Fallon and Morrigan face off for the ultimate battle … in their minds.
Fallon and the other shipwreck survivors join forces with the selkie and pech against the fasgadair. They plot to reclaim Bandia, then the rest of Ariboslia, not stopping until they destroy Morrigan. Armed with redeemed blood and the ultimate weapon, Turas, they can’t fail.
But Morrigan has dark magic on her side—and an unwitting spy.
As Fallon and her friends conspire, Morrigan uses the spelled version of the mind-link Fallon shared with Aodan and Alastar. With it, Morrigan learns their secrets and infiltrates Fallon’s mind.
By the time Fallon realizes what’s happening, it may too late. Will the redeemed blood and Turas be enough to remove the evil that’s plagued Ariboslia for centuries? Or will Fallon become Morrigan’s pet—a plaything in her mind?

J. F. Rogers lives in Southern Maine with her husband, daughter, pets…and usually an imaginary friend or two. She has a degree in Behavioral Science and teaches a 5th & 6th grade Sunday School class. When she’s not entertaining Tuki the Mega Mutt, her constant companion and greatest distraction, she’s likely tap tap tapping away at her keyboard, praying the words will miraculously align just so. Above all, she’s a believer in the One True God and can say with absolute certainty—you are loved. Connect with her at jfrogers.com.
First, if you haven’t read Astray and Adrift, start there. In Astray, Fallon discovered another world and another grandmother. In Adrift she returned to Ariboslia to help her newly discovered family. Now Aloft brings Fallon and family and friends through multiple battles.
Fallon has not only learned of Ariboslia and her family, but also her alternative form. She has encountered different people and ways of life. There is also a greater evil behind the fasgadair and her name is Morrigan. Fallon must help unite these different people to fight the army of fasgadair and defeat Morrigan. Some are too afraid of the fasgadair or Morrigan. Others are wary of Fallon who still seems like a foreigner to many of them.
For some reason, in reading this third book in the series there were times I had a hard time following scene changes at some of the chapter breaks. Overall, though, I have enjoyed this series by J.F. Rogers and will look for more by her. I recommend you do the same.
I bought this series and this is my honest, unbiased review.
When I was reading the book, the story suddenly reminds me of the 'The chronicles of Narnia', especially the environment and landscape that is portrayed in the book. I love the characters and different races, the selkies, the pech and so on. It is an amazing adventure but also a tragic one, as a lot of people die on the way to fight Morrigan.
Even though I am not that religious, the story balances between fantasy and Christian fate, and it didn't bother me at all. I must admit, at one time in the book it really brought me to tears. I will definitely want to read this book again.
I loved that the monument Stonehenge as 'Turas' is used as a time machine. I was sitting on the edge and couldn't leave the book. I needed to read how it ended.
The most common thread through this story is the Love of God and the love the characters have for each other. It's an easy book to read and I also love the romantic elements in between.
A fabulous conclusion to a wonderful series! I appreciate how the author infuses Christianity in the series (I know some don't care for overt Christianity in fiction, especially fantasy, but I really like it). This book does a good job illustrating spiritual warfare and the necessity of surrendering to God and relying on His strength rather than our own, and also the difficulties in leaning on Godly people in your life rather than on God Himself. In short, if you like fantasy and love Jesus Christ, I believe you'll enjoy this series. Note: You need to read "Astray" and "Adrift" (the first and second books in the series) to fully understand everything happening in this book. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. The opinions expressed are my own.
Brilliant conclusion to the trilogy! This trilogy has gripped my heart from the very beginning. So much of it plays into the darkness enshrouding our world today. I've found myself at an extremely low ebb where my faith has been concerned. The seemingly eternal wave of misery upon misery, trial after trial, along with weakness and failures have mirrored my life and outlook so closely. My own internal messages of "don't quit", "don't lose hope" and "love is the key" have kept me going. Such a timely set of books to read to bring light, love and hope when things are so desperately dark and evil right now. What a wonderful boost to a soul crying out for help! Highly recommended reading!
Awesome book in an awesome series! You really don't want to miss this series! It begins with the book Astray, which is free. It starts out a bit slow, but hang on. It gets better. Really better! Then you want to get Adrift. It's a WOW book! Next, Aloft, which begins with Morrigan. Who's Morrigan? None other than the witch who has been causing God's people so much trouble. These books are so good that I purchasedt them after having gotten the advanced copies for free. Even my husband read them and highly recommends them. Really good series. You'll really like it!
Great ending to this series. The journey that the Fallon has gone through is so tough and prominent. I could not put this book down. I really felt like I was Fallon and everything that she was going through. Great was way to bring closure to this story. I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
The ups and downs of the story make you want to read until it is finished! This story has such a strong focus on God, it makes me want to strengthen my own relationship. With God, ALL things are possible! Thank you
Another great in this ongoing series. Fallon and the other shipwreck survivors get together with the people of the island for survival. Intriguing until the end.
Aloft is the third and final book in the Ariboslia Christian fantasy series. And I highly recommend reading the first two books in this series before tackling this one. This series remind me of the Chronicles if Narnia, as it infuses the themes of Christianity throughout. This is a fast paced world, featuring supernatural creatures, solidly fleshed out characters, with unbelievable twists and turns. I enjoyed the episodes on this novel and the author stayed way ahead of me – a great read! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
The third and last installment of this series was outstanding. Very intense at times. A real page turner. With a great ending and knowing the outcome for Morgana well you have to read the series to find out. Characters were amazing and played their rolls greatly. Pepin being so small and still has a determined ability to come through at all the right times. But the ending was amazing for Fallon and Kai.
