ZOOK
Fallon Amos is a quiet, lonely executive at Prime Trust. She tries to mind her own business and stay out of the way, making herself almost invisible so no one will guess that she has a past that is as explosive as it is heartbreaking. Ryker Zook, or Z, is a new clerk at Prime Trust who’s taken a special interest in Fallon. When she relents and lets him help her with her workout routine, she can’t believe a man like him could be interested in her. She reluctantly opens herself to him, giving him piece of her a bit at a time. But Z has a secret and he’s worried that he’s taken this game with Fallon a step too far.

ZAYNE
Zayne Elrod met a girl when he was fourteen who became the measure by which he tested every woman he met. She was funny and beautiful and kind, the girl he could imagine spending the rest of his life with. How can you meet a girl at fourteen and know she is the one? Somehow, he did. Unfortunately, this girl disappeared after a school dance. His father knew what happened to her, as did most of the community, but they chose to keep it away from the children. Zayne never understood. Therefore, when he hears her name again, he jumps at the chance to see her. But she’s not the same girl he knew a decade ago.

CRUZ
Yuliana Dias is a new version of a mail order bride, brought to America from Colombia on the K-1 visa that requires her to be married within ninety days of her arrival. The moment she walks off the plane and sees the man she’s destined to spend her life with, she’s filled with excitement. Unfortunately, this man is not the fiancé her family has arranged for her to share her life with, but the bodyguard her future husband has hired to protect her from enemies only his paranoia has ever met.

LOCKE
Locke Gladden is at a Mexican resort, enjoying sun and surf, free drinks, and the touch of a beautiful woman. What could possibly be better? The only problem is, the woman whose touch he’s enjoying isn’t his wife as they’ve told everyone, but his partner. He’s undercover, trying to unmask a criminal, using this beautiful woman he considers a friend as bait. She’s beautiful and if she puts on one more bikini, he might just forget the lines they drew in the sand years before, and step into new territory. Why not?

OX
Cheryl O’Donnell has had a phone flirtation with this guy for years, one of those things that seems innocent enough on the surface, but can carry the weight of a true romance if given the right light. But things have changed, and she’s beginning to think this man isn’t who she’d always believed him to be.

Ox Winn and his security firm, Caballo, have been hunting a serial killer for a year. He’s gotten close enough that the killer has hacked the firm’s computer system and has begun sabotaging their cases. Is it someone working in the firm? Is it someone they trust, someone they work side by side with each day? As Ox hunts his killer, he finds himself struggling with the guilt of placing the people he cares about most, his employees and his live in girlfriend, Kinsley, at risk. Has he finally found the one case that will be too much for him? Or will he once again outsmart the criminals and triumph over darkness?

NOTE: This is the 2nd volume of Caballo Security and can be read as a standalone. However, to enjoy the series better, I highly recommend reading Volume 1 too :)

High tension suspense

Ok, so there are the ( mostly) HEAs as well, which are well developed in and of themselves... but the story lines themselves kept me so engrossed, I simply didn't sleep. I couldn't! One more page...one more page....

I missed volume 1, but that WILL be remedied this weekend. Why Not until then? I have three days of work to catch up on!

Highly recommended for those who require tension, suspense, and powerful story lines. The partnerships are well done, but the story lines are amazing!

I loved boxset one and excused the errors but now book one Ryker Zook dad is dead in some chapters and alive in others this is stated multiple times.
Then his brother is away in military then he’s home in a hospital bed after being hit by mortar bomb years earlier. Fallen meets Ox when he was undercover yet when they meet again that isn’t brought up it’s like the other meeting didn’t happen, so I have to comment on it needs serious editing!!!
Book 1 is about Fallen being in danger as her dad is in prison but says he’s innocent and
now evidence says he is and there’s a serial killer out there, the book ends with no resolution which was very disappointing.
I loved all stories were independent but the underlying story interlaced each book until the final conclusion
I have to reinforce it needs editing, a man that was dead was alive again in later chapters which was very confusing until I realised it was yet another blunder. It was disappointing that it turned out it was an operatives father’s secret step brother from an affair that was the murderer however that fact wasn’t brought up, I felt it needed a few chapters of the operative, his father and grandfather to have a conversation. I felt it was missing that interaction toopiece it together and let truths be told.
After the criticism tho I absolutely loved both boxset 1&2.

Totally unbelievable that...

...Garth would not have explicitly instructed his men to make sure Cheryl was as comfortable as possible after removing her from the hospital. He had been her flirtatious ally for more than 10 years, even though they had never met in real life, so I can't believe he would have allowed them to leave her on her knees for hours in just a hospital gown on a cold concrete floor, with her injuries, after drugging her unconscious, when there was a safe room with a warm bed and even a way to prevent her from leaving since they felt it necessary. His omitting specific orders for her care was so inconceivable that it totally dragged me out of the story for the rest of the book.

A real nail biter!

The suspense and mystery continues to build as each story unfolds. At first I was disappointed that more of the characters from volume 1 weren't present. However as more new characters were introduced more of the previous characters became involved. Volume 2 definitely keeps you more on the edge of your seat! I had to keep reading until my eyes wouldn't stay open, and continued reading again as soon as I was awake.

Too many errors!

This is an awesome series, especially the chapter with all the twists and turns and characters revealing who they really are. But...they lowered their heads 91 times in the book, and rolled their shoulders approximately 76 times. Talk about overuse! It will be a great read for someone who can ignore all the errors. Probably as many in Volume 1...I just didn't keep count.

Worth binge reading!

WooHoo! 🎉 Cheryl’s story is finally told (along w/more of the Caballo Security family). Angst, mystery, love, sex & some very happy endings w/a few that leave you guessing to the very end. I loved that it was a box set so that I was able to read one story to another w/o the download time.

Running the race against time

I enjoyed this box set. Each story was different and the situations kept my interest. At times I couldn’t put it down. I still wonder how the author came up with a couple of the scenarios, my mind just doesn’t work that way 😄. I recommend this book if you like your romance hot and mixed with suspense.

Awesome

I loved the twists & turns, how she doesn't just concentrate one one couple at a time, but brings in what's happening to others at the same time. She keeps you one the edge of your seat waiting for what happens next! It's always worth the wait!! A very good series with out a lot of filthy talk & explicit explicit scenes! Can't wait to read what else she has!

On the edge of my seat

This is a great suspenseful series. The writing paints a beautiful picture in your mind of exactly what is happening. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it wasn’t as sexually graphic as some modern romances. Leaves a lot to be assumed without spelling it out.

Loved it.

Fantastic

I loved the way all the peoples lives intertwined. I stayed so caught up and captivated by the turn of events that I could hardly set the book down! Amazing work. Absolutely amazing backstories that all made sense and didn’t get to overwhelming and ruin the book!! Definitely one of my top favorites!! (:

Another good set

This box set has some really good twists to the stories. The stories was all good in the ways it lead to each character. I wish the love scenes were better. I guess I just like more steamy scenes. I did figure out who the serial killer was way before the last book. I was glad I was right. Thank you.

It's all there.

All the potential in the world, the developing storyline was interesting and had the makes of a wonderful novel; however, I never could become engaged with my attention fully invested. I will definitely have to give this story another try later on.

Great series

I love all of this writers books. Each of these characters are strong, resilient and down to earth. They display compassion and a vulnerability that is deep seated in their personalities and begs the reader to experience the emotional depths presented. I will continue to read more of her books just to be a part of the journey and adventure.

Definitely 2nd best

This volume is not near as good as the first. It was very predictable, choppy with the stories and you had it figured out by book 2. So the rest was just a waste. Very disappointing.
