Saved by my one true love!

So, this caption works for both the hero and the heroine. Yuri and Jade truly were made to love each other as an HEA. Yuri never knew why Jade took off, yet he loved her for years. I understand Jade's reason for leaving, mainly how her adoptive parents acted after the disgusting things Calvin did to her. I almost stopped reading this because it took until Chapter 12/13 for the story to find a way for these two to reconnect. I shed a tear for what Gabby, Chelsea, and Jade went through before Calvin got what he deserved. No woman or man should ever have to endure such abuse. I knew Yuri, Mikael, Luka, and Karl would find her, and having Tony, Viktor, and the crew helping was even better. I like how the other mob groups interact within each story in this series. Jonathan is a cute kid. I would like to see Tony Nash with his own story so that his remarkable woman can tame him down and for his father to show that he is proud of him. As with the other books, some editing is needed.

If you read this story prepare for some dark situations going on.

The fact that 10 years ago a mentally ill individual did what Calvin and his two friends did to Jade when they were teenagers turned my stomach. Then 10 years later if the reappearance of him coming back and what he was doing before he got her was beyond horror movie scary. It was sad that Jade left her high school sweetheart behind but in the end their love didn't lessen with time it only got stronger. There were some mistakes throughout the story that made it kind of her to figure out what was being said but I gave this book a five star rating because of the storyline.

I didn't like this one as much as the previous 3. I liked Yuri but didn't much like Jade even though she had a lot to deal with in her life.

I found myself skipping over a lot of the flashbacks and the book didn't get interesting to me until almost at 50%. Also the ending was just okay but I feel like it was rushed and with no epilogue like the others it felt unresolved. Their romance left a lot to be desired and I felt there was a whole lot of telling not enough showing.

There were so many other characters in the previous books that I think would have had a better story.
Tony for one, especially after what happened in the last book.

Yuri and Jade

After reading the blurb, had to read the whole book today and it was that good finished it today. I found this read more about redemption for both Jade and Yuri, the storyline had me captivated, to what the author had written on the next page. Even though Jade and Yuri are soulmates, however I still felt their time together in the story was not long enough. I love the dark theme of the storyline and loved the outcome heaps better. Will read the series starting with book one 👍

Second Chances

Yuri and Jade fell in love as teenagers. Her adopted parents separated them and she ended going to their prom with a truly disturbed young man. Yuri rescued Jade from his clutches and Jade disappeared and she and Yuri did not reconnect until ten years later. This was an exciting story with some hair raising action.

a little slow

Pretty good story.
But I had problems with how slow the story was. It Yuri and Jade took to long to reunite. The action did pick up close to end of book but it became extremely annoying when Jade needed time alone after her ordeal with Calvin.
Like I said the story is just ok.

Yuri and Jade

Time couldn't stop the love that they never forgot. Although they met while in high school, the bond never ceased to exist.

Calvin really wanted revenge, but did not want to accept ownership of his mistakes. Story was Perfect! Cute that Yuri proposed.

Just no

Other reviewers have taken issue with the fact that she published books in her real name and before I started reading it I was wondering why that is even an issue. Turns out it was something that was brought up in the book. If not for that I don't think anybody would have even brought it up but still I figured if that's the worst thing they can say about it then I'll read it. However, most of the book to me felt like the characters were just glossing over their lives but yet when she was abducted for the second time it goes into great detail which is backwards to me. I skimmed over that part. Like why do I want to read details about how he's raping and murdering and assaulting? Seriously that part was just booty. Then to add insult to injury this big tough Russian guy is knocked out easily and she is then easily abducted and then she's held for days or weeks before they find her? The synopsis on Amazon made it sound so promising but then it just fell completely flat and the last salt in the wound moment was how after he rescued her for the second time she pushes him away which is such complete and utter bullcrap oh and another thing that is pull crap is how they piece together she reaches out to him by writing a book about him and neither one of them could find each other in 10 years like I said earlier it could go on and on but this book just fell completely flat.

Not what I expected, but I enjoyed it

While reading this book I was not expecting a lot of things. But I really enjoyed it. Trisha is funny. She really did not understand the title of situation she got herself in. And I was hoping she ended up with someone in the group.

Then you have Jonathan. The little boy who visits Jade. He is too cute, and funny. Lol his mother is very right when she says that he talks way too much.

Calvin is really off his rockers. Hes crazy and he deserve everything that was done to him.

I have to say that I very much dislike Jade adopted parents. How can you bail out someone who harm your child like that. Idc if I am friends with the child parents. For them to bail him out was crazy and ridiculous.

Who wouldve thought the accomplishment that Jade achieved. It goes to show that she really didn't need her controlling adoptive parents. And she was going to make sure she makes it on her own. Without anyone help minus those that came in contact with her to pay for her books.

I wish it talk more about if Yuri was going to stay in that life style or not. I know that was one of her worries. But then it's not mention what's so ever on what happens.

Other than that I enjoy reading this book.

No need to worry, I killed her

It’s wordy. I don’t think I’ve read a book set up like this before. Every other chapter runs through the last 10 years like cliffs notes. I’m not sure how I feel about that. At about 60% it turns into the regular reading style that I’m used to. This is definitely a new experience for me. I was not expecting Yuri to be so in touch with his feelings. There is usually a hardness to these Bratva types through written actions expressed by an author and it’s not in this book. Also I’m trying to figure out how a pudgy man got the upper hand when subduing another Bratva member Karl when he was supposed to be a guard?? How did he not hear Calvin? Then, with a well placed ”oh don’t worry about it” later reassuring him that it wasn’t his fault she got kidnapped... ummm of course it was!!! I’m am currently at 85% and I’m still trying to figure out how Yuri plans to explain the woman living in his apartment. I’m confused, you will be too. Ahhh it’s been cleared up... sorta... he never had to explain the randomness of that living situation.

This Book Was Sure Different From The Rest As...

There was a lot less romance in this book, although I still enjoyed reading it, it was leaned more in the danger, intrigue, and suspense nature than romance. I still would like to see a book about Tony Nash and would like to see his father be proud of him. The editing was a bit slippery, Viktor’s became Victor, Mikael was Michael a few times. I did not realize that Viktor was that mature for Yuri to be thought of as a “son” to him and he was portrayed to have gray hair. He was not portrayed as mature in the first book and it appeared as if this was the time before they moved to Florida. At first I thought they were talking about Viktor’s father and I forgot his name, but no it was him because he was the one married to Don Nash’s daughter.

Wishing you a "Happy-You-Didn't-Get-Killed" Day

I actually enjoyed this book. It was equal parts murderer/stalker/psycho and romance. A little too narrative, but great main man and supporting men who could carry their own stories. I would have liked more live action scenes between the H and h, and less telling of their love story. I love a good Alpha Ruskie with a softer side. That strategy of letting former job captains retire was not realistic, but I wasn't mad at the premise. This is truly better than the 1 and 3 🌟 reviews, so I gave it a four to show that.

Beautiful story!

This story deserves 10 stars but I could only give 5 😊. From page one the characters jumped off the page and into my heart. I rooted for these two from early on till the end.
I've never seen two more deserving of love and Happily Ever After than these two leading characters. This story gives innocence, passion, forgiveness, growth/maturity, humor and loads of unbreakable Love. Enjoy!

Staying the Victim?

In the series, this one didn’t stand out! Jade is so traumatized that she doesn’t seek out self defense classes, or anything that will empower herself. She stays a victim? Why? What happened to Gabby, and Chelsea at the end? Why weren’t they at the Christmas party? Did Jade ever go to counseling? Did Trisha ever find out what the guys did for a living?

It was a pretty good book all in all. It really bothered me that her parents didn’t believe that Jade was beaten the way that she was. I was so happy that reached out to Yuri. Loved his friends and that they stuck by him like they always did. I also loved the fact that Jade made some friends out of her ordeal. That they got her head straight and got her some much needed help.

Entertaining 3.5 stars

The book was entertaining. Yuri was a great character. Jade was ok too. The subject of abduction was dealt with with sensitivity. The recovery and leaving behind the Bratva were too fairytale like for my liking.

Too much filler!!!!

First 70% of book contained too much unless information - could have been summed up in 10 pages. After enduring this
Unless monologue remainder of book was just OK

Love will find a way

Love the characters. I wish Jade wasn't so demure and proper. Wish she was a stronger female character. Great story about her making something out of nothing.
