With steamy results and they are extremely hot!! A pretty good read and i enjoyed it a lot. Would love if this had a follow up book??

“I knew it had only been one day…”

I’ve been in this RH romance kick lately, and Naughty and Nice by Belle Harper is a great novella that I found when trying to find something christmasy with some smut lol.

Naughty and Nice is about our FMC Darcy going back home on Christmas after finding her husband cheating. Unable to stay at her family home, she goes to her Grandpa’s cabin. Ben, coming home from college along with his three best friends, gets stranded in a snowstorm, and the only available place to stay is Darcy’s cabin. Ben is also her brother’s best friend, sooo, hell yes to a RH and Brothers Best Friend Trope. Love to see it. Though we don’t see a friendship, it’s just told that there is one.

All three guys, surprisingly for a novella, were all somewhat different and developed. My favorite between Ryder, Hunter, Mikah, and Ben, was Ben. He already had developed feelings for Darcy from when they were kids, so I loved seeing Ben and Darcy together.

Up until the end, I found the pacing relatively pretty great. It’s basically just smutty, steamy scenes, so it’s a fast paced, insta love/lust burn. But, I didn’t feel like there were a whole bunch of connections made to make Darcy feel so deeply for the guys. With Ben, sure, she knew him when she was young, but the rest of the guys? She knew only for a short time and slept with them once lol.

Despite that, Naughty and Nice was a fun, quick read. The guys were all great to read, and Darcy held her chin up despite what happened. I’d love for there to be more, honestly, but all in all, this was a great novella for when someone is looking for a holiday read but it also not looking for it to be too cute and cliche.

Honestly, I just wanted one last short read to wrap up an exhausting month (thanks exams, thanks uni 🙄), and what could be better than an under 70 pages sp!cy xmas cabin retreat?✨ Off the top of my head, I can say the concept was fun and a few scenes were enjoyable… but I was HIGHkey beefing with the writing the entire time😭

Considering this is basically a no-plot book, I expected it to at least have some grip on the reader and make me CARE about the characters. It actually seemed to be heading in that direction during the first two or three chapters i guess?? But then the first sp!cy interaction happens at about 35%😭 I really wanted a smoother build-up, because the attraction felt EXTRA rushed. It almost felt like they got hot and bothered in the span of 8 pages.. oh wait THEY DID! Right off the bat like that man☹️ Ah, not to mention a divorce doesn’t just magically end because you “pack your bags and take refuge in your grandpa’s cabin”😭 This is where my expectation for the divorce (or John in general) to play a much bigger role in the story comes in; but nope, no it didn't (at least it gets a star for the g*n scene at the very beginning i guess; unexpected and funny😭)

HONESTLYYY, I only somewhat liked Ryder and couldn't bring myself to like anyone else. I REALLY wanted to like Mikah too, but I just couldn't, and Ben didn't feel as individualized as the book clearly wanted him to be. All the characters fit into very distinct and boxy categories (with the MC being especially confusing, constantly jumping from to shy teen to bold), with no personality or flavour of their own. Every single one of them seemed to be driven purely by pl3asure and nothing else: no real goals, no meaningful background, no life whatsoever.

They get one star mostly because the guys at least felt like they were written by a woman; in the sense that they behaved in a very unrealistic way lmao, they were weirdly calculated and overly caring. I expected more jealousy though, if I'm being fully honest. But anyway some of the internal monologue was… a lot🫣❤️‍🔥

The writing was SO bad it genuinely felt like an unpublished draft that had never been proofread, by either the author or an editor. It was packed with basic grammar and punctuation mistakes to the point where I had to reread multiple sentences just to understand what was going on🤨 We're talking your/you're, red/read and leaned/ lend kind of mistakes btw. On top of that, a lot of the lines were painfully corny or just straight-up dumb (exhibit A: “She passed the warm mug over and I took a small sip. It didn't taste that good, but it was warm and coffee.”; exhibit B: "Yeah, probably didn't expect to find me here did you miss sexy thang."). Safe to say, 2012 Wattpad written by european kids was probably better edited than this, I am so sorry☹️

ᯓ ᡣ𐭩 Setting: 3/5
As previously mentioned, the setting was chef’s kiss🍭 I love a good secluded-space setup, especially when it’s paired with a very specific circumstance *cough* BLACKOUT *cough*. Absolute cinema honestly!! Although, it did feel a little weird that this was Darcy’s grandpa’s cabin, considering that during their stay there, the characters did nothing but... you know… I’ll shut up 🫣 Only 3 stars solely because I really wanted it to feel more Christmassy (or at least more wintery). Most of the atmosphere boiled down to “cold air” and a few mentions of the incoming holidays sadly.

The pacing was very fast, probably TOO fast, to the point where it skipped over a lot of scenes that could’ve made the story feel more believable. Important moments were rushed or glossed over instead of being properly developed, at least a tiny bit more.
That said, it was still pretty engaging thanks to the very short chapters (1–2 pages long). It kept the momentum going and made it easy to keep flipping pages, even when the story itself wasn’t fully working for me✌️

Look, I don’t hate a predictable ending, but I hate a predictable ending when it doesn’t make sense. This one felt incredibly rushed and very fantasy-core, in the sense that it ignored any emotional realism and jumped straight to the “and everyone was happy” conclusion without actually justifying the hows or the whens. Like... what do you MEAN they'll just live their happily ever after just like that? What would Darcy's family think? What would Ben (who's been crushing on Darcy for YEARS BTW‼️) think about suddenly having to share the girl he finally got? I don't know, it just made zero sense to me☹️

It got a star mostly because this is the Christmassy smutty book that actually did what the previous Christmassy smutty book I read completely failed to do (even though I really HOPED it would too): INVOLVE A BLACKOUT. I also enjoyed the small funny moments sprinkled throughout to balance out the heat (which was lowkey heating??🔥). Even though the spice felt sudden and a bit too unorganic to me... 🙌

Quick and spicy holiday read.

Some fave tropes/themes: forced proximity snowed in, brother’s best friend, why choose (MMMMF with no ⚔️), hung hot jocks, bedazzled peen, sharing is caring, multiple POVs, childhood crush, insta-lust.

Not a lot of plot and even though it was short, had the potential to dig a little deeper in the storyline and backgrounds of the characters to make it not so abrupt with jumping right into bed with each other and wanting a lasting relationship (apart from Ben who has been in love with her since they were kids). Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a bad read and I did enjoy it for what it was.

My biggest hold up and reason being only 3 ⭐️ was the grammatical/spelling/punctuation errors. It was very poorly edited (if it even was) and for so many in a short amount of pages took me away from the story quite a few times. It wasn’t even the author being Aussie and different spellings, which I’m used to, it’s basic verbiage like your instead of you’re, read instead of red, etc. If you can look past those, go right ahead and enjoy some spice.

Darcy finds out what her fiance is doing and she walks away. She decides to go back home and figure out what her next plan will be. Well she gets stranded in a horrible snow storm in her family's cabin. There she is by herself until one night she hears some noise and comes face to face with Ben and his friends. Ben, Ryder, Mikah and Hunter show up and all of a sudden the cabins temperature increases. So do dreams come true? Will anyone get what they ask for? Will it be for more than one night? Can they move on or take a chance. Believe me when I say that you need to read this because it was hot, hot, hot. All your questions will be answered.

Okay this was fun. I was rooting for it to go the way that it did. I was also rooting for like a group scene as well but oh well. It was cool, I loved seeing her sort of embrace the fact that all these men wanted her and that after her divorce that she could still be seen as desired and fully letting all that in. Especially with more than one man lol. Anyway it was quick and fun and spicy with a splash of Christmas. I probably wouldn’t notice if it wasn’t listed as Christmas but still. Spice is 5/5 for me as it was short and it was all spice. Overall, it was fun I enjoyed it it’s a 4/5 for me.

This is a fast pace novella and the only focus is Darcy finding herself after a failed marriage at a young age. I enjoyed it and if you like why choose, you’ll love it too

I did not like the book at all. Starting because it has practically no plot, which has many holes. You don't just leave home and you're divorced, you need the necessary documentation! Darcy has sex with his brother's best friend and everyone is happy about it?
Also, there is no real connection between the characters, it's just sex.
I understand that the book is short (it's only 15 chapters), but it seems to me that they could have been put to better use.
The story has potential, and if it had been written differently it would have been much, much better.

If you're looking for a smutty why choose Christmas novella then you've found it with this. Darcy catches her husband cheating and leaves and goes home, her parents are away and her brother doesn't want her cramping his style so she goes to their grandads cabin. While she's settling in Ben ( her brothers best friend ) and his 3 team mates end up in a spin in the snow and end up at Darcy's cabin. Ben's been crushing on her forever and his friends are instantly in lust. They get snowed in and the smutty shenanigans commence

Christmas fire

A quick to scorching reverse harem that will heat up your holidays. After Darcy finds her husband cheating on her she heads home to her family for Christmas to be sent to Pa’s cabin alone. What could happen alone in a cabin with a blizzard coming? I guess you’ll have to read to find out. This is boy a long sweet story. While there’s a story line really it’s about getting hot and bothered and was a perfect read to warm me up on this chilly day.

JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL. This was painful to read and not because of the “plot” but the grammar issues.
Did anyone actually edit this?! When the writer doesn’t know when to correctly use the terms ‘they’re vs. their’ and ‘you’re vs. your’, it’s hard to get through. I could get past maybe one or two issues, but I found at least 10 grammar errors in a 69 page novella, on top of 2 or 3 spelling errors.

3⭐️⭐️⭐️ & 2🌶️🌶️. This Christmas novella felt like a naughty dream. Tell me, do some women actually have this luck with exquisite male specimens all coming at once? No pun intended. I enjoyed the book, it was a little fast paced for my liking but most holiday novellas are. The spice was hot but again, a little faster paced. The characters were the typical RH style, the quiet one, the confident one, the “sharers” etc. overall a good quick spicy read.

Quick, hot mini story

Short, sweet and spicy, and to the point. If you are looking for a quick 🔥 read with an FMC and 3 MMCs, this one will do the trick.

Unfortunately, no ⚔️ and the 🔥 is a 1-1 ratio with 2 of the 4 guys. 2 of them share a scene. I didn't take away stars, because ⚔️ and group activity is just my preference in RH 🤣. This is a perfectly acceptable book for other RH fans.

I would love a full book with these characters 😍.

Man, I needed this so badly and Belle Harper delivered. A holiday novella that just made me feel good. An unhappy wife whose good-for-nothing cheater of a husband finally pushes her too far, a secluded cabin, a blizzard, and four stranded hot men. What more could you want? Definitely a good use of 90 minutes to rid my mouth off the bad taste left by a previous read. Happy holidays!

Wow, I didn’t see when I bought this book that’s it’s a reverse harem. I usually don’t read this type of book, but wow did I enjoy it!
