Defender Waves: My journey to owning a Land Rover Defender
For most Land Rover owners, its more than just a vehicle; it’s a lifestyle and one that comes with great dreams of one day taking part in expeditions across deserts and mountain ranges. For most and in my case, limited finances make an expedition almost impossible, but, with determination those dreams can one day be the adventure of a lifetime. This short book is the story of the pathway I took to be in the position of owning the vehicle of my dreams and being ready to take part in a tour of Africa. It details ten years of ups and downs and the story behind each of the vehicles I owned, from a rusty Range Rover that was barely held together, to a fully equipped and prepared overland vehicle kitted out to my exact requirements.

Failing, learning, picking themselves up, trying, failing, and trying again, never giving up. Various levels of emotional maturity and humor of characters should appeal to both YA and adults.

Violence: PG-13 rating. Frequent high adrenalin action scenes and tension. Scenes of death and injury.
