"Very enjoyable and exciting! Great pace and thrilling to read…"~1550 B.C., Kingdoms of Egypt and Atalanni.

In the Kingdom of Egypt across the Great Green Sea, a new young Pharaoh is taking the reigns to restore the glory of the empire by expelling the wretched Hyksos, the foreign rulers whose odious presence fouls the North. He sees the Atalanni as allies and hopes that he can fight the Hyksos with their help.

But the gods of the Atalanni have other plans.

When the earth trembles and lava erupts from temple floors in the Atalanni capital, the powerful Oracle announces that the gods are displeased. The empire must expand its dominion, she says, or the Atalanni will face their wrath.

Sent away to fight the formidable Pharaoh, Atalanni General Teber will soon learn that nothing is as it seems as duty conflicts with morality, treachery hides behind a veil of piety, and hubris confronts cold reality.

And when the fires finally die, a stunning secret will be exposed, and one great Kingdom will remain.

Heros🐺🍆⛲🔪 Are Made, Not Born On The Eve of Destruction💀🌋

ADULT Ancient Historical Adventure⛵🔪, Political Intrigue, and Romance💕.
A Man's Gotta Do🔪 What A Man's Gotta Do🔪!

This second book seems like a prequel to book one in this series.
In this book, the mysterious and ancient kingdom on the island🌋 of Atalanni figures prominently. It's politics and backstabbing all the time there by the crazy 👑king. He takes advice from his equally crazy seer and bad💀 things begin to happen.
His wife👸, the queen, is in love💘 with Teber🐺🍆⛲🔪, the General of the Atalanni Army and the King's Champion. Then Teber🐺🍆⛲🔪 is sent to fight in Egypt🌴 against the Pharaoh.

Meanwhile, the volcano crater island🌋 that Atalanni perches on, begins to show signs of erupting. The mad 👑King forbids evacuation, and with the lava eruptions🌋 and the earthquakes, His Kingdom literally begins to fall apart!

Teber🐺🍆⛲🔪 returns to grab the queen👸💋 and take his revenge. He and his men get caught up in the fighting, which is extremely gory🔪💀 due to The primitive nature of the weapons back then.

What a delightful and wonderfully written ancient historical novel! This book is so well done and interesting, it makes me want to read more nonfiction books about this time period.
Highly recommend!

The forces of greed and desire for power drive a story of adventure, deception and lust. The character are a little shallow, but realistic. The story is full of violence and suspense. The wrath of the gods is presented in a continually-growing volcanic eruption, which forms the backdrop for the entire story. The writing is clear and easy to read, but the story goes on at great length. I received a copy through Hidden Gems, my best source for new books.

A delightful read, even if there was a little too much fighting and battles for my liking. It’s the nature of the story so it all makes sense.

It was a beautiful reimagining. Believable, full of interesting details, bringing the potential story and destruction of Atlantis to life.

I really enjoyed the characters, the world building and even though it was a slow read, it was worth it.

Atlantis revealed

This story had me waiting for more! I wished that the Teber would have lived but it was a beautiful ending. Unfortunately the Royals were sick people and Atlantis suffered for it. It was a great read! Thank you!

Entertaining and thoughtful

It is challenging to create a picture of a time and people mythologized for centuries. This effort creates a fiction based on the known and the gaps are filled with a story.
