The story you are about to read is told from the perspective of Julien, a young journalist in close proximity to a person the Bible calls the “Beast.” Julien will give us a window into the character of the Antichrist and how our last days could unfold according to Scripture’s ultimate plot. This imagined prophetic narrative will also reveal how this coming prince may alter reality and impact humankind--and eventually transform into the most malevolent human in history.
But what can be known about this man? What does the Bible actually say about this nefarious individual? How close are we to his unveiling?
More than a suspenseful mystery, however, this speculative account will arouse your prophetic curiosity, whetting your appetite for more information, more solid biblical food on the subject. And you’ll find that in the last section of the book.
Your imagination and curiosity will soar in this raw, rugged, often shocking account of the rise of the Antichrist.

I can't help but compare this book to the Left Behind series. This was obviously much shorter than the 13 books of that series, but I felt that was a positive for the author's take on the antichrist. This enemy character was very well done and Scripturally sound. I appreciated the author's inclusion of a chapter citing Bible verses for all of the attributes given to the antichrist and the choices made in the world in the story. The ending felt a bit abrupt, but what comes next is clearly found in Revelation and I think would be best suited to be captured with a sequel. Perhaps that's wishful thinking, but I would gladly read more fiction from Jeff Kinley. I'm also interested in reading his nonfiction and prophecy books now, as he clearly knows the Bible well.
This is my first read by this author. I don't care for books that tell you what's happening as you can't get personally involved, but I knew going in this book would be like that as he is doing an interview. The book is a fiction read but the author followed scripture. I knew a lot of what was happening will come to pass. I still thoroughly enjoyed the book. I think the thing that rang true for me was how easily people are deceived. I like the way the author ended the book. I also enjoyed the questions and answers in the last section of the book. People wonder about a lot of these questions and he backs up answers with scripture. I do indeed recommend this book. I received a complimentary copy from the Publisher via NetGalley for my honest opinion.
This book is geared toward the Left Behind readers. The concept is interesting but the end is known so the book doesn't end there, it ends sooner with a hint of what is to happen to the main character. It just left me feeling... hanging, just left there, disappointed, surprised that it ended that way. It was unfulfilling.
However, it was fascinating to see the story unfold, something that many feel will really happen unfolding, or how it might unfold.
So, if you're a Christian interested in the Rapture and fiction and the anti-Christ, then I suggest you read this book, I don't think there are many like it. All in all, once I got over the ending, I decided the ending was appropriate, it was just abrupt. The story was told well, the topic interesting to me as a Christian that believes in the Rapture and the anti-Christ.
It's possible that the more I think about this book the more I'll appreciate it, it's that type of book, but for now I give it 3 stars.
I think part of the reason that it seems to end so abruptly is that there are quite a few pages afterwards. The author talks about the anti-Christ, the "end times" and the Rapture etc. using bible verses to back him up. The book was thoughtful and a means of answering questions or at least support the authors suppositions.
The book is well written and all the events are doctrinal sound but for me the book was missing the details and descriptions of the horror and sin which will be running rampant during this time.
Read this one awhile ago: great fictional book that writes of the Antichrist and places him into society today of how his rise to fame and political prominence could happen. Very thought provoking and in line with scripture on the events. Will probably read again soon
A short but solid delve into the possibilities of the end times. I won’t be doing a full review for this as, while certainly a fantasy/science fiction for part of it, speculative fiction more fits the genre and I don’t think I could give a proper analysis. My favorite part was actually the study section at the end. The references and time taken there were a fantastic conversation to have. I really do enjoy this and, though the story wasn’t perfect, it’s a great journey through what might be and really gets you thinking as to what we’re looking for when we say freedom, peace, and unity.
"Interview with the Antichrist" summarizes what the Bible says about the Tribulation using a fictional structure. The point of view character is a journalist who thinks back about how he met and interacted with the man that the Bible calls the Antichrist. We jump back and forth between this later time and the progression of events throughout the seven years. As obvious from the title, much of the book is the characters talking about what has happened: how the mysterious disappearance of thousands of people left the world in chaos, how this opened an opportunity for the leader to take control, and some of his plans for future economic and political unity. The journalist also thinks back about the various wars, famine, etc., that happened during this time and how they impacted things. The journalist was an actual witness to some major events involving the Antichrist, like when Julien sees the Antichrist alive after he has been reported dead. The book ends right before the events of Armageddon, and I assume that this is intended to intrigue the reader into reading the Bible to find out what happens.
At the end of the book, the author talked about what the Bible actually says about the Antichrist. This book was a quick read. I'd recommend it to people who think this sounds like an interesting way to learn more about the Tribulation and the Antichrist.
I received this book as a review copy from the author's wife.
This book had really great potential and I will definitely read more from the author. However, so much detail was glossed over in what was happening during the Tribulation.
And then there were some situations that were just not believable. i.e. the scene towards the end where the journalist finds an open café. I have a very hard time believing that after 6 years into the Tribulation, ANY obscure café will be randomly open for business and provide a free meal. There's so much that makes this impossible.
Overall, it was well written, just seriously lacking in additional detail of the events of the day. The two witnesses are pretty glossed over, there's no mention of the witnessing angels, and a potential contradiction with scripture when the Antichrist "doesn't care" what form of currency is used, so long as one takes the mark. The Bible is pretty clear that the One World government will have a unified economic system. I don't see the Antichrist in all of his arrogance and domination EVER allowing multiple forms of money being used. There will be global control and governance.

Fiction Based on Fact Jeff Kinley is best known for his non-fiction works – especially those dealing with Bible Prophecy. However, “Interview with the Antichrist” is a page-turning, fictional narrative based on real future events. The book tells the story of journalist, Julien DeClercq, as he reflects on how he was given the job of “chronicling the life and career” of the new President of the European Alliance of Nations. The president rose to power three and half years earlier, right after the mysterious disappearance of millions of people. The charismatic leader users in a new age of peace, but chaos begins when he is assassinated. The world situation continues to decline when the president unexpectedly “rises” from the dead and institutes a new “mark” required for all buying and selling. Kinley’s story is fast-paced and fact-based. He draws heavily on the Books of Daniel and Revelation to reveal “the prince who is to come.” Overall, I really enjoyed the story, and found the book difficult to put down. I highly recommend it.
This book wasn't entirely what I expected. When I saw "interview", I guess I expected more of a question and answer format. For the most part, that was missing. Yes, there are a few questions posed by Julien but for the most part, the interview consists of The President talking at length while Julien records it. Julien is more of a biographer than an interviewer.
I also felt that I never really engaged with any of the characters in the book. It seemed like they were there solely as a vehicle for the author to get his points across about his beliefs on end time prophecy. I'm not sure it would encourage people to look into the Bible more or not. For some, I guess it would, but if the person wasn't already inclined to do so . . . I'm not sure.
It didn't really surprise me to find out that the author tends to speak/lecture on Biblical prophecy. I could see that influence in his attempt to write fiction.
A fictionalized account of the rising power of the antichrist who calls himself the One and destroys the Ark of the Covenant in Jerusalem and sits on the Ark as if it were his throne. A young journalist becomes his biographer and write down his words and thoughts. He also has a friend who is given the title of minister of affairs (this is the false prophet). Great tribulations occur and people look to the One as he promises peace and prosperity. At the end of the book, Mr. Kinley answers questions that many people have asked about the Rapture and the rise of the antichrist. We all know we are living in the end time now and this is a powerful book.
Kinley does a fine job of taking the biblical prophecies about the tribulation and the Antichrist and weaving them into a first person narrative from the point of view of Julian, a young reporter from Belgium who is picked to be the Antichrist’s biographer and scribe. I had requested my library purchase this book, but when they did they got the audiobook edition. I really wish I had been able to read the physical copy because the audiobook narrator was extremely distracting. He attempted to do foreign accents for all the characters but couldn’t keep them all straight and the accents were a jumbled mess that sounded like a cross between Dustin Hoffman’s Shifu, Ben Kingsley’s Gandhi, and a vampire mafia boss.
Jeff Kinley gives us clear teaching in fascinating novel form of how the biblical tribulation begins and progresses and how the antichrist becomes a man of power during the seven year tribulation foretold in Daniel and Revelation of the Bible. The disasters that cause half of the world’s population to die are clearly foretold in the book of Revelation, and explained in a logical way how this could actually happen. This is well written and researched. Especially don’t forget to read the last part of the book which gives all the biblical research and proof involved.
This was not what I was expecting. It was very slow to begin..very slow. Picked up about 3/4 of the way through the main story..but I was missing (expecting) Bible knowledge as the story unfolded. Then just as it is getting exciting...the story end. And I am not worried that I do not know the rest of the story. Personally I was hoping the interviewer was on the line about God and the anti Christ..and he would do some research as to what others said about the man of lawlessness. And he would come to the knowledge of the truth and The Real Christ. But even if he does it is too late. What I got was a good story, good writing and lots of Bible facts/knowledge at the end of the story.

Book turned out not at all what I thought it would be like.
Told from the perspective of a nonbeliever that stays that way despite all that occurs during the Antichrist’s rise and rein. Ends on a cliffhanger that could easily be picked up in another installation but doesn’t need to be (especially if you are versed in Revelations).
Definitely a good and quick read. Highly recommend.

It's not a deeply in-depth book, but that's ok. All the major points are touched upon, hopefully enough to get people to study their Bible to see what's coming. And it's coming quickly.
This book brings you into a deep picture of what will happen in the tribulation period. Truly would open your eyes to the realities we are now facing. Oh Come Lord Jesus! We are just days before the rapture.
Wasn't sure about reading the Interview with the Antichrist. Reading reluctantly began to realize it's reality. It's written with purpose, exposing deceit and judgement. Read it!
Love this book. I couldn’t put it down. I knew what was going to happen next from reading the Bible but I couldn’t wait to see how it would happen in the book. Great read! Highly recommend! Give this to unbelievers too.
At the beginning I thought I was really going to enjoy this book. It was good, but I feel like things were rushed toward the middle/end of the book and just glanced over. Then it seemed to end very abruptly as well. It was okay. Just not my favorite.
This book made me aware of the reality of what's to happen during the end times. It was a well told story in the fictional sense. Im glad to have read it.
I wanted so badly to like this book, but I just didn’t. I am a huge fan (and repeat reader) of The Left Behind series and this book felt like an inferior attempt at a copy.
It was interesting to see a different view from the Antichrist side. You read how deceiful he will be and how evil he turns out to be in the end. I wish the story took you to his final end.
