After ten years away from New Jersey, the last thing on earth she wanted was to go back. But she doesn’t always get to do what she wants. As a specially trained assassin working for the United States government, she has little time for nostalgia or introspection. When a terrorist leads her back to her hometown, the precise and regimented existence she lives becomes, in a word, complicated. Old friends, new faces, and memories of family, love and laughter force her to revisit emotions she thought died long ago. But an enemy is attacking freedom itself, and she is one of the few that can fight back.
Faced with the life she left behind, Alina must reconcile her past with the weapon she has become, or fall at the hands of a shadowy foe whose lethal cunning is only just beginning.
Fantastic series. Two CIA assassins keeps your attention all the way. Even though they are killers, they still take care of their friends and innocents. Each book mays you want to follow their story.
Authors should have people who know a bit about guns proof read their work.
While the action is good, and plot is good, I get turned off by authors that write action thrillers and don’t know anything about guns, or ballistics. They should at least have a knowledgeable person proofread their work before publishing.
In one case it states a .50 caliber bullet is embedded in the heads of the men shot... ah, a .50 caliber rifle is often used as a sniper rifle due to its power, for targets up to a mile or mile and half, and even greater distance, it is not going to stop and be embedded in a head.
Another statement talked about a .22 mm shell.... ah, it should have referred to it as a .22 caliber.
Another instance the author gets confused between a .45 cal rifle and then later compares the slugs to a .45 cal handgun. Rifle and handgun are different. Should never have referenced it as a rifle.
2 deadly assassins beside battling cartel , crooked politicians and numerous hitmen they have to cope with the mutual attraction that's spanned a decade can Alina and Damon curb their raging desire as the death trails from New Jersey to Washington, Peru and New Jersey contiually crossing paths with friendly FBI agents and crooked Secret Service directors. Fast paced thoroughly entertaining though at times far fetched still entertaining

Actually I'm only done with Book 1. I liked this book better than I thought I would after I'd read the first little bit of it. Generally I'm turned off by thrillers with characters that are superhuman in their abilities. When I thought about it I decided that one the main reasons is that the dialog and interactions between the characters in this book seemed very natural.
Viper is a character that is much more complex than the usual fictional killer.Suprise she is a 'white hat' , sorry for the sporler but more awaits much better.Enjoy
Masterfully crafted, wonderfully plotted. Professional " good" assessing helping the world get rid of evil monsters. Fast moving from the first word, to the very last.
Three great books with a continuing story line. The CIA and FBI working together, or not, to neutralize the bad guys. Lots of action and intrigue, but I could have done without the unrequited sexual tension. They should have just got a room and be done with it!
