mind and steady my heart. Amy’s words will make you feel encouraged and rooted for, all with such humbling honesty, humor and grace. One of my favorite parts says this, “Because we so often think, When my enemies are gone, then I will feast. When the darkness subsides, then I will enjoy a full cup. When everything calms down, then I will know goodness and mercy. When I finally get that raise or a new boss, or when the test results show progress, or when life seems like it’s getting better, then I will be content. But the gift of grace from God in the valley is even better than that. God says you can be content now. He has prepared a table and a place for you with Him, while your enemies are still in sight.” With something for everyone and every day, Grace Looks Amazing On You will be a book I keep close in sight to pick up and reread often. ❤️

"I sit quietly with my palms facing the floor and softly name all the hard things. After I have whispered everything plaguing my soul—from the grocery list to the grief of change in my life—I slowly turn my palms up and ask God to fill me with Him. With peace, hope, joy, love, faithfulness, and patience. I imagine His taking over my soul. I calm the circus, quiet the animals, and let God be the ringmaster of my mind."
Obviously I have only good things to say about this book; but more importantly, is my observation that whenever I opened this book, I landed exactly on the page that I needed in that moment. If that's not God guiding my hand, I don't know what is.
I am glad I took my time with this book. Over 5 months if I recall correctly. Every moment with it was worth it.
Not that I need to explain myself or my overflowing love for this book to anyone, I do feel a need to state this: If one truly understands God and the Godly word, one can easily see that all holy books, all the scriptures say the same thing... Be good, be kind, be honest. It is OK (and needs to be normalised more) to love God & feel near to Him/Her, and yet not buy into any one version of organised religion/the dogmas of faith.

Great Message, More Geared Towards Female Readers
This was a splendid book.
I really love the way Amy writes. Personal and candid, but also strong and welcoming.
I got a lot out of this book, and found it a great Christian book.
The only downside is that it is very much written for a female audience, so just be forwarned if you are a fellow male.
Would recommend though! Grace is an amazing quality.

This beautiful 100 day devotional is one that I won't soon forget. Honest, real and encouraging, you do not want to miss "Grace Looks Amazing On You." Seiffert takes the reader to a deeper understanding of what grace truly is and what that looks like when it is applied to our lives.
Lovely, hardbound edition would be a great gift any time of the year. I think the messages in this book are applicable to anyone who has always been the first to give grace, but less inclined to accept it for themselves.

April 7, 2020Amy writes as if you were talking to a friend: sometimes funny, sometimes embarrassing, sometimes really serious, but all delivered with love and truth. This book is meant to be enjoyed slowly (and that is really hard!) but it helps open you up to see the grace moments all around you.

When I read this book it’s like your best friend building you up each day, full of encouragement and truth. Each time I open up this devotional I am reminded of who God truly is, what He thinks of me and how much He loves us and wants to be with us. This book is full of real life stories that evoke all the emotions. I find myself smiling and laughing, tearing up and relating on so many levels. Maybe you are in a season where you feel like you don’t have time to read a book, or even time to get into your Bible. If that’s you then I want to even MORE so encourage YOU to pick up this devotional. Each daily reading is short and accessible, yet the content is uplifting and so relevant. Each day I get a little scripture to cling to and mull over with a real life application/narrative full of the wisdom and encouragement that flows out of Amy Seiffert. What is not to love? Thank you Amy for doing such a beautiful job in articulating God’s grace. We need it every moment and your book is covering us in it.

I wholeheartedly recommend this devotional to anyone looking for a simple on-ramp into deeper connection with God and His Grace. Amy invites her readers into the grace-filled life through the ordinary things of life and does so with vulnerability, humor, grace, and wisdom. Amy's words are not hollow propositions from a textbook; they are so clearly birthed out of her own life's valleys and mountaintops, which she shares generously.
The Grace Reflections at the end of each devotional are exceptional. Each one offers a way to experientially internalize the day's truth. These practices are simple, yet profound. This beautiful devotional is exactly what we all need to have in our lives — during the good/easy and bad/difficult times. For years, I’ve been the type of person who puts a lot of my faith in those every day moments or the “little” things in life. But I have often found myself wondering if I truly have the grace that comes along with it.
Amy Seiffert provides the perfect balance of personal stories and Biblical scriptures/truths for smooth reading each day. Each morning, I have been taking time out to myself to read through the short chapters of this beautiful book. It’s been almost as though each day is written specifically for me. They give me manageable pieces to work with and grow in grace.

In a chaotic season of life, I was left many nights feeling exhausted and empty. I was craving a devotional with substance that I could crawl into bed with and end my days on a higher note. This book has given me so much more than I anticipated. I always judge my books based on whether or not I find sentences worthy of being underlined. I’ve underlined, dog-eared, and then some. Not only are the writer’s words raw and meaningful, but it feels like I’m enjoying the company of a dear friend. The devotional each day is short and sweet yet packed full of truth - perfect for my busy mama heart. The reflection at the end of each day is my favorite part of all. It’s a way for me go deeper and connect with God. I think we could all use more reminders of God’s Grace in our lives, and this book has given me the chance to see God working in all the details of my life. Instead of going to bed anxious, I’m filled with God’s Grace and peace. I had no idea how much I would need this book, but God did. It has truly been a blessing.

Each day has a different message with scripture as well as personal touches for this amazing lady. I think it is perfect this book is releasing in the situation we are currently going through in our world. (God planned for sure) I am personally a mom of four girls and my babies needs grace and lots of it but who also needs grace is this Mama!!! Here are some quotes I loved from the book:

Grace Looks Amazing on You is a wonderful devotional. I had the opportunity to hear Amy at a conference. I felt like she was living my life. Reading this book I feel the same way, like she was writing it for me. Amy is so personable and honest in her stories. I love how the days are set up, a verse, a story and then reflection. It gives you something to think about through your day. There are pages with a design and sayings, those I wish I could post in multiple places to see them often. This book came out during a pandemic that has rocked the world. There were many days I read that really seemed like they were written for what was going on that day. It gave me a peace of mind. It made me really understand that God gives grace to me all the time and I need to also give myself grace.

Amy covers all aspects of a good book: personal/relatable stories and experiences, Bible Verses and Grace reflections. What a blessing this devotional has been! The daily readings are short yet so relatable to every day life. Ironically, I started reading this just before the COVID19 pandemic went into full swing. Each devotional feels like it was written to encourage the reader specifically through such a time. I am daily reminded that His Grace is sufficient!! And that Grace that He so freely gives, looks amazing even on a stressed out momma like me. A momma of 1st grade twins trying to homeschool and keep up with a full-time job while leading my family through these uncertain times.

Grace Looks Amazing On You, it sure does! I knew that God has given us this beautiful gift of grace. We are filled with it because He loves us deeply. His love and grace are a gift to us and we are to share that gift with those around us. This book reminds us that we are full of grace. Sometimes we forget, may not feel it, but it is there every day. From starting with a scripture to ending with a question or prayer, filled with a person story each day is filled with creating a deeper connection with God and remind us we are filled with grace in everything we do. Beautiful quotes scattered throughout as a reminder of grace is, looks like, feels like. Reaching deeply into our hearts, filling is up Amy does an amazing way with her words helping to carry us through the day.

When a book makes you laugh, cry, ask big questions, and soul search within its first chapters, you know it’s going to be a winner. That’s what Amy has done with her book Grace Looks Amazing On You. Within the first pages, her comparison of maturity and growth to that of a towering oak had me speechless. What a lovely take on the journey of life and God’s role in shaping us into something mighty. She helps her readers step back and look at the bigger, eternal picture all while weaving in hilarious anecdotes and real looks at her life as a wife and mom. I find myself already talking about this gem to the people in my life—she has touched my heart with it. God has touched my heart through her.

Refreshing, raw, and real. Amy's words are refreshing, water to the soul. Her heart is raw, tender towards Him and tender towards the daily struggles we all face. Her perspective is real. Amy knows the real value of His Grace. Not simply because she has studied and proven herself but because she herself wears His Grace. She knows to put it on every day. It is evident in every word on every page! Thank you Amy for sharing His Grace and writing in a way that feels like you're sitting across the table sharing your heart with the reader. The first several sentences of even just the Introduction key in to Amy's honesty and genuineness as an author. She starts out saying, "Amazing is not the word I would use to describe myself. I have judged a mom for yelling at her kids in the grocery store parking lot (why can't she get it under control?) only to close the car door and lose it on my own kids." What mom can't relate to that? I know I can! Throughout this devotional she continues to share honest and relatable anecdotes of her own life coupled with scripture and Truth to demonstrate how God's grace can practically look in our own daily lives. She doesn't speak as one who has it all together, but as one who is learning to live in God's grace right along with the reader. And that's her message - we all need grace and when we receive this gift from God, it looks amazing on us!

Grace Looks Amazing on You touched my heart in such a deep and personal way. Every day’s reflection felt like it was written just for me — reminding me that God’s love meets us right where we are, even in the mess, the doubt, and the exhaustion.
There were so many moments that made me pause and pray. The stories about letting go of guilt, showing grace to ourselves, and trusting God’s timing really hit home. One of my favorite parts was when the author talked about how grace isn’t about earning love, but receiving it — that truth brought me to tears.
I didn’t expect a devotional to move me this much, but it truly did. It encouraged me to see God’s beauty in everyday moments and reminded me that His grace really does look amazing on all of us. A book I’ll come back to again and again. 💛

It can be hard to make time to pause and connect with God or just reflect on how I’m doing or what life is teaching me and in the midst of all the craziness this book makes it possible. In just 5 minutes a day, Amy’s words are the pick-me-up I often need to feel more seen and less alone in it all. She’s so relatable and the words she shares use imagery that is so colorful and crisp you actually feel it. I recommend this book to every woman in my life- it transcends marital status or parenthood and meets you wherever you are. Not to mention- the cover is BEAUTIFUL- I leave it on my coffee table as art and it reminds me to pick it up every day!

Grace! I love this book! This wonderful devotional book is just a blessing. The devotions are great for a quick morning read or for ending the day before bed. Each day is tied to scripture. Amy shares many personal stories that are so relatable about grace. Daily reminders to give yourself and others grace and just trust in the Lord. I love that every day the passage ends with a prayer or a question to reflect on. As a busy mom of two little ones and a teacher, I struggle to find time for myself and devotions, but this book is perfect to make that time and fit into a busy day. Just a few minutes of quiet with this book each day is peace. This book is awesome and I highly recommend it!

Each devotional is short, 1-2 pages, but you will find yourself thinking about the words and the scripture throughout your day.
My favorite part are the Grace Reflections at the end of each story. For me it's my 'food for thought', my homework, my chance to speak to God and grow in His grace.

Grace is a word I hear often but not something I would define myself as possessing. It is something I wanted to dig deeper into. What is grace and how does Gods grace change my day to day life. This book opens my eyes up to see God's grace all over the place, in places I had not even noticed it and it challenges me to reflect the grace that I see and that God gives me, to others. This would be a great gift for yourself and any woman in your life! It is an easy to read, quick read format that gives you a devotion each day to think on throughout the day.

This book is exactly what you need! Many times we get caught up in the comparison game or negative self talk and stay there in this viscous cycle. GLAOY will help you realize how amazing you are in the eyes of God and that he meets you right where you are and loves you just the way you are. Amy has a way of story telling that draws you in and you don't want to stop at just your daily devotional. I would highly recommend this book if you are looking for that extra special from the heart gift for someone you love!

I loved this book from the start, it will speak to each person on a different level and also encourage you. No matter what level you are on this book is for you it shows you that God gives us all Grace and we need to give ourselves Grace. It shows us that we are all rough days but because of God's Love and his Grace we can make it through. I love the scriptures that she uses in the book and at the end of each day she has a reflection moment.
