19-year-old Taylor Reid just got caught in the act. For the past six months, the attractive blonde yet devious college freshman has been carrying on an affair with her new stepdad, directly under her mother's nose. When her mother comes home unexpectedly and catches the pair in her bed, Taylor is given 24 hours to leave the house and never come back. Frantic and without a plan or money, Taylor desperately scans the job postings online. "A fresh start in a new state might be just what I need," Taylor thinks to herself as she answers the posting for a live-in caregiver several states away. Greg and Kathleen Brown are a thirty-something-year-old affluent couple living in the picturesque suburban town of Barlowe Connecticut and they are looking for help. Due to a psychological condition as a result of a horseback riding accident, Kathleen Brown is no longer able to drive or take care of the couple's family. "Kathleen, I am going to get you some help around here before you hurt yourself or someone else," 34-year-old finance executive, Greg Brown, tells his wife after finding her wandering lost in the nearby park without shoes. When Taylor finds herself working as the Brown's live-in nanny she soon realizes that her old habits are hard to break.
