Lucian, the first of the fallen archdemons, is a cosmic douche. And he’s looking for me. Swell.
Without the mark of an archangel, I have no protection against his dark gift. He wants to use me as his puppet, but I’m no one’s puppet.
The archdemon is up to something. I can feel it. Something really big and equally evil. And he’ll stop at nothing until he gets what he wants.
But when Layla goes missing, I’m left with only one choice—team up with a bunch of glowing angels to save her. Lucky me.
It gets even better. As I hunt for Layla, I discover Lucian’s threat is far greater than I’d even realized. It could tear the world apart. So, what do I do? I go Hunting, of course.

Why did I started to read this serie? Because I discovered, that there is a cute devilish talking cat... Why did I continued to read this serie despite the fact that a lot of things annoyed me? Because ,suddenly, there were two cute devilish talking cats... Why did I stopped to read it anyway? Because neither these lovely purfect cats saved this serie...
Wow well where to start. What doesn't happen will be easier lol. So Rowyn is killed and becomes the first dark angel. She's defeats daddy, after he opens a gateway to heal. The arch angels give her her life back, saves Layla and everything goes back to normal. Yet they are no longer unmarked they are marked by the angels and can get decent jobs. This end on a cliff hanger so I don't think it's the last one, it's just the last one out for now. I have really enjoyed this series.

This was a decent ending, but it felt kinda forced? I mean, I adore the happily ever after, but questions - what really happened to Jax? Who is she going to work with? Why Micheal? What about Gareth’s part? The old witch? Loose ends. I’m bugged. Happyish, but bugged.
Rowyn is not “sassy.” She’s just rude and disrespectful. Why does she expect others to treat her any better than how she treats them? Her stupid cat is becoming just like her and his inability to shut up is getting on my nerves. He used to be the voice of reason but that no longer seems to be the case.
And what’s with her jonesing to fight at the drop of a hat? Is this residue left from the demon gift? Gareth should have left her and the cat behind rather than taking them along in his search for dragon’s breath. She’s having a hissy fit because he hasn’t spilled his guts to her about everything that’s happened in his life. We know he’s circumspect and has already shared more with her than probably anyone else. Where does she get off judging him?
The only reason I'm continuing to read this is because I want to find out what happens to the vampire. I pretty much don’t care if Layla survives or not.
I’ve got to admit that the storyline picks up as I read further. I know Rowyn professes that she doesn’t believe in God but if He does exist, as the angels seem to believe, why doesn’t He deal with Lucian? Just a thought.

Great series that has grown on me, as has its female lead character.
Admittedly, Rowyn is the furthest thing from my idea of who a heroine really is, but she does make me laugh. Between herself and Tyrius, the snark and silly insults are all over the place, and this book is the absolute best of the series so far! It's thrilling, gritty, bloodthirsty, and Rowyn never disappoints with her snappy mouthiness and penchant for getting messed up, bloody, bruised, and filthy. She gives the ultimate sacrifice for her sister (their bond is through their link to the archdemon Lucian), as she risks it all to save Layla from permanent death and the clutches of Lucian. I was so engrossed and captivated by the creative genius of this writer that I finished this book in just under two hours! Five stars. So worth it.
Half the book was pointless banter between the heroine and her cat it added nothing to the story. No humor or character development, no insights into personality it was just inane drivel. The heroine seems like she has a multiple personality disorder as she goes from useless ineptitude to badass demon slayer to impatient juvenile and Zack again. This book is tedious and the story is rushed. would not recommend.
Excellent series so far. I'm on book 7 currently and am awaiting the next book in another of your stores to come out. The only issue I have is spelling. There are some words that are incorrect. It's rare, though. Like preyer is actually prayer. And manikin is mannequin. Preyer is an animal hunted or caught by another for food. I don't think that is what you meant in book one.
Keep up the excellent work. Your world is a fantastic place to escape.
An interesting read in this series our hapless heroine Rowyn ploughs in with her usual recklessness and nearly loses everything. Her sister Layla is taken by Lucian and the darkness takes over Danto the vampire almost dies and has to be saved by Gareth a trip to the Elven world almost gets them executed and Rowyn is killed by an angel. Interesting definately.
Another fantastic book in an already amazing series, I really enjoy reading about this world and there fascinating characters, I'm looking forward to reading the next one in this series.
I liked the whole saga but really by this book everything was very repetitive. I didn't like that characters like Jax didn't return.Or if we knew what had happened to him, there is no depth in the characters, not even with the protagonist, but the reading is good.

The dark angel stuff was so cool! Really great worldbuilding there. I also loved that we got to see the elven city and get to know Gareth's background a bit more.
Que sorpresa más inesperada. Me a gustado esta entrega aunque el ángel era.una arrogante no debía de mo. Aún asi.que el arcángel apareciera fue lo mejor
Loved following Rowyn, Gareth & Tyrius' adventurers & hate to get to the last book in any series I've enjoyed from page one! However, with Kim's brilliant writing flair, she ensures our magical gladiators' finale goes out with an enjoyable & unforgettable bang! We even get to meet up again the wonderful 'furry' angel guide from the excellent Horizon Chronicles, Lance! Great to read about him again - missed him! Can Rowyn bring Layla back from the darkness given to her by Lucian; will they be able to stop the Armageddon he's planning to release upon the world, will any of them survive to tell the tale & is life as Rowyn knows it now over forever! Loved the new mini Tyrius additions at the end & the wonderful fact we've a new series to look forward to - yay! If you like magic, supernatural intrigue, nail-biting & exciting scenarios, feisty female & a sexy male elfan MCs; along with a hilariously witty, 'kitty' baal demon - then this is also the series for you. I urge you to read any of Kim's wonderful books - you won't be disappointed! Needless to say, highly recommended magical read!
What a fantastic conclusion to an amazing series! This last book is packed full with lots of suspense and intrigue and a ton of butt kicking action. Rowyn is still one of my most favourite butt kicking heroines. She’s fierce, sassy and loyal to her family and friends. But she won’t hesitate to give you a good smack when you need it. Her love Gareth has just the right kind of strength, loyalty and love that Rowyn needs. And Tyrius adds enough sarcasm and snarkiness to keep you laughing throughout. Love that demon cat! Everything about this entire book was thrilling and exciting.
Outstanding writing as always. I can’t wait to see what This author writes next. I am sure it will be just as amazing as this series was.
I received an advanced copy from the author to review this book. I love it. I knew something was off when it mentioned Danto wearing shoes. Then Layla embraces the evil. The twist of Rowyn turning into a dark angel to defeat her father and save the day. I love it! She then gets to go back and live her life, which made me so happy. Things were just starting to get good for her and then all the choas. It is nice that she gets to go back and enjoy her life. I cannot wait to read more about these characters. Love these books!

If you have not read the other books in this series, stop right now and go read them. You'll be so glad you did. This is the perfect ending for this series and I was literally on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading it. It had twists and turns that I never expected! I've loved this series from the start and I absolutely loved the ending!
This series is amazing. The right amount of action mixed with humor. They kept me reading well past when i should have been asleep. I loved every book.
