Frank Carver has been a member of the Norfolk County Police department for six years. Prior to joining the police department, Frank worked in Army Intelligence. He has just been promoted and is now the only homicide detective in the department. After receiving his promotion Frank decides to use some of his vacation time before starting his new position. While he is gone two bodies have mysteriously appeared in locked motel rooms. The day he comes back a third body is found.The case is perplexing, but there are similarities between the victims, aside from where they were found. All are middle aged males, they were found on the bed posed in the same position, they were all naked, and each victim was missing some body parts. There were no personal items, including clothing, in the rooms.The case isn’t like anything Frank has worked on or even heard about. It will take skill, logic, and a little luck to solve it.

Interesting compilation.

Rather than writing an entire book that solves only one murder mystery, the author has compiled a number of different but connected stories into one book. Makes for a great afternoon read as you can read the entire book or break it up between stories.
