In fact, the internet links included at the end assist the reader in exploring Shakespeare and delving into his plays and The Globe Theatre on a deeper level.
It would also prove an excellent choice to help new readers or those learning English as a Second Language to build up their confidence in reading, whilst discovering new and interesting information.
As a theatre worker and big fan of Shakespeare, I found this book delightful and was thrilled to learn a couple of new facts about The Bard’s plays!
I would say this is indeed an interesting read. I've heard about William Shakespeare before when I was a teenager. However to be honest I am not sure what he does or why is he so famous. Finally I had a chance to read this book. I gained lots of new information (mind you I don't have any idea who he is actually but I know that he is a famous person because of something that he is good at). This book meant to be read by my son, am taking this opportunity to read beforehand so that should my son have questions (which he definitely will), at least I'm ready. Fun book for me.
This extraordinary book, William Shakespeare by Rosie Dickins has many interesting facts about William Shakespeare that will be important to learn about. The book begins with the birth till the Childhood of Shakespeare at Stamford, and how he began liking theater. William as a young man started in a Grammar School where he had to study hard because they were many lessons to revise or else he could fail the Grammar School. Once his dad, Mr.Shakespeare took him and his younger brother to a theater act. While the show was playing Willam started admiring it and started to love theater. “William watched it all agog. “Just wait till I tell the boys at school about this! He thought” ” (Dickens 9). At fourteen years old Mr. Shakespeare asked William to quit school and need to find a job because of the lack of money that the family has. At the age of eighteen, Anne and William were married and soon after they had her first daughter. One day William came to London and work on the playhouses that had many different shows every day so William worked as a scriptwriter. “The big playhouses changed their shows almost every day, so they needed lots of material. William soon found himself working on scripts” (Dickens 18). William takes his breakfast quickly every single day because he lived far away from his job. During some plays, William always asked himself in a nervous way if the audience liked the play or not. After the success of the playhouses, William, and his gang needed to present for Queen Elizabeth. After many acts and years, William dies of a short illness on April 23rd, 1613 and few years later his friends published his scenes and soon became popular. These are the interesting facts in the fantastic book Our William Shakespeare written by Rosie Dickins.
The book, William Shakespeare written by Rosie Dickins is the most interesting and enthusiastic book a reader could have ever read. The photograph that I preferred in this book is when William Shakespeare was acting a scene.I liked this picture because it shows his enthusiasm for acting. For example, the day that he and his brother and father watched the act William loved the act and just wanted to tell to his friends how he liked it. “William watched it all, agog” (Dickens 9). Another title for this book would be The Great Writer because William dedicated his life to writing scripts and he was so good at writing scripts that everyone wanted to see his scenes. For instance, when Queen Elizabeth chose William because he had written great scenes and to make scenes you need to be a great writer. “It was such a success, the actors even claimed to have performed it for Queen Elizabeth” (Dickens 40). I would describe the book William Shakespeare to my friend by telling the history and what were the important events of this book. Likewise, the different ways that I could tell the history of Shakespeare are by telling his early life and what inspired William to be a writer for scenes. These are my three question that I’ve answered in this book William Shakespeare written by Rosie Dickens.
I would recommend this book William Shakespeare written by Rosie Dickens to 7th grade until 5th grade because this book is kind of easy to understand. This book William Shakespeare could be easy sometimes to understand, but there is some vocabulary words that are a little bit difficult to understand so that why I also recommended the Middle School to read this book. The book has many different and enthusiastic facts of about William Shakespeare that makes the reader get excited either than getting bored and don’t have any interest to learn in this book. This book is also recommended for some lower schoolers because it has a minor amount of pages which is 63. I loved that book because there were many facts that I never learned while reading the book and understood most of the history of Shakespeare and his daily life. I also loved when the book showed a picture of a map so that the reader could understand what was the book talking about. I also recommend this book for other people who wants to learn about William Shakespeare because throughout all of the websites and biography that book William Shakespeare was one of the most useful books about Shakespeare that I had ever read.
