In "Separated," two sisters are high school students, Taylor is a senior while Adele is a sophomore. Like many siblings, they have different personalities and interests and they frequently argue. One fateful day, their simultaneous wishes to no longer be sisters is granted. They soon enter an alternate reality in which they go to the same school, but live in different homes with separate families. When a popular bully at school targets Taylor for revenge, Adele must choose between popularity and her former sibling. I really enjoyed this story, and it's ultimate messages of loyalty, friendship, and family bonds!

Such a FUN read! I didn't know what to expect when I first got into this story, but I was very pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it! This is a lighthearted, fun read, and I thought it was very well written. It was also thoroughly edited--I only noticed one or maybe two typos in the entire novel. I love the Freaky Friday movies (both the Jodie Foster version and the Jamie Lee Curtis/Lindsay Lohan version are great), so I really enjoyed this author's retelling. It was similar, but also unique in its story line, and I enjoyed all of the characters. The love interest was my favorite -- he's just a really great guy, and the "mean girl" antagonist is a character you love to hate. I also liked the twist, and I thought the ending was fitting.

If you're looking for a good book that you can curl up and relax with and enjoy, look no further! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this super-fun read!

I liked the concept of this book, it's sort of a you don't know what you have until it's gone themed. One of the other reviewers said it was a cross between Freaky Friday and Mean Girls, and I think that's apt. The characters were very likable and the writing made for easy reading. I did wish that the main character went a little further into her internal thoughts. A lot of the drama surrounded High School, friends, love interest and prom. All the typical things you would expect when your main characters are a sophomore & junior in HS. I thought the author did a nice job taking you on that ride and giving you a good villain to root against. Nice job on the ending too, a nice little twist for the reader.

Surprisingly enjoyable

The book was a true joy to read. The clash of the sisters and then the determination to not let anyone come against either one was cute. I loved the characters and couldn’t put it down. I just had to know how it ended.
