But THIS BOOK. 🤯 If you want serious and DETAILED science on how EMFs are so damaging, grab a copy.
It’s not meant to cause fear, paranoia or hopelessness in light of the magnitude of the problem. It’s for educating yourself and giving tools (lots of them!) for protecting your family, especially young ones who are MUCH more susceptible. EMFs are doing harm to each and EVERY one of our bodies, even if you aren’t showing symptoms currently (he explains all of that very clearly).
I’m not naive. I know 99% of you aren’t going to change your lifestyles because I wrote yet another book review. But as 5G is blanketing the earth, plants and insects are dying off, and diseases are skyrocketing, I couldn’t help but share today.
Overall, though, even as we live in this toxic world, there is a 100% non-toxic, perfect world with no pain, tears or sadness awaiting those who put their trust in God. We still need to be smart and responsible with our health, but ultimately God is in control. As we increase our trust in Him, so also will our peace on this earth increase. We can only do what we can do and surrender the rest to Him.

I appreciated all the information on what exactly 5G is, how it came to play in our technical world, the dangers it poses, and how the government is choosing to ignore the toxicity of it. It was heartening to realize how many European countries have and are fighting back, and I can only hope the US will soon follow suit.
The book is good. I learned a lot of things that I didn't know and it was broken down and made easy to understand. The only quarrel I have with the book is that there's a lot of "correlation equals causation" Which, as anyone who knows anything about science knows, is not always the case.
The book empowered me to be more cautious with my phone and my bedroom at night. I'm happy that I read it and will recommend it to my friends and family. I just think it could have been written without all the "chicken little" Undertones.
A must-read, if you are at all interested in the effect technology, has on our long-term health. It gave me a wake-up call and I'm making changes. Thank you for the wake-up call.

So, now, I questioning all that I've read and will take anything from Dr. Joseph Mercola with a grain of salt and check other sources. I'd advise others to do the same.

EMF*D thoroughly breaks down the real science on this controversial issue, it's the latest title from Dr. Mercola, who is a titan in the health freedom movement.
If you're a respecter of science, you should definitely read this book because it's full of science, it's a very thorough documentation of the significant body of science that underlies the EMF threat to our health.
Frankly, I don't think I'm going to stop using my smartphone or Wifi, despite all the good reasons to do so that the book gives. As long as everyone around me is using smartphones and Wifi, it's not worth the significant convenience cost. You're probably not going to give up your smartphone and Wifi either, so I urge you to implement all the anti-cancer hacks that you can...

Overall, this book is very well researched, and is a good starting point for someone looking for learn a lot about EMFs. I’m by no means a science major, so I didn’t enjoy the technical aspects of this book as much as I probably could have (sometimes it felt like I was reading gibberish! The author does explain that the science is very advanced, and tries to make things simpler, but it was still a LOT of information to process, all over the place). The studies about EMFs on animals and plants were fascinating, especially that they are believed to play a large role in colony collapse disorder (CCD). Seeing the effects on these tiny bees really makes you wonder what’s happening to us humans over time. This book also highlights the negligence of our safety guidelines for regulation exposure in America compared to other countries, which is also a cause for concern. My life wasn’t drastically changed after reading EMF*D, but I’m also all too aware of how close my phone is to my body as I type this.
Good book explaining what EMFs are and the dangers of them. Some of the information in here I already knew, like having your phone on airplane mode when you’re not using it and not using anything with Bluetooth enabled. I wasn’t aware on how serious EMF exposure is. I wondered while reading this if anything in here was exaggerated or maybe we are all doomed?
Radiation from cell phones? Protect yourself, but don’t panic.
I recently saw yet another piece trying to panic me about the dangers of 5G wireless. It was time to read about it. I bought EMF*D, by Joseph Mercola, with whom I agree with on Covid and vaccіnes. I read it.
The biggest threats are your Wi-Fi router, your phone, and your microwave. Just about everything else electrical in your house and on the street emits a little bit.
What is the damage? Brain cancer rates are double in heavy cell phone users. Women who carry them in their bra get breast cancer. It may give you insomnia or cataracts. Children can get Leukemia.
They can’t prove it, just like we can’t prove that Covіd vaccіnes make athletes drop dead of heart attacks, but the correlations are very strong. Insurance company fine print excludes RF injuries.
How does it work? Your body is 2% calcium, used for structures such as bones and teeth. It needs only a tiny amount inside ordinary cells. Radiation lets cell walls admit excess calcium, where it interferes with the operation of energy-producing mitochondria. It creates free radicals that break up your DNA.
Cell phone sellers and carriers will tell you that they are “safe and effective” or words to that effect. They love the fact that customers spend all day with them, even sleeping with them. They love the folks whose status demands that they must have the latest I-gadgets - watch, phone, pad and computer. Nobody will get rich telling you they are dangerous. You should turn them off! It’s only books from eccentric cranks. People who wear tinfoil hats and receive messages from outer space.
The Federal Communications Commission, supposed to look out for the consumer, is staffed by people from industry and who hope to return to high-paying jobs in industry. They will never meet you, know about you, or care about you.
There is a pattern here. Throughout my childhood government pretty much agreed with the industry that smoking wouldn’t hurt me. They changed their minds in 1964, and I quit. My parents didn’t and died. The same kinds of shills persuaded us that the insecticide DDT was a miracle of science, thalidomide and DES were a boon to pregnant women, GMOs and glyphosate are safe to eat, and oxycontin to address chronic pain wasn’t addictive. They made a lot of money. Their customers died.
American Progressives of a century ago had two mistaken ideas.
1) Government can prevent the common people from doing stupid things 2) You can trust government to look after common people
The Pure Food and Drug Act of 1906 was supposed to protect the public against drug and improperly prepared food. State laws protected consumers against abuses by the banks, and employees from unfair labor practices.
Look at the world today. It is awash in drugs. Opiates such as Oxycontin were legal. Marijuana is legal, and marijuana psychosis is commonplace. Enforcement of laws against narcotics, cocaine and such are weakly enforced in the face of rampant abuse. We are still being poisoned as the weed killer glyphosate is slowly phased out. Big Macs are about the healthiest it gets when it comes to fast food. Consumers are awash with student debt, auto debt and mortgages that can’t be repaid, as rapacious “loan to own” lenders await car repos and mortgage default evictions.
You can’t legislate away stupidity on the part of consumers, cupidity on the part of industry, or complicity on the part of government. The revolving door is the reality. Industries and the government people who regulate them are one and the same:
They collude at the expense of the people they are supposed to protect. A person’s question when it comes to something like EMF radiation should be, cui bono? Who benefit? Our motto should be, sauve qui peut. Look out for yourself.
When I encounter a claim like this about EMF and 5G, I follow a checklist sort of like this:
• From my knowledge of science, does the danger claim make scientific sense? • Who gets rich by assuring the public there is no danger? • Which independent voices believe there is danger? • How can I educate myself from unbiased sources?
My conclusions about EMF are:
1) It is real enough that I’m going to turn off my WIFI and cell phone when I’m not using them, and keep the kids away from the microwave. Turn off everything electric in my bedroom at night. Remember the inverse square rule that radiation goes down as the square of the distance from the source. Twice as far away is four times as safe. Keep my cell phone away from my body, and stand away when using the microwave. 2) The nature of the radio waves (frequency, strength) hasn’t changed much since the first cell phones. The changes are additive, not exponential. While I should be cautious, there is no need to panic 3) The stronger argument against being hyper-connected is privacy. Government and big tech can and do use smart phones and the Internet to intrude into every facet of your life. 4) My kids and I need a real life, not a virtual one. The social reasons to avoid EMF are strong.
In other words EMF radiation has to take its place among the many, many things people want me to worry about. Prioritizing Panics, here’s my list:
There are worries that I have investigated and found to be bogus, trumped up to make us afraid and other people rich:
1. Global warming may be happening, but it is not fast, not caused by CO2, and a constant throughout geological history. Moreover, CO2 is driven by China and India. We could not control it if we wanted. Investors want to get rich on non-solutions such as solar panels, wind power and electric cars, none of which make economic or environmental sense. See books by Michael Schellenberger and Patrick Moore among many others.
2. Mass extinction is not happening, though loss of habitat is very real. Using the conservationists’ own numbers, about two species go extinct every year and two new ones evolve. Search on “Sixth Great Extinction??? – Not” YouTube.
Among the many things we do need to worry about more are
1. Loss of Freedom of speech and government surveillance through RF technologies 2. The financial crash, and central bank digital currencies. 3. Adverse effects of vaccіnes, both childhood and Covіd. 4. Pesticides / herbicides such as glyphosate.
Mercola’s writings since this book came out in 2019 suggest that he would probably agree with the list above. The clarity and authority of the book allows the reader to put things in perspective. A five-star effort.
This book took me a full two months to read because I only read a page or two a day and took copious notes. Much like RFK’s book The Real Anthony Fauci, this book has things on every page that you wish you didn’t know. I kept reading because I want to be informed, but it is just so very discouraging. In a nutshell - EMFs and cell phones/wireless devices are the cigarettes of this generation. They are addictive and deadly. I really want to take all the steps advised in this book to protect and mitigate, but I’m afraid I need a degree in some very technical fields, and a whole lot more money to spend on it than I have. Dr Mercola is as thorough as always and includes several appendices and copious footnotes and references. Almost a quarter of the book is supplementary material. If only more mainstream doctors and scientists were covering this topic we might have some changes made. Unfortunately it appears the wireless industry is just as profit driven as the pharmaceutical company is now and as Big Tobacco used to be.
Hmm. Where to start. It's quite convincing that EMFs are a problem but sometimes goes too far. A few quick jumps from correlation to causation made some of the other, more well thought out, arguments feel less genuine. As far as the implementation of this stuff, I just don't know. Part of me says this is a necessary vertical of health to dedicate time and energy too, no different from diet or excersize. Part of me feels like it's futile to even try. Part of me feels like this all might be quack medicine and fake anyway. I guess I'm recommending that you all read this too so I'm not alone in these thoughts.
This book is full of valuable information about EMFs and how they are affecting us, even if we are unaware. It also has ways in order to stay healthy, in spite of EMFs, and whatever else is out there that is causing illnesses which we can't directly attribute to what the doctors know.
Dr. Mercola has spent his life trying to get information out into the world that can help us live healthy lives. It is maddening to see him discredited and vilified.
Everyone needs to read this book, and every library should have it! It was super scientific and educational but in a totally understandable manner. You will be majorly keeping your EMF exposure in check if you truly let this information soak in. It’s terrifying but thankfully there are ways to protect ourselves and heal the cellular damage, as shown in this book.
The tone of this book is incredibly negative and harsh. It was so bad I never reached the point of a solution. This gets the K rating, as in K for KRAP!
A lot of maybe this, maybe that. A lot of comparing established science (cigarettes) to not at all established science (EMFs in general, 5G in particular), and calling them equivalent.

My family has been aware of this type of hidden dangers in our technologically advanced world since I was a child. There isn't anything in this book that I haven't already heard, but realize it could be eye opening to anyone just learning that electricity and other energy fields can have an effect on human life.
However, much of this book is hyperbole and there doesn't seem to be any "fix" except to roll on back to the stone age. The author compares EMF to mistakes society has made in the past that have been extensively scientifically documented as harmful, such as smoking. He belabors the point that corporation don't care if they destroy people health as long as they make a profit and that the government bows to corporate control until turning a blind eye is overwhelmingly impossible. Which is true. But he also ignores that steps have been taken to make technology safer and shield us from the effects. It appears that he doesn't think any progress along these lines is enough and continuously uses fear inducing tactics to urge us to emotional over reaction instead of problem solving. Hyping past mistakes alongside the tiny bits of scientific evidence we now have about the possible dangers of technology makes everything appear to be the same type and level of dangerous health problems.
Along those lines, the author repeatedly makes sweeping conclusions from actual evidence to his idea of current reality that ignores all other evidence that should be included. For example, he notes that bees are harmed by excessive exposure to EMF (true) and that bee populations have been severely reduced as technology has increased (also true), but ignores the MANY other factors harming the bee population (pesticide use, civilization encroaching natural bee life, etc). This is just one of MANY times the author leads us down his doomsday path mixing truth, conspiracy theory, history, and possibility in a pattern designed to scare us into his way of thinking.
Mercola seems to be hoping we'll abandon all technology and scientific research in favor of - oh look! He has a website that will happily sell you supplements and household products that will shield you from the harmful effects he outlines in his book. After only eight years of abandoning patient practice in favor of promoting his product line, Mercola declared in court that he had a net worth of over $100 million. It's now been another eight years, with worldwide publicity, without an update on that. What does he say about corporations fleecing people again?
This is yet another content rich book about manmade EMFs and the health consequences it has on us. Dr. Mercola deals with a lot of research and has devoted the end of the book to approx. 150 references to research articles that demonstrate health damage from EMFs, and this is only a small percentage of what is out there on research. The content of the book is simply explained except for a couple of places where Mercola goes a little more in depth around what happens in the cells when they are exposed to radiation. I also got an interesting insight into the molecules nitric oxide and superoxide which in large quantities and when they are close to each other will form a dangerous molecule called peroxynitrite which is harmful to our cells, and which EMF helps to bring about.
The book goes into this rather comprehensibly, while in a couple of other areas it becomes somewhat more complicated, but the book is mostly an easy to read and understand. In contrast to "The Invisible Rainbow", this one devotes a whole chapter to how to protect yourself from EMF and how to repair EMF related damage. Much of what the author writes is probably not that popular in the eyes of mainstream media, but he backs up what he writes with a lot of good research. He also shows how the EMF research that is backed up by the big companies works, and how their methods are similar to the methods that the tobacco and sugar industry used back in the time when tobacco and sugar were not considered harmful to our health. All in all, a rich book about this important topic which is really starting to become a social problem around the world today.
This is a book for anyone who is aware or care of the health impact that electromagnetic fields (EMFs) are having on our body. Apart from giving readers the understanding of EMFs to start with, the comparability of cigarettes studies on health impact with studies of phones emitting EMFs that causes harm to health reveals how government and industry organizations has been down playing and discarded the many medical and science studies that clearly stated the on going damages at DNA and cellular metabolism. It is a big plus that an appendix is delegated to list out all the studies that demonstrate harmful effect of EMFs, which one can further explore.
The next good part of the book is covering details on how EMFs cause damages and as a result what kind of effects and diseases can occur. Fortunately that I have the basic knowledge of DNA and cell biology, which makes the whole explanation very clear and easily understandable. With the knowledge of how the damages are done, this is followed with how the body's system can repair the EMF-related damage and what one can do to help the repair. Finally, the author provides the ways one can perform in order to reduce our EMF exposure, including a Resources section listing out tools and products for various purposes.
I am familiar with EMF in general and I feel that this book really broke things down so that most people can understand the subject of EMFs and their impact on people and the environment. I found the extensive biology lesson extremely fascinating and important to understanding why the EMFs we expose ourselves to all the time effects us. Absolutely worth reading!
I enjoyed the info - I thought the background info was great.
The mitigation techniques were difficult to apply to a house with kids and gaming consoles and cell phones. I will work through them - but trying to wrap my head around protecting a 13 year old from his cell phone was a bit difficult - but again, I will reread and apply as many of these measures as i can.
Excellent analysis of emf and rf dangers, how to understand them, and how to protect yourself at several levels. Very well sourced and documented. It's an absolutely vital read/resource for this and coming decades in terms of knowledge and protection for oneself, family, and friends. Well worth the effort to read and keep handy for rereading...several times.
Very detailed look at what 5G and EMFs are doing to us. As someone who is highly sensitive and can immediately feel that Bluetooth is on in the car or wifi in your house i appreciated all he had to say, including all the studies and research that was cited. This book is a great beginners guide to understanding it all.
Having already read Firstenberg's "The Invisible Rainbow", it is a little hard to properly review this book. The first part of EMF*D is kind of a summary of Invisible Rainbow which I basically skipped over. The final part is about the science behind how EMF affects the body, and countermeasures, and this is where EMF*D hits it's stride.

An eye opening reading that will absolutely scare you into action to reduce, mitigate, and eliminate EMFs in your home. As an electrical engineer, my opinion about the health effects due to EMF is forever changed.
a little technical at times, though he tried to make it more readable. But it was mostly good and I mostly believe what he's saying to do and what is wrong with BEmf's. Best book I've read on the subject probably.
I love the practical information, got lost on the cell level medicine. So many EMF things in my life, this will be a start of the process to minimize my exposures.
